Reabilitejo are great to work with. They have a collective experience from various parts of the world, they also have a great knowledge of Portuguese building methods as well as current technologies. Their approach is holistic; first they understand the condition and history of the building, understanding the constraints that are imposed by location, structure, legislation, etc. from this, they provide broad brush solutions and discuss the potential merits and pitfalls of each. When they are discussing matters in my own area of expertise, as a civil engineer and architectural technologist, they clearly show their knowledge, and when they are discussing other matters they explain it in an easy to digest way. I feel that they understand me and my lifestyle in order to provide a solution that meets my needs.

Consistent Top-Notch Service for Survey and More

The survey Reabilitejo carried out for a house purchase in Central Portugal was very detailed, with excellent communication leading up to the event, and ample opportunity to review and discuss the results. Reabilitejo were very transparent in terms of providing an itemization of their anticipated costs, answering all questions promptly, ensuring I had a clear understanding of what they could offer and what was outside their purview, having clear agreement and consent from me before moving forward, and following up with a well-written and easy to follow report. They did not blanche at the somewhat remote and the definitely very poor condition of the house, and in light of same, were also kindly proactive in suggesting additional steps I might consider before completing the purchase, based on the understanding of the tasks ahead and the local environment.

Drawing upon their knowledge and love of Portugal (and their understanding of lay of the land in terms of Portuguese systems, culture, and norms) the information they have shared, and ideas they have suggested, have been invaluable for someone like me, coming from a different cultural system and set of expectations. Their knowledge and actions have reduced potential misunderstandings or misinterpretation when it comes to navigating Portugal.
