Just an awesome platform overall. Nothing else like it for backtesting.

I like that I am able to backtest my strategies quickly. I can try many new ideas and see how they perform over time. I like that there are a lot of explanations on the Quantconnect website, so I can find answers to any algorithm questions I have.

The best all-in-one platform bar none. New features are coming all the time and existing ones are supported well.

The community provides plenty of support and ideas for inspiration.

It's life-changing to be able to do research, backtesting, and execution with basically the same code.

This site is very powerfull, I start using it several years ago. Well written, well documented, well structured software for algorithmic trading. It's even opensource. And I do believe it is also for all levels, you can begin simple strategies and advance. Through quantconnect it is also possible to get access to datasets that would normally be too expensive for retail investors. A great source to get and continue research. I've personally used the online platform, the lean engine locally/server for both backtesting and live trading etc. It's really great 👍

Not for everyone. It's only for a specific few. Not intuitive, not user-friendly.

If you make mistakes and let's say your code generates no data, it won't tell you what the issues are.

It's more useful than Tradingview as the startagy tester there just simply can't be used for automation. But I'm saying MT5 is better

QuantConnect makes it easy to develop, back-test, and trade algorithms for equities, futures, forex, and crypto—all on one platform and in no time.

Extremely slow and buggy backtesting with very poor documentation. Using low timeframe for example typicalle gets stuck for 10-20 minutes for single day of trading and then suddenly runs out of memory without any explanation.

Documentation is extremely poor. the API is documented so badly that it's almost impossible to get anything to work unless you use lots of trial and error. And I have 20+ years of professional programming experience.

The IDE itself is very difficult and cumbersome to use. If you write questions or comments about the platform to the user forum on why some things are slow or do not work, they delete the questions.

Subscription and canceling process is full of dark patterns and tries to deceive you to pay extra for nothing. When you order a subscription and pay for a period that is clearly stated on the invoice, if you cancel you LOSE THE ALREADY PAID time.

I would advice to stay away.

This is the best platform for individuals. I seldom subscribe to 'pro-account' things, but I did for this one. The dirty stuff like data cleansing, backtesting framework, error handling is done by them and I can focus on the fun stuff, printing money.

Alex stayed the course and helped me with an issue that turned out to be not QuantConnect’s fault. But it turns out his idea led to a resolution. Much appreciation!!!

QuantConnect provides an amazing service with their data and servers and the ability to run algorithms as if I were a hedge fund. I wouldn't be where I am without QuantConnect!!!

Quantconnect is a great resource for the deployment of algorithmic and quantitative trading ideas. Once a user is familiar with the event-driven architecture of the trading platform, bringing strategies into action which align with a trader/investor's view of the financial markets can be carried out with great efficiency.

The documentation for the trading platform is comprehensive and helps with strategy tuning. Then there's backtesting and optimization which are pretty great to tinker with, amongst other resources user can interact with.

Sometimes the website is slow, but never for a prolonged period, however it is still a nag. Overall, I'm delighted with the product; looking forward to more deployments and engagements with the community!

This is a pretty unique business. I've learned a lot as an investor just creating and running simulations here. I really wish these folks the best and hope they can continue to grow and thrive.

Have been using QC as an individual for 3 years, has been a smooth and consistent experience the entire time. Quantconnect makes building a trading algorithm highly accessible to anyone with an idea and a bit of coding knowledge. Handling all the background infrastructure for you, they make it easy to build your algorithm, backtest against market data, and even deploy it live with a supported brokerage.

Sometimes it can be a bit difficult to learn the syntax and what a method does, but there is a lot of documentation available, as well as community forums.

All this has really helped me focus on my strategy rather than building infrastructure from the ground up and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to try out quant finance or algorithmic trading.
