While we do carry out regular checks on the agencies that advertise with us to ensure high standards, we do not manage the properties, handle tenancy agreements, or hold security deposits. Consequently, we have no direct control over the return of funds post-tenancy.

As we cannot act on your behalf, we highly recommend to contact Citizens Advice. They provide excellent, free guidance on tenant rights and can help you take the necessary steps to reclaim your money.

We are very sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration if the estate agents informed you that they did not have these properties on record.

At Rentaroof, we strive to keep our platform as accurate and up-to-date as possible by automatically syncing listings from external sources and estate agents. However, in a highly competitive housing market, properties can sometimes be rented out incredibly fast, and there can be a delay between an agent updating their own system and that change reflecting on our platform.
