RSL Educational lessons has been brilliant for my son. My son’s reading and comprehension have improved enormously. Robert’s resources are excellent and reasonably priced, and I really like that he focuses on building strong all-round skills rather than just “teaching to the test” - not only do I see a huge improvement, but teacher at school does too. I would very happily and highly recommend him to other parents.

RSL has been fantastic for my son—truly helpful and professional throughout. He was always there when we needed support, responding promptly to our questions with care and expertise. The reading skills and comprehension sessions were particularly valuable, and I would highly recommend them to other parents. The resources provided encouraged self-directed learning, allowing my son to complete tasks independently and learn from his mistakes by reviewing the clear, explained answers. We’re incredibly grateful for his support and kind encouragement when needed.

Robert Lomax is an exceptional and enthusiastic teacher. His passion for children’s learning really shines through, and his deep knowledge and engaging delivery make lessons truly enjoyable. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed all her sessions with him, particularly in creative writing, where she received honest, clear, and informative one-to-one feedback.

All the resources he provided—including worksheets, papers, and explanations—were detailed and thorough, giving my daughter excellent guidance. Robert also generously offered to speak with parents to provide additional support, which was incredibly helpful.

Even though my daughter might not pass her 11+, the materials and feedback have been invaluable for her learning, and I plan to continue using his resources. I am especially interested in purchasing his comprehension books, as they will further support her English skills.

There are many 11+ resources out there and they are certainly not all equal. We found the RSL Comprehension books the gold standard pitching the difficulty level at a very high standard with helpful explanation on marks scoring. We also signed up for the Lifeline subscription and received constructive feedback on our son's creative writing week by week. My son received an offer from a London grammar school this week and I can certainly attribute part of the success to the RSL materials. A big thank you to Robert and the incredibly offerings on your website!

Like a having personal tutor on call!

Signing up for 11+ lifeline was like having a personal tutor. Robert has provided detailed, constructive feedbacks on each sentences in the creative writings my daughter submitted for nearly 1 year! Marking of creative writing arrives with a mini video clip for each points required improvement. It was captivating and very effective.

Without the books, and subscription, my daughter would not have passed 11+ for both grammar and independent schools in London.

I recommend RSL to anyone whose children are in state primary schools as this allows you to enjoy what Prep School prepares for their pupils. ( Simply, state schools don't teach creative writings in depth as a part of curriculum.

Incredibly useful service. My daughter particularly benefitted from the marking feedback. This was very insightful and constructive and led to marked progress in her writing skills. I really liked the way Mr Lomax gives the feedback with a mix of audio and video recordings and colour coding the text, this make his feedback all the more memorable. Also the weekly maths/English questions with detailed answered were excellent.

I would recommend this service to anyone wanting to help improve their child's writing, comprehension/ maths skills.

I so much love RSL materials because it helped my daughter a lot especially in creative writing. It is well structured and the answers always filled with lots of information.

Robert produces some excellent material and makes them available at very reasonable prices. I also liked the fact that he does not focus on any one particular test and thus encourages a more holistic way to prepare for 11+ tests, which I believe will serve the students well when they go into secondary school anyway. What I find most helpful is his guidance on answering reading comprehension questions and creative writing topics, as most others either focus on Maths or just offer sub par guidance. My son has solely relied on Robert’s material thus far, both his books and the 11plus lifeline subscription. Regardless of the test outcome, I believe me my son has benefited significantly from Robert’s material and would feel more confident when starting secondary.

I was using RSL materials for last 3 months and its really helped my child in improving her level . Papers have detailed answers are helpful in understanding.

My daughter has made incredible strides using Mr Lomax's materials. Initially, her English comprehension accuracy was around 60%, but the detailed and logical explanations helped her improve dramatically. Through diligent study and reflection on these explanations, she now consistently scores over 95% on advanced comprehension papers. The self-marking and reflection process promoted by these resources has proven to be far more effective than costly tutoring sessions. We are extremely satisfied and grateful for the outstanding and affordable resources provided.

RSL has been a great help for my son in preparing for his Eleven plus exams. We went for the Silver subscription. The papers that we used were a good mix of standard, difficult and challenging questions. Robert not only gives the answers, but also detailed explanations. These were extremely useful for me as a parent while reviewing my son's work and really appreciated.

Firstly, Robert is very approachable and the papers he provides are of varied depth, range of levels: beginner to advance and with answers of greater depth, which has been incredibly helpful for us in preparing my daughter for 11 plus.

I will highly recommend RSL resources to anyone on the 11 plus journey, especially for parents who are proactively involved ( those marking kids work at home etc) in getting their kids prepared.

We bought the Creative Writing book and when searching something, stumbled upon Robert’s videos. There was an offer to send a piece of writing which Robert would mark for free and provide detailed feedback. We tried it and were very impressed.

At this stage, my son was preparing for St Olaves’ Grammar schools’s stage two exam. Hence, we subscribed to the Platinum service which was a massive help towards preparing for the stage two exam. As a result we got access to a range of challenging resources as well as 60 minutes’ worth of marking by Robert. The comprehension papers were very challenging which suited us and we sent some of the written answers to be marked by Robert. He is strict and thorough. His feedback is very detailed and is easy for a child to understand.

We used the service for about 2 months and I am happy to say that my son got into to our preferred school. I highly recommend RSL Educational.

11Plus Lifeline is very simple to use. We opted for Platinum membership and we bought the 11+ RLS books – both of which I highly recommend. All these educational materials are of high standard, very varied and the explanations are detailed and easy to understand.

Robert excels in being professional, reliable, organised and approachable.
What I liked the most was that he knew my son’s strength and weakness in no time. The feedback was personalised, with praises and clarifications to areas that needed to be improve. At times, I had the feeling that Robert was not only my son’s tutor, but his friend.

As a result, I am very confident that apart from getting an offer from Colchester Royal Grammar School, my son will continue to do well.

We were subscribed to RLS services just over a year including check your creative writing service (which I highly recommend).
Robert Lomax is not only a knowledgeable and experienced teacher he is also humorous, kind and warm human being which helps a lot during the tough process of exam preparation. He made us laugh with his comments and helped to improve giving tips and valuable advice.
As as result we got quite a few offers from the top London schools. I can’t recommend Robert enough. Do not think twice - subscribe.

I am really happy with RSL Educational service! My daughter learns a lots through the papers each week. The mark scheme is really helpful. It does not just give the answers but also encourages her to find out how to score the most marks in their possible way. In particular, Robert is really strong in the marking service. His advice is very sincere and honest but useful. She improves a lot.

The lifeline resources - papers , assignments and you tube videos are friendly, affordable and informative. They are very cleverly drafted for every learner . My daughter loved the books as well. A great way to build knowledge . I would highly recommend Robert’s ingenious resources - a must buy !
