Bait and Switch! Deceptive practices
This company hounded me and hounded me constantly calling me. After deciding to go with a U-Haul because of price they called me again after the fifth time and said they could pick up my belongings move them to Michigan from Floridaand unpack them for me for only $300 more than the U-Haul. I provided an itemized list of everything we had and they said no problem. I paid a $350 deposit before they came to pick up and the. When they got there I was to pay $500 and another $500 upon delivery. Once the movers arrived they looked at everything we had and said it would be double the price because it was more than the square footage allowed on the truck. Even though everything there was exactly what I described them. Obviously I couldn’t afford double the price. This was on a Sunday and I tried to call the company and got no response. I told the movers to forget it because I couldn’t afford double the price! After calling the company on Monday and going back and forth on email with them they would not refund my $350 deposit even though I was guaranteed a non-changing price when I signed on with them. This company does bait and switch and is very dishonest. Avoid st all cost!
DO NOT USE!!!!
DO NOT USE!!!!! I told him I felt pressured and that I was being scammed but Christopher was such a smooth talker I let him convince me otherwise. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I was told "no extra charges, no tax, the quote is the total price". NOPE!!!! I got an email after agreeing telling me that my TV's had to be boxed, pictures had to be in boxes, etc. I specifically told this man that I had "a stack" of pictures, etc. I am now being told that the $1200 I put down as a deposit is non-refundable. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!!! This exact same thing happened to my cousin with a different company when she moved from CA to AL. I should have known. I will see this company in small claims court. And I would NEVER RECOMMEND anyone use them!!!!!
This is scam company don’t even try it.

I was really excited to book with Real…
I was really excited to book with Real Time Relocation when I receive the phone call from Ryan. However, I regret it 110%. This company is unprofessional and lacks communication. My items were on the road and no one gave me any updates on who would be the carrier. Which left me with plenty of questions for Ryan who was already on vacation two maybe three days prior after I booked with them. After calling around for hours, I was finally able to get a hold of someone who told me Ryan was on vacation leaving me, clueless at where my belongings were. I would highly recommend for anyone not to book with this company.
Terrible experience
I was quoted a price $300 less than the cheapest price I was quoted from several other companies. I was told the reason they were able to do this was because they had a truck in the area and it would be returning to FL empty. Three people from the company called me the same day to confirm everything. I was VERY specific in what they were transporting. They were to pickup a bedroom set from the warehouse of the furniture store I purchased it from. I would not be there but did go to the warehouse the day before they were to pick it up and the warehouse was wrapping my furniture ( which Reatime Relocation stated they would also be wrapping as well) the day of the pickup their driver Carlos called and demanded an extra $400+ stating there were more pieces than I told them! First of all I never told them how many pieces because it was a wall unit bedroom. Their supposed be the professionals and between the 3 people I spoke with all confirmed the quoted price. As a matter of fact Timothy ( said he was the manager at Real time) called and said to me “ if you have anything else you would like to add go right ahead, because your the only delivery on the truck” he said there would be no extra charge as I specifically asked him that.
This company is a scam demanding more money from a customer who was in literally holding the hand of my dying friend when Carlos kept calling me and I told him that! It took them 8 days to deliver my furniture when I was told 2-3 days maximum from the time they picked up the furniture. I WOULD NOT recommend anyone do business with this company.
If zero stars was an option or lower…
If zero stars was an option or lower those would be a more accurate scale for this company. I received a quote to move from Florida to Arizona. Pricing was $3,795.51, which was less than a pod. That how you are drawn in. I paid a deposit of $1,095.51. A few days before the move I received a call to review items being moved. I shared photos and talked about the furniture. The rep stated they did not quote enough space and the price went up to $4,665.20 plus another deposit. Total deposit to date: $1,415.30. When the driver arrived in moving day he walked into the garage where I had most boxes, a few remained in the house. Without entering the house the driver commented that not enough space was quoted. He didn’t even go inside yet. When he went inside, he said my furniture was too large and increased the price to a total of $6,498.21. That is an increase of $2,702.70 from the initial quote. I did not add anything as the company is claiming but it seems to be their common counter statement. I was given two choices, 1. Fill the truck to the original quoted volume and the rest gets left behind, which then makes a moving company useless, 2. Agree to the higher amount and if it fills to a lesser level the pricing would be adjusted down. Trouble with this one is that those on a budget would get hosed by owing more than they can afford. Neither option is customer friendly. I took option 3 and told the driver to leave because I couldn’t afford the added cost and I did not want to risk owing more than I can afford. I submitted a complaint with the BBB and the company offered me a 10% refund, So I paid $1,415.30 and they offer a refund of $141.53. Here are the failing I found with this company: 1. The initial quote was based on the space of a POD I previously packed where I used the drawers and cabinets of everything. For them everything has to be empty. This was not accounted for. 2. When I had a call a few days before pick up and shared photos of all the “large” furniture and boxes, they were still unable to quote correct or maybe they did and the mover on site decided to increase the cost again: 3. This is a classic bait and switch tactic. They get you in with a price that no one can beat then every time you talk to someone it’s another increase in cost. Do not use this company so you do not get swindled like I did. Quote with a big name mover like Mayflower. Use companies that come to your house and provide a written quote based on seeing what you have and not imposing unimaginable increases. If you talk to Jack D hang up immediately
If I could give zero stars. DO NOT HIRE
If I could give zero I would. I’d like to start by saying I spoke to Nick. Who lied through his teeth to get my business. Said everything he could to tell me how great they are. They are NOT. They do not tell you they are a broker and that they charge 1251$ to book movers for you!! They tell you it’s a deposit. Once you pay you will never ever speak to him again. Others will take the call and continue to tell you that you’re in the best hands.
I only found out that they were brokers after the movers had me sign paperwork and it showed my deposit as a broker fee.
I did not hire a broker I did not want a broker. I was simply trying to book movers myself. I’ve been scammed out of 1251$ I don’t want to see this happen to anyone else. I’m sick to my stomach about. DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY
REALTIME RELOCATORS!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely agree with all the 1stars…
Absolutely agree with all the 1stars and horrifying experiences are stuff came covered in rat shit and piss and told there’s no way that’s from there where house beyond scum and scammers do not hire trust the 1 stars and not the other ratings
Worst moving company in the world …
I’ve been nervous to leave a review after what happened to me with these horrible company as I was afraid they might retaliate. They nearly doubled the price from the first quote which was under 2000 and held my belongings ransom for two days when they said they would be showing up the same-day delivery as I only moved an hour away. Please stay far far away. I’m actually just finishing selling my home and when it’s sold, I’m grateful to be a journalist with a good seven figure mailing list and will let the world know about this company.
Wish I would have seen this website…
Wish I would have seen this website before I used them because everything that everyone has experienced just happened to my family as well. My advice is use a local company that can do an in person actual proposal and not an estimate. Don't recommend using a broker ever.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would! Do not go anywhere near REAL TIME RELOCATION. They claim to care about their customers and the experience, but it's a lie! The sales person I spoke with was charming, charismatic, and I bought it. We were given a quote for our move over the phone. They do not have agents come to your house for the estimate, they rely on you to tell them what you have. Our quote was $4994. I put down a deposit of $2144. Three days before our move, the same salesman called me back to ask if we had any extra boxes. I added some lawn tools- shovels, rakes, etc and 20 boxes. I was put on hold for 75 mins as he "added up" our extra items. I finally hung up and was immediately called back by the same guy. The cost of my move now jumped to $10,000! I said no way! I couldn't afford it. The salesman said I could not have my deposit of $2144 back. After a lot of back and forth, I said no deal, I'd rather lose $2k then spend $10k. The next day the owner of REAL TIME RELOCATION called me. He asked if we could work something out. I said I didn't trust them this point if possible would like a refund. He said he would work with me and get me some money back. I have now reached out to him five times since June 22 and he keeps putting me off. Telling me he'll be in touch and never calls or texts. It's awful. I'm a single woman supporting my elderly mother, trying to do the best we can. I can't afford to lose $2,000. So I'm posting this review everywhere I can think of. DO NOT USE REAL TIME RELOCATION.
BUYER BEWARE IF YOU HIRE THIS COMPANY…
BUYER BEWARE IF YOU HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE!!!!
We had a subpar and stressful move with Real Time Relocation. After being quoted what we thought was a great price to move within the state of Florida, along with great and courteous customer service from another employee, the move went south on our actual move day. After receiving a quote including 2 trucks and 4 workers, we were disappointed to have only one truck and 2 actual employees show up on move day. There was an additional third-party "mover" that showed up to help move and disassemble furniture prior to the movers showing up who we are pretty certain either THREW AWAY or STOLE the screws to THREE pieces of our furniture, including our main and only dining table (which is still sitting unassembled in our garage).
Sam, the main point of contact for Real Time, decided to pull one of our trucks for some unknown and unexplained reason, then rudely tried to throw in our face the fact that we planned on renting a separate moving truck from a local company (which we did to move other items to storage, as well as items we knew that couldn't go on the company's truck). So when we were told our items (which were on our inventory) wouldn't fit on the moving truck, we had to scramble the same day to find and rent (out of our own pocket of course) an additional truck to accommodate many of our other items, which caused us to have to leave behind some of our other personal items and come back to retrieve them on a second trip.
Our movers, who were courteous, didn't get to us until the afternoon after having been awake for nearly 22 hours on a prior move (which should be illegal). They didn't leave our area until almost 8pm and were told they had to continue on to our new location 5 hours away and not allowed to stop and rest, which would have put them at our house at 1 am!! They subsequently ended up crashing the moving truck (pics attached) and had to be towed and await repairs which thankfully allowed us not to unload at our new home at 2 in the morning, but the next morning instead. It took the 2 movers SEVERAL hours to unload at our new home, so we did feed them out of courtesy. We did have a few items that were damaged due to a proper lack of wrapping and cushioning and cramming items into the truck. I was FURIOUS that they did not ask the third "mover" for the screws or insure that they were taped or attached to our table, our daughter's bed, and my husband's office desk, so we now have three pieces of furniture that we need to repair or replace as we try to find screws to reassemble our furniture ourselves. After complaining and providing our furniture info to the movers, I suspected that I wouldn't hear from anyone to attempt to rectify the problem and I was correct.
Absolutely terrible and smug "customer service" and execution is NOT worth the initial low estimate and empty promises. LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR MOVERS!!!!
Scam Alert
If I could give a negative number, I would. After booking
other companies called to give me a quote and I told them we already booked Real Time Movers. They warned me they were scam artist. They were right. Got an email from them stating they determined distance and material changed. If I canceled, I would lose my deposit. Called them and left a voice message to call me. They called and left a voice mail with me saying they would call me with pick up time for 2 days earlier than I requested. We had to pay to get into new house 2 day earlier plus change electricity, water and insurance. This cost us $150+. I called Real Time and they said the email they sent me was a generic email they send out. Really? A generic cost adjustment? When I questioned that they said it was sent by mistake AND my pickup date was staying as originally requested. So I spent $150+ for nothing. Then they called me about inventory for pickup. I wanted to add a coffee table and they said it would be $300 more. I said forget it. They also wanted $30 for each mattress and box spring ($120 more) to wrap in plastic. I said no! Driver left his folder at my place. Direction and phone conversations were listed. His office said "I was very cheap". Really? Avoid them.
Big Scamming People in the industries
First of all they are not movers, these folks are brokers from Florida who are middle men and give jobs to other moving company. We were moving across country from west coast to east coast. When I reached out for a quote, their rep kept calling every day. I was dealing with guy name Ryan. He was very courteous, responsive and kept promising that all terms verbally discussed will be honored. We had reservation finalizing the booking since there was a possibility our dates can change or move wouldn’t occur. He told us multiple times that the deposit will be refundable so don’t worry about changes, however if we don’t book, we may not be able to get the dates we needed. He followed up every day. Once the contract was signed no one cared. Our plans changed and they would not respond to multiple phone calls or messages left for them. After getting hold of them finally, they stated that the deposit is not refundable. Our experience was very bad including upper management. Both sales rep and upper management were very rude after contract signing.
They will scam you into locking price. Read the terms and condition very carefully including small fine prints. Do not just trust your representative. I would stay away from this company or be very careful with getting everything in writing. Do not believe the google reviews. Their reviews are either fake or paid reviews.
BAD experience
Do NOT trust this company whatsoever. I have my stuff picked up on 12/15/2023 in Houston. I still don't know when my items will be delivered in Phoenix. First, i had no idea that i was talking to a broker. His name was Chris and talked about Jesus and God and how much he loved family etc. to give an impression he is a honest God fearing person. During the call he asks for your credit card and charges an amount. two days later he is not to be reached (even to this day). Then "Nick" calls and revises the quote and gets his share. Prior to the move, i would get calls everyday from Chris. Then your project is transferred to a moving company called Arena Van Lines. This company has even worse customer service. No updates are given and occasional call comes saying they have identified a "truck driver" and will responsible for moving our stuff. then no updates happen and when I call again, the truck driver is finishing up a previous move, then an accident happens, then still awaiting and now finally the delivery date is set as 1/21-1/24. when asked about if this is a confirmed delivery date, the story repeats like truck driver is delivering other people stuff, accident may happen etc. A COMPLETE WASTE OF ONE's time, money, and resources. These scammers need to be held accountable, but they have powerful lawyers and make you sign up front to their terms. I can only hope and pray that nobody falls for this company.
DO NOT USE
Was supposedly family run..They had advance notice of my move date and still gave the excuse that the truck hadn't arrived to pick up my things. Then, they told me with a days notice that my things were being delivered. They only sent one guy. I told him I would pay him once everything was moved into my apartment. He was nasty and said "wouldn't everyone like that". He was a contractor, had all my things piled at the end of the truck. I had a beautiful wicker container that was crushed along with a new floor lamp that was destroyed. He charged me for all steps even though they said they wouldn't charge for 7. I had 8 steps coming into the condo building and then another 8 to my door. I had a hydro rowing machine that he couldn't move by himself and I ended up lifting one end and carried it up with him into the apartment AND I was charged for the steps.. I called the company to report and they basically gave me the cold shoulder and told me to file a claim and they couldn't do anything about me helping the mover since he was a contractor. I would NOT recommend using this company!!

I was told it was a family owned…
I was told it was a family owned business and independent contractors showed up at 11:30am when I was adamite that I needed to be as early as possible. I was also told three guys were coming and only two showed up. One did all the work and the old guy, smoked, and did everything I asked him NOT TO DO. My boxes were labeled FRAGIAL AND HALF OF MY CHINA PLUS WATERFORD CRYSLAL WERE BROKEN. I have moved many times within Florida and NEVER HAD ANY OF MY EXPENSIVE WATERFORD BROKEN.
They left half of the items on our estimation and said another truck was coming, well I called and no truck was assigned. These guys were rude and lazy. They would of had to dump my fragile boxes for that much breakage. $1700 for a 3/2 house to be moved 85 miles YET I was forced to hire another company to finish the move. They were GREAT. Young able body guys who finished their job without any bull. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY GO TO SOMEONE ELSE.
THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU!
Used this company for a long-distance move, including 1-month storage. Multiple items never showed up, including expensive adult bicycle. When I contacted customer service and suggested things had been stolen, they said that was not possible, and they had been "lost" or "delivered to wrong customer". How do you lose a bicycle? And, you are professional movers, how do things get delivered to wrong customer? That's why there are inventory lists and stickers on every item, identifying the customer. They are either very incompetent or very dishonest. Thousands of dollars worth of our items just disappeared. And many of the boxes that did arrive had been opened and clearly rummaged through, then carelessly repacked. I was told the storage facility was secure with limited access, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
They will also LIE to you and say they only use their own trucks and employees, not contractors. Every crew that showed up to move us told us they were independent contractors. That leaves very little accountability when things go wrong.
I know I am not the only one with this experience. Check reviews and BBB complaints. And during the initial pickup, the crew leader got a phone call from the office, they were trying to figure out how items went to the wrong customer on a previous move. This is all in addition to damaged boxes and broken items that actually did show up, even though clearly marked "fragile".
I have used movers multiple times in different parts of the country, and this company is the absolute worst. Save yourself lots of frustration and headaches and just use someone else.
DO NOT BOOK THIS MOVER! Watch out for the Bait & Switch!
Update- I love when they say this isn’t a customer of theirs. I have receipts!! I have their original quote and the final balance that doubled, as well as pics of all the damage. DONT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
Company does not provide an accurate estimate, purposely lowballing the price so you sign, to then increase the rates two days prior, when you have no other options. The cost of my move more than doubled. They then shook me down 3 more times in the process of moving- once at the end of pick up, saying I took up more space on their truck, after I paid for the full truck, then later that night, after I paid, saying they made a mistake and said I owed more. I refused. Then again, trying to charge me a second time, for the same bulky fee charge I already paid in the contract. They damaged the house I moved out of, most of my furniture, damaged many of my boxes. Their third party insurance claimed they sent a settlement offer but didn't. And then in the end, closed the claim without ever paying for the damaged.
What they did is criminal and I now have to take legal action.
