This establishment lacks…

This establishment lacks professionalism and exhibits discriminatory behavior, rendering it an uncomfortable location. Despite the change in management and staff, the air conditioning remains dysfunctional. It would be advisable to exercise caution around the new manager and team. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment under any circumstances. I stopped by to explore their offerings and felt unjustly profiled.

The worst store worst experience

The new manger at this store is very rude and and does not have good customer service skills at all please don’t go to this store they are very unprofessional I was 2 days late which I pay my bill all the time they came to my house bagging on my door hard which made my neighbor think someone was breaking in she called me and told me they was ringing my bell a lot and bagging on my door screaming my name out calling reference talking about they about to put me out just lieing they treated me as if I don’t pay my bill woke my neighbor sick mom up off put her sleep pleased don’t shop at this store please these people back bagging on my door again for couple days late they knocking so hard the knocked my neighbors picture off her wall she called me at work now why u even at a customer house who is paying her bill corporate just seat back and allow they employees to tournament customers DON’T. SHOP HERE

This is the place to go for finding just about anything you need! If they dont have it at their store, they will call other stores until they find it for you!

Mike "your bearded salesman" is absolutely THE BEST I have ever worked with! He goes above and beyond to make sure you get what you need, he calls to let you know when they have great deals (just in case you need anything), he is NEVER pushy about getting you to purchase, and he always has a smile to brighten your days!

I had an issue with my husband's bluetooth speaker (we've had if for almost 10 years), and I ended up taking it apart to see what the issue was. Although I am very tech and mechanically inclined, I apparently severed a wire inside while taking off the back cover! Needless to say, I needed to find a replacement before my husband got home because he uses it EVERYDAY! Found one I really liked and added it to my cart. Mike calls as soon as he saw it to inform me that he had to order it. But he got all my paperwork fixed (I usually go inside the store not online) that I messed up and he put in the order. It came in about a week later and once hubby saw what I replaced the broken one with he was perfectly happy with the giant speaker (2- 12" speakers and 2 tweeters) and PA system that we picked out!

Yall, I have been working with Mike for right at 10 years, when I moved here to TN from OR and this man has NEVER disappointed me! If you live in knoxville and need something, I highly recommend going to see him! Even if you live in the surrounding areas, it is worth it to go a little out of your way to get the best service!

PS. Raymond at this location is also a great guy. Never bought anything from him because I always buy from Mike but Raymond is very sweet and always makes you feel welcome!

Horrible Customer Service

Horrible Customer Service. I was out of work for a week with Covid and asked to pay a double payment next week and was told no because of payment history. I am a single mother and make the payment when I get paid. Will never do business with this company again!!!

Nothing but problems

Nothing but problems. We’re paying for a protection plan that is essentially useless. They have extremely aggressive debt collections practices including showing up at home and work ( former employer) multiple times and harassing our neighbors and relatives. They scam, cheat and lie only to benefit themselves, saying one thing and doing something completely different. You’re a day late? They show up at your home. 2 days? They’re calling you 8 times and spoofing different numbers. 500$ pS5? You’re paying 1500$. We will never use them EVER again.

i was wrongfully terminated from the office in fort,myers, even while i was over qualified for the job , i am 56 years old , but still capable, and my resume clearly states that, i did the heavy moving moving, and door knocking, that they required of me, but then someone came in 1 week week and a half , who was younger but still did the same, but since the manager Andrew Harris worked with him in other places, he said he had chosen him, when rent-a-center clearly states that room for growth was obtainable , he said i was let go for lack of experience , "really" I have more experience than him in a administrative way, and how much experience does it take to move couches , beds, and door knocking???this company does not follow what they preach---i know first hand

Disrespectful staff

I'm writing this review out of here discussed for the Rent-A-Center location on 19th avenue and Glendale. Since new staff and management have taken over I've been disrespected beyond belief. I have been a customer of that location for over 3 and 1/2 years almost 4 years. All my items that I purchased are paid off with the exception of a bookshelf and during that time I repeatedly let the manager know that I was unable to finish paying off the bookshelf as times are hard for everyone but I managed to borrow some money from family to make a payment.
This young manager who's probably the same age as my daughter needs to learn more customer skills and professionalism because prior management and employees that were there made everyone that came in there feel like family they were respected and treated as if how they would want to be treated and sadly that previous manager and employees are no longer there.

I and the rest of my family recently lost our mother just recently in the last couple days and to be continuously receiving phone calls about a payment although I understand company policy and payments being due I just received a phone call on this day as I am burying our mother and in funeral services and the gentleman that answered the phone was rude and disrespectful I will never ever recommend that location for anyone to go through for furniture or any other items.

I am outraged at how I've been treated by new management and employees at that location I specifically stated to the same gentleman that continuously calls me three to four times a day to call me on Friday in hopes that I could take care of the payment including late fees however I was unable to do that and at the time he repeatedly called we were holding funeral services and arrangements. I stated to the gentleman that all future contact needs to go through management. Previous voice mail messages from the same gentleman were rude and unfriendly this is just unacceptable with employees and management treating long-term loyal customers that have otherwise paid everything off but a simple bookshelf.

I had to profusely apologize to everyone in the funeral services for the disruption on the phone I am visibly and shakenly upset and how I was treated and that is also the reason for the one star if I could give no stars I would.

If they're going to act like this over a bookshelf and use aggressive tactics just to get a payment and late fees I highly recommend in this review that anybody's reading do not go to the Rent-A-Center on 19th avenue and Glendale in Phoenix.

This is what happens when you have young people running major corporations and there's no oversight on how their customer services critical thinking how to handle hardship circumstances I mean this is absolutely ridiculous that I've been treated this way after being a loyal customer.

And if someone looks into my account they can see that I'm not a deadbeat and that I've paid off all my furniture with the exception of a bookshelf and for a company such as Rent-A-Center to allow their long-term customers be treated like this is unacceptable and I will post this on every review site possible so everybody sees how a customer who's been loyal and is enjoyed the services from Rent-A-Center has been treated during a hardship time and it was repeatedly called during a funeral and family services.

They are so disrespectful the rental center on 47 kedzie I warn you never go there they scammers over charge you disrespect you the manger Mr Nick is abusive very disrespectful and then they done did so many people like this you pay your money they take money off the card and then say you didn't pay when you realize what they have done they say owe it will go back to your card Ipay my bill faithfully every month when they did me like that I had them to come get everything out my house money is to hard to come buy to have a store to cheat you out your money never again smh

I have been working with Will for a very long time now. He is one of the most thoughtful and supportive person in all he does for his customers. He’s always making sure we get what we want and helping us in anything we need. Will supports through your purchase and then after he checks on if everything was satisfactory, he’s just an amazing man all around.

Extremely unprofessional and harassing experience

We rented a laptop from this Rent-A-Center and were late on a payment. Instead of handling it professionally, they sent a truck with a worker who banged on our door, refused to leave, and harassed us at home, even after we clearly said we would make the payment the same day. The behavior was aggressive and unacceptable.

When we called the store, the manager, Omar, refused to take responsibility and allowed the worker to continue harassing us. They would not even provide the worker's name. We had to warn that we'd escalate things before they finally backed off.

No customer--especially one who intends to pay--should ever be treated this way. Completely unprofessional and unethical experience.

Ren A Center is A MONEY AND PERSONAL DATA SCAM

Don't do anything online with these people, they approve you easily and ask for easy requirements with a low initial, once you start and pay the initial you send the documents they ask you for which they never check and never call you, you have to call them, and once you do they start transferring you to all their agencies and supports, none of them wants to help or charge the responsibility, when you finally manage to find someone to help you he tells you that they have not verified your data and they need to do it to send you, and here the good part, when you accept this they tell you that you must send documents plus references of friends and documents of your rental contract, already in this part they are asking you for documents that they did not ask for when you paid, and that when sending those documents you have to pay the first Payment, which you had already done to get into this problem, in short, no one wants to work, they ask you for more money

La peor experiencia

Llevo con rent a center desde diciembre del 24, honestamente a sifo la peor experiencia, primero dejo autopay o pago automático que nunca me debían, me atraso por que espero que ellos lo retiren de mi cuenta pero nunca lo hacen, me llaman todos los días acostándose por que siempre me atraso por 3 semana ya que jamas se procesa el pago de autopay, lo último es que llegaron hasta mi trabajo, jamas e dejado de pagar aun que siempre esté en atraso, aun así no importa y vivo con la amenaza de que me van a quitar lo que con tanto esfuerzo e podido pagar, simplemente por que ellos quieren que haga el pago semanal cuando no puedo hacer el pago semanal, me dicen que no puedo poner el pago de otra manera cuando busco información y dice que yo puedo escoger los días de pago pero no es así, me siento acosada y afecta mi salud mental, no se que más hacer con la situación, cabe recalcar que solo me atraso por 3 semanas y siempre lo pago por que con lo poco que recibo de mi sueldo intento hacer malabares, jamas me e desaparecido y menos e dejado de pagar, nunca e estado atrasada más de 3 semanas, todos los días me llaman a mi y a mis seres queridos desde el día uno que estoy en atrasos, hago un pago y me dicen que aun debo dinero cuando en el dashboard claramente me sale una cantidad, la dejo paga y al rato ya debo más dinero. Esto es en Puerto Rico

Alex is a THEIF and LAIR at the Gresham Oregon…

The manager at the Gresham Oregon store, Alex. Is the biggest liar an thief. Done business with this company for over 35 years and have never been treated so poorly in my life then I was by Alex. He is rude, condescending, liar and very abusive to my disabled family. I am disabled on a limited budget. When I decided not to keep the furniture they ruined in my move. He promised over an over my refund of over a $100.00 was in the mail to me. ALL LIEs. Never received my refund an Alex ignored my calls. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Have no respect for the elderly disabled folk…… very abusive mean ma ALEX !!

Do not get any furniture from Rent-A-Center in Charlottesville, Virginia

This was my first experience getting anything from Rent-A-Center I’ve been looking for a king size bed frame and they had one in stock and I said I don’t have a vehicle to come get it at this moment and they told me that they had no delivery drivers that they all quit. so I said OK let me see if I can get somebody to take me there with a truck. Next day I go and pick up my furniture everything was brand new except the metal frame that holds the bed up if it doesn’t have a box frame and they said It just come back in the store that day I didn’t think anything of it didn’t think anything would be wrong with it just thought it might’ve been a repo . I wouldn’t think that a store like that would sell infested furniture. I get home and wait for My Husband to get here to help me put it together. we bring the metal frame in and as I look closely in on the sides and underneath and crevices there cockroach eggs in spots underneath the frame and as I look closer around it, there’s rust in spots I guess from being wet or cockroach pee I don’t know. I immediately take everything back outside my house. I call them the next morning yet mind you I had to sleep on the floor because I had no bed frame. I speak to the manager who was very rude and I told him that I just wanted everything returned and I don’t want their business and I want my refund and he said we told you we didn’t have any delivery drivers that they all quit. I told him somebody needs to pick it up. I don’t care who it is. I’m not putting any type of infested furniture in my vehicle and he said what do you want me to do about it. Plus, I told him I had pictures of it and he said he don’t care. He don’t need pictures! I want them to come pick up this furniture up and give me my refund!!! I called corporate. I have to wait 24 to 48 hours for the district manager to call me back. they called other stores around me to see if they can come pick it up because it is sitting outside, which is gonna get rained on and that is not my fault because I don’t want any type of infested furniture in my house. I guess no other Rent-A-Center has delivery drivers and they said they would not pick up any infested furniture. Why don’t the stores have any delivery drivers right now just a little weird. Hopefully the district manager can resolve this problem and give me my refund back and pick up this furniture and I will never ever deal with Rent-A-Center again and I highly recommend that anybody else would either from the Charlottesville store! I also have pictures but I didn’t see a option to put it on here! I will be taking my taking my business to Aaron Rentals. They don’t treat people like crap and don’t have infested furniture!!
