I have been using Rain for 2 months with no issue, but from the 28 November it connects with out internet. I tried reaching out to their WhatsApp chat with so assistance, i want told to pay my december subscription but still it doesn't connects. 😡 poor service

I have been with Rain for a long time and have never had connection issues before. Everything changed towards the end of this year, when the service suddenly collapsed and became completely unusable at my location.
Since then, my connection has been offline most of the time, extremely slow when it does work, and overall impossible to rely on. The service failure is ongoing and severe.
What makes this situation even worse is Rain’s non-existent customer support.
I have tried emailing, calling, and logging multiple support requests via the chat, yet Rain repeatedly:
Closes my tickets with no resolution
Does not call
Does not email
Does not follow up
Makes zero effort to contact me or fix the problem
Support tickets are closed without progress, without apology, and without any attempt to troubleshoot.
Despite this, Rain continues to bill me R625 every month, fully aware that the service does not work.
Because Rain’s network has become unusable, I am forced to buy additional data from other service providers just to stay online. This costs me another R500–R650 every month, meaning I now pay double because Rain cannot deliver even a basic functioning connection.
This is financially draining, unfair, and unacceptable.
I have logged numerous queries with Rain, including (non-exhaustive):
40343708, 40343144, 40281930, 40281742, 40281192, 38888322, 36987896, 36175936.
On 19 November 2025, I issued a formal cancellation request based on Section 54 of the Consumer Protection Act, due to Rain’s failure to provide the service. Rain has ignored this request and continues billing without resolving the issue or arranging equipment collection.
I am now demanding the following:
Immediate cancellation without penalties
Stop all billing and debit orders immediately
Collect your equipment within 3 business days
Provide written confirmation that this account is closed
If Rain continues to ignore me, I will escalate the matter to ICASA, the National Consumer Commission, and any other regulatory platform available.
Consumers should not pay for a service Rain knows it is not delivering — and should not be ignored when asking for help.

A few years ago i bought this wifi it just kept getting worse every year this entire month i couldnt do anything i was an entire month without internet because this fuckass companies wifi is ass you pay over 1k just for it to not work

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Rain WiFi
I signed up for Rain’s WiFi service because they advertised 60 Mbps upload and download. What I actually received was around 1.63 Mbps, which made the internet almost unusable. The network quality was terrible.
The day after receiving the router and testing it, I contacted Rain to collect it and cancel the service. They did not do so. Instead, they continued trying to debit my account for months. Luckily, I removed the funds so the payments bounced, but it has now been five months of asking them to call me or resolve this issue with no response.
This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. I would not recommend Rain to anyone who expects reliable speeds or proper customer support.
Avoid this provider.

IWhat a useless company with a useless network with useless technicians.
All they can tell you is, reboot you router or reset your by unplugging you router for 30 seconds
I was promised a ticket will opened and is still waiting.

The most frustrating service provider I ever dealt with, I'm not gonna pay for the router I'm not using and asked for cancelation but was never assisted, I don't know how many tickets I have. I have sent proof of payments but haven't received any response,its been a full month now. 074 881 0132 please call me tomorrow after 11h00

Pure incompetence from Rain. I've had no connectivity for a full week and even after multiple attempts to get word on when a new router would be delivered, there's still nothing from them or their courier company

Been a client from 2021/22 but now that I need to cancel an account - no one is assisting, you answer the same question a thousand times with no help.
They keep saying I must cancel my account on they app, they know very well that there is no option to chance on they app.
I am surely never using this network again

I have had Rain for years but from August 30 I have had an unstable connection literally every single day. I have done all the troubleshooting in the world from restarting the device to a hard reboot to speed tests and Rain has done a million restarts from their side too and no resolve. It’s now Nov 21 and I’m still struggling yet the debit orders keep going off. Not sure what I’m paying for anymore. All I keep getting is there are minor alarms etc which I have heard a million times. I’m exhausted! I’m frustrated! I’m shopping around for a new ISP because this is nonsense now.

I struggled a little bit when I got the loop zone especially when it came to changing and confirming my location but I got such amazing help from one of the agents I think his name was Devin if I am not mistaken, he was truly a life saver

I am writing to report an unpleasant interaction with one of your customer service agents. On 19/11/2025, at approximately 09:40, I contacted your support team regarding my payment date. The agent named Jack was extremely rude and unprofessional and i doubt that he even gave his correct details cause he was hesitant . Specifically i pay my account on the 25th but i changed it to the 1st. I got an sms that i have an amount due. now i am told that i have to pay 50rand to reinstate the network. why do i have to pay R50 when i only changed the date and now i need to change it back
This behavior is not acceptable, and I request that this matter be investigated. Please confirm receipt of my complaint and advise what steps will be taken to address this issue.

Rain is honestly very bad once they see you use alot of data they throttle you from 5pm to the next day, after 5pm every day there service is pretty much useless. Don't go for its very very bad I would rather go with other brands.

despite paying R645 on 1st November for unlimited loop zone data, the loop zone is not activated and shows no data. An agent previously said the loop zone was activated, but the issue persists. Customer requests assistance to resolve this activation and data access problem.

I upgraded my rain subscription to the new router that is more expensive. I thought that the old one will cancel but it did not. I switched the old router off as soon i got the new one. Unfortunately the steps of cancelling was not communicated to me. I then had to pay double for 2 months and i did contact them after the first double payment. The problem is you see them only when they are done. They also just cancelled the 2 sims linked to the old contract i had and my 4g camera also stopped working. In my opinion they are not ethical when it comes to billing and hiding stuff to catch you out.
