Prodigy Finance made funding my studies abroad a smooth and reassuring experience. Their team is professional, communicative, and genuinely supportive throughout the entire process. My admission was deferred to January 2026 intake due delay in Matching stage of my loan process. Eventually, I got a mail on Monday July 28, 2025 that my loan has been matched successfully. I emailed prodigy finance on Wednesday July 30th, 2025 to verify if I accept the offer whether I will use the LCL for January 2026 intake. The reply I got on the same day, after apologizing for the delay, was that I should accept the offer first. I went to borrow a sum of 826,056NGN which is equivalent of $500 and paid to accept the offer. LCL issued to me was still bearing September 2025 intake, all efforts to get it corrected was not yielding any positive results. Meanwhile, I acted based on the reply I got from Prodigy finance. I was deeply pained and felt cheated when I was told by the same people that informed me to accept the offer, that they don't allow deferral.
When all efforts to explain myself through emails that I sent did not yield any positive results, I reluctantly accepted withdrawal. Honestly, I was not happy the way I was treated.

Kindly verify my claims and make necessary adjustments.

The team is responsive and efficient. The amount approved for the loan is just enough to cover for my tuition, I wished there was just a little more to cover for some portion of my living expenses. It would also have been more convenient if the entire funds for the full tuition is approved at once instead of having to reapply for the second year. What prodigy can do is to approve the full amount, pay for the first year, then hold on to the tuition for the second year, which will be released to the school if the students meets some set eligibility criteria.

The application process was straightforward and easy to navigate. I appreciated how clearly the steps were outlined, and I didn’t feel overwhelmed. The website and dashboard are easy to use and navigate. I didn’t have to spend time figuring out how to upload documents or check my loan status.

I applied for Prodigy Finance loan, the process went smoothly and my loan was approved and reserved. Confirmation letter was issued. Unfortunately my institution is refusing to proceed with my CAS because they couldn’t find my details on the portal. I checked my page with Prodigy and I noticed that my application has been withdrawn. I did not withdraw my application and no mail was sent to me in that regard. I have complained to customer service, and it’s been 5 working day now and no solution yet. I am about to loose my admission because of this ugly situation.

I had a smooth experience with the verification process on Prodigy Finance,everything was clear and professional. However, it’s been over two weeks since I completed verification, and my application is still stuck in the matching stage.

My classes are starting in September, and I am now getting very close to my university’s final deadline. This delay is causing a lot of anxiety as I am depending on this loan to secure my seat and make the necessary arrangements.

I kindly request the Prodigy team to expedite the matching process for my loan. I truly appreciate the platform and your support for international students, just hoping for a faster resolution now, given the urgency.

I was approved by Prodigy in March 2025 and received repeated emails from April through June assuring me that my funds were reserved exclusively for me. I trusted that confirmation to plan my second year of studies in the U.S.

However, just two weeks before the payment deadline, I was suddenly informed last Friday via a generic message that my loan was canceled due to global demand. No direct explanation was provided, despite several emails I sent requesting a reconsideration, including their complaints email address.

Instead, I was referred multiple times to apply with a different company, which does not address the specific concerns I raised about the reversal of my approved loan.

This experience has been extremely disappointing, especially given the timing. I asked Prodigy to review this case with the seriousness it deserves and to consider the commitments made in prior communications.

The verification process was easy and fast but the matching process is taking over 4 weeks and it afects directly to obtain my CAS, my visa takes another 3 weeks and my course starts in september. If you could help me I will be so gratefull, I know that you have a lot of pending matching requests guys.

One suggestion would be to clearly differentiate between system-generated emails and those from customer support especially when addressing user queries.

I don't know what is going on but my loan matching is delayed for about 22 days since i did my verification. My school resumption in UK is Sept 2025 and i have not made headway on my visa application and CAS because i believed Prodigy will match my application and provide loan confirmation letter soon. This delay is getting out of hand and it will be responsible of Prodigy to inform applicants on case-by-case basis why their application is delayed in the matching stage instead of sending generic email response to inquiries.

I was initially matched and approved for a student loan through Prodigy Finance, which gave me a strong sense of financial security heading into my graduate program. However, the experience quickly turned stressful. Despite meeting all stated criteria and having submitted all required documents, my loan was suddenly cancelled after being matched and having a loan confirmation letter, the official reason was there was no sufficient funding anymore

This caused enormous stress and uncertainty at a critical moment in my academic journey.

International students already face a complex web of financial and visa-related logistics. A more transparent and accountable process especially around final decision-making and document verification would go a long way in rebuilding trust.

I already reached out to the complaint email listed but I didn't get any response, I did asked to get a refund on my 500 that was paid to secure the funds,

The verification team was not straightforward. They were unnecessarily delaying and changing the requirements. They will ask for a document only for them to say we need another one after you have provided it. Sometimes takes ages to tell you it has been rejected. There was abit of shoddy work. I provided my address which could easily be verified by goggling but the verifier saw another estate in another part of the country with similar name and assume i lied. Only for me to goggle to show her, mine also has a similar name. Had my address on a bank statement but still said they needed a document for address. My experience was horrible
