RJW have been my go to electrician for two years now, and they are always efficient, reliable, and if you have an emergency, as I did this week, and two weeks ago, they will always try to fit you in. They came to repair my bathroom light yesterday at very short notice, for which, I am very grateful.
When I redecorated two years ago, they installed all my new indoor lights, and some outdoor lights, at a reasonable price. They always do a good quality job, and they never let you down.

Used to use them but no more. Asked for a price for a job that had the simplest installation possible. They quoted labour at 3 times the time it should take and when queried just said that was the price. End of. No longer on my go to sub-contractor list for my property development company. Evidently they have plenty of work on to over-price jobs to unknowledgeable people.

The 1 star review is fair.
They did not break out the job into labour and materials when asked to do so (for comparison purposes) and their initial figure even though it looked like a list was nothing more than a run through of the description of the request with a quote that looks like it was just Googled for quickness.
Apparently any level of detail would have exposed where price gouging was going on, which is why they didn't provide it when asked.

There was never a request to pretend the works was their own so it could be passed off as such and the alternative installation suggestion on the day of the site visit was to be the electrician's mate to save on labour costs.

If you are thinking of using them, insist on a detailed quote split between Labour and Materials and always get two additional quotes anyway. A lesson I have learned after over 4 decades renovating properties.

RJW came highly recommended and even though we are based in Oxfordshire, they were happy to travel down from Scotland to complete the job. Their communication was excellent and they were always available to answer any questions leading up to the job. The workmen on sight were very pleasant and approachable, always happy to talk and chat through the process. They even took time to explain to my daughter how the solar worked. They installed Solar Panels, battery, EV point as well as numerous other jobs we needed doing. I couldn't recommended RJW any higher. They'll always be first on my contact list for any future work.

RJW Electrical were amazing at helping us from the first visit they advised the jobs needed done, sent quotes and got the jobs booked in quickly and with great/quick communication. This experience continued through out the job especially when extra work and time ended up being needed. Will defiantly be using them in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone!!

I highly recommend this company. From beginning to end they were efficient, did all the jobs that I needed doing and were very reasonably priced. All work was carried out efficiently by a lovely, pleasant guy who left no mess at all. Quite a few jobs needed doing and I am so pleased with all work that was done. I won’t hesitate to call this company again if I need any more electrical work doing.

Cant praise you enough i need an outside light installed urgently as my husband is recieving end of life care . Carers need to be able to see the house and pathway. got in touch with Rob who answered almost immedatly. Said he would do the job. the following week. sure enough a very nice man called Tom turned up at 9am ( the time he said he would) did the job and was very careing and respectful to my husband explaining what he was doing a couple of hours later job completed . I will reckomend you to any one who needs work doing and will use you in the future.( I had 2 firms promise to get back to me and neither did) Gold star service thany you so so much

Good competitive quote for installation of PV and battery storage. Installation was quick and tidily done. After sales communication has been very good. I'm very pleased with the savings to my electricity bill thus far.

RJW carried out the installation of my Solar panel and Battery system along with an EV charger.
They turned up on time with a large number of different tradesmen necessary to carry out the work. I was pleased they wanted to do the installation as quickly as possible. They all set to work carrying out their various tasks at once. The work, particularly inside the house was carried out the great care and respect for our property - indeed one worker took his shirt off to wipe down the battery as a small amount of drilling dust was accidentally spilt on it while drilling holes. The workers were friendly and approachable to talk about aspects of the installation and how the system would operate. Two months on after some really heavy weather, I'm pleased that the installation withstood it and is operating flawlessly! I'm very pleased with the system and the work carried out. I have had two follow up calls From Rob to make sure everything is ok. I would recommend RJW for any Solar work you need

We were delighted to get a very quick response from this local firm. The electrician was on the doorstep the following morning (and he changed his shoes before coming in!) The price charged was very reasonable. We would certainly use them again.

Had a great experience with RJW who advised on and installed a Thermino water heater. They were so helpful/patient when I had to change dates a couple of times. They were back the next day to sort out a minor issue. Felt comfortable with them from the start and was impressed by their standard of service and professionalism.

From a recommendation who had used RJW on numerous occasions and who couldn't speak highly enough of them, and to my initial call to the office and subsequent completion of the job and paperwork I could not be more impressed.
The communication and speed at which the job was booked in and completed was superb.

Having used this firm personally, I recommended them to my scout district lead for work that needed to be done to our scout hut. And I was not disappointed. The old heating system was replaced, brighter (and more) lights in the main area and no more struggling in the dark to find equipment for a session! They even tidied up! Very pleased with the work done, very professional and friendly. Would highly recommend (and have done) to others.

Fitting of solar panels and domestic battery. The whole experience was excellent from the survey through to fitting and configuring the inverters. Communication was outstanding. The staff were friendly and professional.The work was carried out to a very high standard. I would strongly recommend this company.

Electricians arrived promptly and did a good neat and tidy job and they were friendly. Rob responded quickly to a query I had afterwards too. Would recommend.

Robert was outstanding. Timely, communicative, and really helped not just with electrics but wider advice on solar panels helping to resolve issues of some poorer previous quality workmanship. So appreciative of quality of response when had got left down elsewhere. Thank you!

Have been using this company for over 4 years now, from new fuse board to ceiling lights to plug sockets, and today a fan. All very professional and friendly guys, never leave a mess and make sure they go the extra mile to make the job perfect. Very reasonably priced, highly recommend every time

The problem I had was on changing my broadband router. The data app would not connect to the data logger dongle on the inverter. I had the company that installed my system (NOT RJW) look at this on two different occasions and could not fix the problem.
I contacted RJW and arranged a day to see if they can get it back up and running.The engineer Mathew from RJW had a look and advised he could order and fit a new dongle and Lanbox and be in touch. One week later he arrived with the new items but..said he had info that may get it running again. 5 mins later job done.
