I was unable to get an appointment at my local doctor so the receptionist sent me a link to Push Doctor. I duly registered, linked it to my NHS account, loaded the app and agreed the appointment time two days later. 10 minutes before the appointment time I entered the waiting room, but received an email just after the appointment time saying they were running 10-20 minutes late. The doctor called me around the 20 minute mark and after inspection of my passport, it was evident that the line was poor and she would call me back. After a short pause, I decided to terminate the appointment and re-enter the waiting room. The doctor called me back a minute or so later, and we had a10 minute consultation at the end of which she prescribed medication. I confirmed our local pharmacy address with her and 30 minutes later walked to it, where the pharmacist advised it had been received on their computer. After a short 5 minute wait it was dispensed. Brilliant - all in all an excellent service which worked well for me.

Firstly, i went 10min early, then waited an hour at position no 1 and still nothing. What is the point of having an appt in the first place. I also wonder how the doctor is going to see down my throat on video. How much are doctors charging for this service? Its a rip off if I have to wait online longer than being at the GP.Honestly, it isnt worth the use and would not recommend it. Either learn to self heal or travel out of UK to see a doctor in person if you can.

Friday morning and our local surgery has a notice that they are not taking any same day bookings until monday. My wife was in great pain from her throat, couldn't even swallow so had no choice but to use an online service. Waited in the online waiting room for 20 minutes past the appointment time before she was called. After a short time the call just cut off so we had to go back to the waiting room where we waited a further 25 minutes. Finally it was answered and she was just told to use pain medication and wait for her throat to heal itself.
As the Doctor could only see the front of my wifes throat not the back where the problem was she requested more than Nurofens and eventually he prescribed antibiotics. We duly went to the Pharmacy only to be told that the code we were given does not work, so, a wasted afternoon and £45 poorer and all for nothing.

The doctor was great but Push Doctor is now using SignatureRX which was not accepted by any pharmacies in my local area. Morrisons and two independent pharmacies refused to prescribe me emergency medications. It was only when my mother called and explained the situation that a pharmacy allowed me to use the SignatureRX service. One pharmacy told me to be careful about using online GP services. I was told that PushDoctor normally emails the prescription but in this case they didn’t, it was sent via text message. Overall It was incredibly stressful.

My Dr put me in contact with push dr I made my appointment via the app got text message 10 mins before appointment to go to waiting room spoke to the Dr got immediate prescription just waiting for the xray to be done I had excellent service

Dr was late and received no apology. Was told 10 minutes wouldn’t be enough time to help me and was told to go to my GP. Didn’t seem remotely interested in helping, £45 down the drain. Waste of time and money. Please avoid

1pm signed up, 3pm had a consultation and by 3:30pm the prescription was ready for me to pick up at my pharmacy. Dr Raji was really lovely & overall a fantastic service. Ignore the bad reviews on here, seems to be people moaning about the own GP letting them down & general moaners..
Highly recommended and will use again!

Me and my wife have been badly let down with appointment's through push doctor twice now, I would strongly recommend that if your surgery request you to have a push doctor appointment then refuse it and insist on a proper doctors appointment

1h before my appointment they called and told the doctor had an emergency to attend to. They rescheduled to 2h later. Nothing happened on the app. No appointments, no phone calls. DO NOT USE!!!! ITS A SCAM!

Like many people at the moment I am unable to get an appointment with my gp, they offer the walk in service at another location but it's seriously grim there and it can easily be 4 hours to be seen. My body hates me and decided to develop a nasty chest infection, I was starting to panic as I couldn't breathe properly, couldn't do anything really, aching all over and coughing so hard I thought I was going to be sick. Frantically searched the Internet for help (have successfully used the online clinic before but felt this needed a doctor to see me). Sign in process was simple, only waited 5 minutes after the specified time and the doctor was absolutely amazing, she was spot on with everything she said, sympathetic and calmed me down enormously. If the review was based on her alone she would easily exceed 5 stars. The only downside for me was having to travel across several different towns to get my prescription and there was a misunderstanding on the quantity prescribed. But here I sit now, enjoying breathing again, a luxury I won't ever take for granted again, I dread to think what would have happened if I hadn't found push doctor. Looking at the other reviews here, it's world apart from what I experienced money very well spent for me.

Do not use!!! Happy to take your money but no GPs available despite times lots being sold. Took my money and been waiting over a month for a refund, still not got it and fobbed off and lied to. I’m going to the press, the General Medical Council and I’m going to take them to court. This is a disaster waiting to happen with people’s health and money!!!

I waited 25min in the waiting room, no apology from the doctor for being late.
Was not impressed with the doctor, he seemed totally bored and couldn't wait to finish the call.
I then battled for help when no pharmacies could find my prescription in the system and was told very conflicting information between the doctor and the person I spoke to in the online chat.
Three pharmacies and two hours later, I eventually managed to pick up my prescription.
Phoned my GP on Monday 25.10.21. Had a severe allergic reaction to an unknown source. No appointments available. Was offered Push Doctor. Push Doctor appt scheduled for 28.10 @ 19.40. Logged onto the app as required and made all the necessary inputs. 19.32 received a message to say they are running late and wait times are 30+ minutes. Scheduled appt time came and went. Received phone call at 20.03 to say the Doctor is running late and has to cancel. Was told that I can rebook for Sunday 31.10 @10.00. Then I received an email to say that I’d missed my original appt! I didn’t, the Doctor did! I emailed a complaint to ‘customer experience’ and received an apology to say that my 31.10 rescheduled appt is prioritised. I checked the rescheduled appt on the app and it’s not there!
It’s now past 11.00 on 31.10 and still no response or phone calls.
My opinion: Don’t waste your time with this service. I’m contacting NHS to inform them that they are no doubt paying for a service that isn’t being delivered.
Was referred twice by my GP because they refuse to see people and could not give me a phone appointment for 3 weeks. This is my second push doctor referral and both time the waiting has been in excess of 1 hour.
My first appointment I had to wait over an hour due to technical difficulties. I cannot fault the GP but the wait is ridiculous, people have things to do and work to be at!
I had an appointment yesterday and was called to rescheduled due to the wait time being over 2 hours. I am now in the waiting room and have already been told that the wait time is over 30 minutes despite being told I was a priority and had a GP assigned to me and would be seen straight away.
Clearly 10 minutes is not enough for people, they need to extend the times to make this a better service.
I paid £45 for a private GP consultation at Push Doctor because the wait for my appointment at my NHS GP is over 3.5 weeks. This was my first experience with both Push Doctor and virtual GP consultations.
I logged on a couple of minutes early, submitted my ID, went through the network and speaker / camera tests on the app, so was ready and waiting at my appointment time.
I waited 25 minutes to be connected to a GP, and found myself in a consultation with a doctor who did not smile or provide a reassuring greeting, and whose manner throughout was brusque. I felt embarrassed going through my symptoms.
Part way through the call, the connection dropped out. There was no guidance on the app as to what to do in this situation to get back into the consultation - the button of the appointment just blinked when clicked.
I used the chat function to seek help and was told to go back into the ‘waiting room’, which I was eventually able to access after repeatedly clicking. I waited several minutes. There were no messages to say that I would be reconnected, and eventually I decided to give up.
I spoke to a helpful lady at the Customer Experience team to relay my experience of using the service and to ask for a refund, and this was immediately agreed.
To summarise, I have lost just under an hour of my time accessing a frustratingly unfit-for-purpose service and still have a 3.5 week wait to see a GP about my health condition.
Push Doctor is a great idea, and judging by the 5* ratings on here, many people get a good service from it. However as one of the two biggest providers of private online GP consultations (along with Babylon), the positive aspects need to be delivered consistently and reliably to all users of the service.
Specifically, in my view, Push Doctor needs to:
1) Recruit enough GPs to limit waiting times to under 5 mins per patient. Some of the waiting times reported in the reviews are shocking (1.5 to 2 hours).
2) Improve the app to make the user interface smoother and to provide more information - particularly regarding wait times and to guide re-entering of the consultation if the connection is lost.
3) Ensure all Push Doctor GPs are up-to-scratch in their bedside manner, dealing with patients with kindness and empathy. This really isn’t too much to ask. Nobody wants to feel like a sheep needing to be dipped by a stressed, time-pressured farmer.
Verdict: Disappointing. Would not recommend.
I booked an appointment because my GP has been impossible to get through. I then read the reviews after booking and became a bit skeptical.
But I guess it's a hit and miss because I was provided with excellent service.
Needed a fit note for work and some meds. Got the note while on call via email and prescription was sent to my local pharmacy and ready to collect in less than 2 hours. The doctor was early and listened to all my concerns.
Will definitely use again when needed.
Very bad. I waited for two hours on the virtual waiting room. I called twice to make sure the sistema wasn’t frozen. They told me to keep waiting. After two hours I got a message saying my session has expired. Called them again. They said they were sorry but I could not see a doctor on that day.
I found push doctor very frustrating. App wasn't allowing me to book appointment, I'm assuming there is an error with the app at the moment. Called customer services and twice I was told they can't book an app for me, that I have to do it through the app, which isn't working for me. Time consuming and frustrating
My first and last attempt! I waited half an hour and could not stay on line due another appointment. I have no idea whether I will be charged but somehow I suspect I will, even though they did not honour the "contract"
Appointment was due at 16:00 I entered waiting room at 15:50 I’m still in the waiting room now absolute joke, definitely avoid, just the same as gp not giving appointments. If I was over an hour late wouldn’t be seen.
