Unfair Dispute Process, Zero Support & not tenant‑friendly at all.

My experience with Reposit has been extremely frustrating and completely unreasonable. At the end of my tenancy, Reposit raised a dispute over £12.68, despite the fact that my monthly rent was £1,650 and the difference in calculation was only £3. My calculation for three days’ rent was £159.67, while the agent calculated £162.67 without any proper explanation. I had already paid £150, plus £9 for key duplication because one of the keys was not working, which was clearly mentioned in the check‑in report. I genuinely believed they would round off the £0.67, but instead the matter was escalated. To challenge this incorrect amount, Reposit demanded £60 just to raise a dispute. Paying £60 to argue over £12.68 makes absolutely no sense and puts tenants in a helpless position. In the end, I had no choice but to pay the £12.68 simply to avoid the £60 penalty. The entire process felt unfair, discouraging, and designed to pressure tenants rather than resolve issues fairly. Very disappointing and not tenant‑friendly at all.

Please note that the charges are submitted by your letting agent/landlord, not by Reposit, and we're unable to negotiate or agree to an amount on their behalf.

To clarify, the £60 dispute fee is not a penalty, it is the fee required to refer an unresolved dispute to independent adjudication, and this fee is refundable depending on the outcome of the adjudication process. The fee forms part of the independent adjudication process and is applied consistently to disputes, regardless of the claim amount.
