On our DAY 2, Wednesday 29th September, at approximately 11:45 am we both attended the Kingston centre and duly had our samples taken. We were promised the results the following day but certainly within 48 hours. However, over some 2 days plus or 55 hours later we are still waiting for our results which is very disappointing.

Our trip was the first that we had taken since going down with a bad case of Covid-19 in March 2020. It was our chance to get back to normality and we thought that this clinic would make the process easier rather than harder. After 48 hours, I managed to get through to the clinic to ask what had happened to our test results and they explained that we were not to worry as the Government would have been duly informed, as would we, if our tests were positive.

However we are left with the worry that when the samples got to the laboratory they were not tested or not submitted. This type of failure provokes the question of how easy would it be just to take the fees and not do these tests? However the staff at Kingston seems professional and competent and we are confident that the tests were done and reviewed (so why not let us know?). However, other centres of other organizations may not be so honest and it may be worth the authorities auditing some or all of these organizations. We will now take our own lateral flow tests to confirm that we are not positive. Going on holiday and handling all the new rules and regulations and test taking in both countries was stressful enough without this additional worry.

We have given the company 3 out of 5 solely because of the helpfulness of the Kingston staff.
