Must Stay Healthy For This 1:1 Coaching
This company offers a 16-week or 52-week 1:1 personal coaching program. I opted for the 52-weeker, a substantial amount and required 50% down, and the remainder was divided into monthly payments charged to my credit card. Do thorough research before signing because the program is NON-Refundable once you sign on the dotted line.
My time on the 52-weeker is over, and I thought I would share my quick thoughts on the program for anyone interested.
Each enrollee is assigned a personal trainer who will formulate a personalized training program tailored to each person's fitness desire and level. I especially like that, as the trainer will adjust the training program to whatever equipment you have available or no equipment.
The training sessions take you through an extensive warm-up and stretching routine before the actual exercises. Follow the program and you rarely get any sore or aching muscles because of the pre and post warm-up and cool-down. In my workout sessions, the workout sessions came to about 1/3 of my sessions on actual strength training, while the remaining 2/3s time was spent on pre and post workout.
A lot of educational material and meetings to get the enrollee mentally prepared for the journey, and a community forum for continuing support. Since I knew what I wanted, I didn't join any of the discussion groups and rarely called into the monthly meetups with the personal trainer.
I injured myself a few times during the program, twisted my back, twisted my knee, fell down, and ended up with an infected knee, etc., and asked my program to be suspended until I recover. Evidently, suspension of a program with this company requires prior management approval, and all the suspensions that I requested were for nothing. The company did offer to discuss over a call regarding "my misunderstanding." I declined the call as a company without compassion is not one I wish to deal with.
In summary, this is a very expensive program. The program does work, but not as fast as you would like, which was stressed repeatedly. To do this program, you need to stay healthy. The assigned personal trainers are great. But I feel my progress could have been much more with another program.
