I was in Somerset for the week and was looking for a gym to keep up with training whilst away from London.

I didn’t have high expectations in general and stumbled across Progress Gym on Google. I was absolutely blown away by the gym and so happy that I found it.

Upon arrival at the gym, I was shown around both sites and in the end stuck with just using the main site as I was strength training for the week only. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. I went with the weekly pass which worked out to be better value than paying for each time I visited.

All the guys on reception were super helpful, and I even met the owner who took the time to talk to me and run me through the ethos of the gym.

I have been to quite a few gyms around the UK, specifically those for strength training and bodybuilding, and Progress Gym is right up there with the very best of them.

The gym has lots of variety of machines from pin-loaded, plate loaded, free weights, cables and squat racks. Inclines, flats, declines. Different variations for all muscle parts as you would expect. There are loads of single arm and double arm attachments and the gym was super clean! I mean the cleanest gym I’ve seen.

There was a culture from everyone using the gym to put your weights away after use and attachments back on the wall. There was even photos on the wall of where to place the attachments!

I will be definitely be back at Progress Gym when in the area. Great job Rob and the team!

A fantastic gym with great staff and excellent equipment.
I have never been greeted with anything less than a smile and a quick check in to make sure I'm okay and what I've got planned for that sesh. This gym goes above and beyond for its members, a cut above any corporate gym and I've been to a few! I highly recommend if anyone is in the local area to go have a chat and see if they can help you PROGRESS.

Quite simply the best gym in the region, and it's not even close. Welcoming, attentative and hugely experienced staff who will happily share their knowledge and advice to keep you on the right track. And a spotlessly clean and well maintained gym that is packed with all the workout equipment you could dream of. If you're looking for a new place to workout then Progress Gym should be at the top of your list.

Everyone's so welcome and encouraging. There's a large variety of machines to use and loads of knowledgeable and helpful staff that have helped me on more than one occasion to figure out how a machine works. The culture they've cultivated there is so embracing it was a sad time to leave when we moved home. We still tell people about how awesome this gym is - a great gym is hard to find. Thanks so much all! 💖

The staff are all very helpful, friendly and approachable. The equipment is in amazing condition, and you won’t find machines like these on offer at other gyms in this area. Highly recommend to anyone, only left due to work commitments but will be back!

Progress Gym 'nails it' when it comes to providing a welcoming environment, a comprehensively equipped facility and qualified, knowledgeable and engaging staff.
I am welcomed by name on arrival and regularly offered encouragement and 'helpful hints'. The equipment is well-maintained and new pieces are introduced regularly.

Generally I'm not a real fan of gyms. But I've been a member of Progress for nearly 2 years now and it really does feel different. A very talented and mixed team of coaches (male and female) led by Rob.
It feels a very safe space and has members from what seems like 18 to 80.
The team always greet you with a warm welcome and are on hand to offer advice and assistance.
There is a very good selection of machines and free weights and I rarely seem to have to wait to use a particular piece of kit.
I have no hesitation in recommending Progress to anyone looking to move gyms or starting completely from scratch.
I'm leaving a review for the simple fact that I enjoy going there and the team at Progress deserve a positive shout out for all of their hard work and enthusiasm.

Both sites of Progress Gym have an enormous range of equipment for a very varied workout. The team members at the gym are always very welcoming.

I’ve been going to progress for nearly a year now. The staff and services are second to none. Lovely lovely people there! The facilities are top notch and always improving, I am a powerlifter and they have everything I need to train up to a high standards. Bravo!

Their strapline of "More Than A Gym" is bang on! From a personal greeting when you arrive, the vast array of equipment giving me & my PT a wide range of training options and feeling that the team really listen and respond. There's always a positive vibe, which is what you need when you're going to a gym, especially us 60 year-olds-or-so!

Great gym, but what sets this gym apart from others is the staff. From day one every member of staff remembered my name and greet enthusiastically when you enter; it's the small things like this that make a big difference. Very clean with good selection of equipment,however, a minor issue is it can be a little tight for space when busy.
