Rough House Media delivered an excellent full-day media training workshop for a group of senior staff across the organisation. Ann and the team are highly experienced, professional and friendly, putting everyone at ease. We are quite a complex organisation, with participants coming from across different teams and with different areas of expertise, and we really appreciate how Rough House adapted the session and quickly got to grips with our key issues and messaging. Participants reported how much they learned and enjoyed the training, and it was great to see them grow in confidence over the course of the day. The pre-course briefings and follow-up feedback and resources were all thorough and extremely helpful. We would definitely recommend and hope to work with Rough House again in the future!

Was great working with Rough House Media. We ran a full day workshop with our CEO and a small group of senior staff and the workshops and scenario planning was extremely useful. Ann and the team gave pointers on the various news and digital formats and tailored feedback for each participant and everyone left feeling confident in their ability to respond to positive and negative press enquiries.

A really interactive and challenging morning. I felt there was great value in the course and I will be much more adept at handling any matters with the press. They were very clear and constructive with their feedback throughout. A very good course indeed.

An absolutely jam-packed day focused on presentation skills. The session was excellent throughout. Although it looked like it would be a long day on paper, the entirety of the agenda was focused, engaging and practical. All participants were actively involved throughout and there was no 'padding' - each activity had clear focus and added value. We were each filmed presenting and applying our newly learnt skills, which whilst daunting at first, was done in a supportive way, with specific, constructive feedback for all of us. Martine was inspiring and no-nonsense as the training lead. The day was genuinely one to remember, and it was well worth prioritising the time in a busy schedule.

Enjoyable and informative day. Our participants all came from different areas of expertise but the training was broad enough for all of them to get something from it. An extremely experienced and professional team, who provided lots of valuable feedback on presentation style and content, while also providing a friendly working environment to put us all at ease. I'm always very nervous about presenting but this really helped boost my confidence.

We had an excellent Crisis Comms training session. Following a few prep calls and emails, our trainer put together a tailored programme which covered all the aspects we'd highlighted. On the day, they led us through really useful and engaging content which has helped us establish next steps. We also received a useful resource pack post-session. Our trainer was a brilliant facilitator with extensive knowledge and experience in all things media. Their advice and tips on dealing with crisis comms were invaluable.

Rough House Media brilliantly helped us turn a corner with our media training for some of our senior spokespeople. A half-day session was delivered with authority but also with bags of empathy. An excellent understanding of the key issues we face and how to navigate them from industry experts who've been there, seen it and done it.

The course presenter had a really warm, engaging and high energy manner. She kept us going over the course of a whole day, no time to zone out! I learned a lot and would certainly recommend to others.

We've worked with Rough House Media as media trainers for over ten years and have always been very impressed by their service. People are often nervous about media appearances and interviews but the team are great at helping them overcome their fears and understand how the media works.

We had presentation skills training run for a group of 4 in my team by Rough House. Martine led the training, supported by Ann. The session was brilliant - really focused on practical advice and frameworks to improve our skills. There was a good balance of group work and 1:1 feedback. The team filmed us doing short presentations, which was genuinely very useful, and the feedback we each got was personalised, constructive and supportive. Martine was also an inspiring session lead - one of the group described the session as 'life-changing'! Would strongly recommend this training - best bang for your buck in terms of cost and time commitment that I've come across.

If you're looking for media trainers, Rough House really knows their stuff. They'll work with you to design customised training scenarios so your spokespeople can really practice using relevant key messages and talking points, something ours have found really valuable.

Ann and the team delivered us a brilliant crisis simulation exercise. We developed a scenario together and they provided interjects, role played a number of pre-defined roles and mocked up calls from journalists, social media posts, interviews, etc.
Our senior management team found it incredibly useful, and we have already put lessons learnt into place, to improve our crisis response in future. Would recommend and hope to work with the team again.
