Superb, speak with John and the team if you are looking for no nonsense car and van hire, they are good people who will help you out if they possibly can. Nothing is too much for them, and then there's the price...cheapest around, by quite a margin, good range of cars and vans.
If you are hiring speak to them you will be pleasantly surprised by just how good they are. Staff that talk to you as if you are a human, and won't ask you for 5 references as Enterprise did...

I've used these for many years now and find the staff very friendly and help full nothing is a problem the vans I use is for business use and always find them to a high standard and very reliable they are far the best in town for good service and reliability would recommend to try these first you will not be disappointed

Why are your Receptionist at grimsby branch when you ring up and ask about the hiring of their vans it makes you feel horrible and go elsewhere
There us no need for it when we are polite with them
So please teach them manners we are all not rude

I had a truly fantastic experience renting from Ready Rent a Car in Hull. I have used the company several times. From the initial phone call with Matt to dropping the vehicle off, everything was so easy. The staff were brilliant—they answered all my questions and made sure I got the right vehicle for my needs.
The van itself was in excellent condition and spotless inside. It was a fair price, and I was especially pleased with how straightforward the deposit return was. None of the horror stories you hear about other rental companies here. It’s clear they value their customers. Thanks again to all the team!

We wanted a small van as our vehicle had a small problem and we weren't sure how long it would be off the road. We had hired a van for a week from RRAC at Doncaster in January this year. The staff were lovely and very helpful. That's why we went back. But what a contrast in 8 months with the two girls on the front desk this time.The girl dealing with us probably doesn't know of the word discretion or the meaning of it....A quality of speaking to avoid causing offence. Well, she did a good job and made my husband feel dejected. We had already been back twice due to not having all the letter required for ID. We don't do on-line stuff. We had a NHS letter, though dated April this year the appointment was for October this year. She wouldn't accept that. It made us both feel very uncomfortable. I felt she was on a power trip and nit picking. No decorum from her. In my opinion & experience she should have accepted that letter. Plus my husband has hired a van in January. We didn't want to ask our friend to take us back home again. I couldn't afford to lose £50 which was taken over the phone. She failed to mention it would be non-refundable! We needed a set of wheels. I went ahead with the hire and I would drive my husband around where he needed to be. The one star is given because the girl was very prompt at getting a mechanic to us when I thought there was a problem with the van. RRAC maybe affordable but we were treated cheaply. I will never ever recommend or use them again. I feel such relief that I don't have to walk into that reception and face those two females who could do with learning some customer service skills.
It costs nothing to be polite and pleasant. The mechanic was lovely and helpful and the yard lads who dealt with the van.

I rang to hire a van from the Scunthorpe branch.First issue was someone has to physically be at the premises to reserve.Living some miles away I had to get a friend to go down.Other than literally standing in reception he played no part.I paid deposit on my card.This silly rule easily overcome by allowing people to reserve and pay deposit remotely on the understanding that should they not produce licence and relevant I.d. they forfeit part of the deposit as they prevented the vehicle being hired to someone else.Anyway having paid £250 deposit I went down a few days later to pick up the van.To be fair all staff from reception to the guy handing me the keys and pointing out previous damage were friendly and helpful.The van itself was rough for relatively new,noisy in the cabin and not much fun to drive,but as I only wanted it a few hours did not concern me.On returning some strange error led to me being charged a further £250 rather than being refunded my initial deposit.I was told the card machine provider would be informed and the issue sorted.At this stage I am £500 out of pocket.Zero contact from this firm and weekend so following week I make contact.I am told the issue will take up to 72 hours to resolve.Well here I am almost a full week later and no resolution.The second payment is ‘pending’ in my bank preventing my access to it and according to my bank will be released back to me if unclaimed by midnight tomorrow (over 7 days from hiring the van).The first payment whilst undisputed by the hire firm will not be refunded until they know the outcome of the second payment! It is all the card payment operators fault and definitely not the hire firm as I am assured by the hire firm lol.Basically with various phone calls and messing around I have devoted more time to trying to recoup my deposit than I did driving the van I hired.Ridiculous situation and a ridiculous firm.As I pointed out on the phone several minutes ago would they be so laid back if the situation was reversed and I owed them £500? I very much doubt it.
