I've had the Recoheat for about a year but only installed it in February. It was easy enough to install and you wouldn't know it exists - until you switch it on. I have the air pump in a cellar around 10m from the Recoheat. You definitely can't hear the pump. When the fire is lit and the Recoheat is on, the noise of the air is barely noticeable, however once the stove is roaring, the air emitted from the Recoheat sounds like a jet engine. It is noisy and even with the TV on, it's very noticeable
That's the only drawback, which has to be balanced by the fact that the room heats up more quickly. When it's time to retire for the evening, I leave the pump running on a timer for about three hours to ensure the house gets as much heat from the fire before it goes out.
All in all, for the price paid I'm very happy with the Recoheat.

By the way I forgot to say Recoheat were great in answering my questions before purchase and gave me good advice prior to me installing it.

The Recoheat is great. Does exactly what is promised. It pumps more air than I expected and makes a huge difference to the feel of the house. Our central heating is set to 18degC and comes on half as often.

I still say 5 stars but if there's 1 pick....

The videos by Tortoise and Recoheat oversell the quietness of the pump a bit. It definitely needs to be in another room.

Other than that.....I found it easy to install and I wouldn't be without it. A lot of R n D has gone into it and the price seems pretty reasonable considering that.

It has exceeded my expectations the HETAS engineer was so impressed that he is looking into fitting one for himself. It has proved timely because of the fuel increases as we have been able to turn off all the central heating as the heat traveling all the way through the bungalow 16metres.

This is an easy 5 stars for all the standard things like speed of delivery, accurate description on website, customer services, etc. all of which proved faultless.

But the real question for a device like this is does it actually work and live up to the advertising claims? In my case, the answer is a resounding and obvious "yes".

Firstly, the heat distribution within the room is much better. I'm sitting at my desk to the side of the chimney breast typing this review. This is usually the coolest part of the room but this evening it's more comfortable because the whole room is much the same temperature.

Secondly, the room was noticably warmer this morning, having benefitted from the Recoheat unit recovering the heat that would normally have gone up the flue after the fire went out. So another win.

Thirdly, an unexpected benefit. Because I've put the air pump outside I'm getting a constant flow of fresh air into the room (my wood stove is room sealed and draws it's combustion air from outside so I don't otherwise get this). The whole house feels fresher as a result - without needing to open the windows and let the heat escape.

There is some benefit to the heat in other rooms, but the layout of the house means this is quite small. I have a heat transfer system arriving tomorrow to improve this - the Recoheat unit means I have plenty of heat to spare.

So all things considered, I'm a very happy customer.

Great device love the extra heat gained with it

Great service from ordering to delivery to technical support, fitted 2 Reco heat systems now and the customers love them adding extra heat to their homes.

We have been thrilled with Recoheats costumer service. They were professional and worked hard to sort out some shipping trouble we had which was not fault of reccoheat. The product itself has transformed our old stove into a central hearing unit.

Great service, very neat unit. Adds a good amount of additional heat. The hum of the air unit is not a problem.

Very quick delivery, all arrived safely and well packaged. I will give a full review when it is all installed.

Will was really helpful over the phone, giving lots of technical and practical advice but also dealing with the import tax to ship the unit to Portugal.
Unit received in good time, well packaged with clear installation instructions.
I have not installed the unit yet but am looking forward to trying out as soon as I do.
Service so far has been great..highly recommended.

Facile à installer, efficace et sans risque

Ordered it for our stove, it certainly helps to warm the room (and the next one) far quicker and more consistently.
Had the flue swept and the chimney sweep had no problems.
I had a problem with the silencer on the pump which I managed to break. Emailed and had a replacement sent to me within 24 hours without charge! Communication and service is excellent.

Will Answered all my questions. I was concerned about a correct fit for the Canadian market. The transformer needed replacing and that was taken care of simply by letting them know the one that was sent was defective. Easy to install and immediately noticed a difference in the amount of wood I needed to burn to maintain a comfortable temp. I already have a blower on my wood stove but with the addition of recoheat, warmth moved further into the cooler areas of the house. I hope this becomes a more adopted accessory to Canadian wood stoves! Love it
