Great prices - Greater customer service

First - it's always tricky making decision based on reviews. If they're all positive it seems sketchy. If there are some good and some bad you wonder why. If they're all bad, well that's usually just bad.

There are lot of different places to buy sabers, so when I researched Saberbay I came across these trustpilot reviews as well as some reddit discussions and other saber community feedback. The vast majority were positive so I decided to try out Saberbay.

I found prices for TXQ Snv4Pro products to be about the best I could find. That's a plus.

Checkout and shipping went as expected, and items arrived within 2-4 days which is definitely faster than other places I'd purchased from before.

I've placed 2 or 3 orders with Saberbay and more than 30 items.

If you've used lightsabers before (mine have all been TXQ) you know that they're pretty fun, pretty awesome, and mostly durable. If you're dueling and dropping them they'll hold up well but probably not flawlessly forever. Out of my 30+ items, I had some trouble with 2.

First, I had a SNV4pro core stop powering on or responding at all after it hit the ground. I emailed Shane about it and told him what happened as well as all the troubleshooting steps I'd gone trough. He agreed that based on what I'd tried it was probably not worth troubleshooting further, and immediately sent me a new core, and with some upgraded parts. Good to go.

Next, I had a pixelblade the intermittently would short out the hilt. Again I emailed Shane and he helped me with some additional troubleshooting steps. I tried these, and sent some videos of the behavior, and he sent a shipping label so he could take a look at it himself. He then tried to replicate the problem but could not (intermittent problems are the worst). He sent me videos back of him running through all the behaviors that were causing issues for me, but nothing he could do caused the problem. So, he sent it back to me to test again.

It worked for me for a few minutes, then didn't. While neither I nor Shane could explain this (and we'd both spent significant time looking at it), he graciously made a generous refund to make it right.

Through the entire process of troubleshooting these two items, as well as other questions I had, Shane was extremely helpful, patient, and kind in our communication. I felt very appreciated as a customer and it was clear he wanted me to have a good experience. He clearly likes lightsabers and wants his customers to as well.

I have purchased from a few other sites that came recommended from some of the reddit discussions, and they were pretty good too. However, when I had problems - their solutions were a little less gracious and a little more "yeah sometimes these things break, you can buy another if you'd like" which is fine and reasonable, but I found Shane to be much more invested in making sure I was taken care of.

I just got into lightsabers in 2025, and have purchased from 4 or 5 vendors. While all have been satisfactory, I've found Shane and Saberbay to be a cut above the rest and where I will always go first when making my next purchase.

A valued saber supply company

Ships promptly. Will answer what questions he can. Good rewards program (Although I keep getting shuffled back into the lowest tier with every iteration change!). Very responsible replacement offerings and quick to make things right.

Awesomness

I have purchased many parts from this company and has always been a positive one. He will communicate with you with any info on your product delivery. Very responsible and ALL of his products are EXCELLENT! I am so happy that he is staying in business. He is one of my go to supplier.

Excellent resource for parts

Excellent resource for parts when building custom hilts, which is most of what I do, but I also enjoy a lot of the hilt runs as they have been really well done.

The Kirak hilt is one of my favorites and deserves its place on my display as it's just so beautiful and we'll made.

Saberbay is a company I trust for quality hilts and install parts

I have been doing business with Saberbay for almost two years: I have purchased 16 hilts (including pre-orders) and a significant volume of install parts. Saberbay is the best when it comes to transparency--you always know who designed and manufactured the sabers you buy from them. I'm currently working with Shane to get my Sentry saber powder coated--and he has been fantastic to work with--listening to my requested and even suggested improvements. Saberbay is my most trusted vendor in this space. Thank you.

Shane is top-notch person to deal with

Not sure what these other reviews are about, but I have had nothing but great experiences from Saberbay. I’ve been shopping there for years now, and Shane is always quick and responsive to answer, and always kind and courteous. Highly recommend this shop!!

Great seller!

I've purchased from Saberbay multiple times. Got an Intromnia, Petro, and Valor from them, and the parts are just as high-quality as Saber Armory and The Custom Saber Shop. The hilts are machined well and the customer service is great.

I asked the owner for help with his products and install tips on my first install, and he answered my questions but said that he doesn't usually provide tips. Fair enough, I thought. The next day, I got an email from him with a long paragraph about his typical install procedures. To me, this clearly shows a guy going above and beyond for his customers.

From our interactions online, the owner admits that he's got some personal flaws. But who doesn't? There's a lot of unjustified hate against the guy from saber groups like the Universal Lightsaber Community on Facebook, where the name Saberbay isn't even allowed to be uttered. Some past drama, no clue what it's about because it's all hushed up, but it's pretty clear when you see everything going on that most of the haters are being extraordinarily immature and have never bought from this vendor.

Ignore the bad reviews and buy! They take damn good care of their customers.

My Go-to for Saber Parts and Blades

Saberbay is my go-to for most of my saber parts, and the Imp hilt I purchased and installed is one of my favorite sabers. And the blade kits (threaded tips!) are the absolute best I have found and the only ones I use anymore. Lightning-fast shipping, support after the purchase, and Shane's expertise makes it my number one choice for saber supplies.

Owner has some serious mental issues

I have spent a fair amount with Shane/the Saberbay over the last couple years, knowing he is not very well liked by many. Luckily I had never had to have a conversation with him prior but the moment I had an issue with a rather expensive item that obviously wasn't checked before shipping, he quite literally lost his mind at me and became quite rude and abusive. Didn't really care to resolve the issue that shouldn't have been there in the first place and insisted that if I bought some tools out of my own money I could fix the problem with his product myself. Inlight of his recent actions within the community, I felt it is important to let people know how unstable this person and company are. I'm glad to here he will be shutting down soon. No sense of professionalism and will always blame everyone but himself.

Products = Good, Owner = ???

The Saberbay owner definitely seems a bit standoffish, if nothing else.

I made several purchases over the past few years, only twice needing to communicate with him about small, low-priority questions I had. It sounds silly but the connotation in his responses feels... begrudging at times?

Compared to other vendors and sellers who are eager to tell you everything about your question, Saberbay comes across as somewhat awkward and blunt in their messages.

As a customer, it does not feel great when I dread having to ask for help, as message chains shift between sometimes neutral and sometimes bitter, as though the owner would rather not be replying to my message.

For what it's worth, the store itself sells some otherwise hard-to-find goods and services.

As you see from other reviews, most of the bad experiences come from interacting with the owner.

WATCH YOUR MONEY WITH THIS SABER COMPANY

Have had multiple conversation with the owner and he was absolutely ignorant. If I'm going to ask questions about his
product, I don't expect responses like,
That's it's man. And if I make it public
comment on Facebook and he does not like it, it just gets deleted. He's right along side with DX SABERS!!
Seriously bad customer service considering how many other saber vendors are out there.

I must agree with AS's "Horrible…

I must agree with AS's "Horrible Experience". I talk to this guy on his Etsy shop asking him about saber hilts he sold & if the come with a chassis or if I could buy one. He told me that he doesn't sell chassis & that he was pretty sure it didn't say anything about chassis in the description. What a rude response! He then told me to look at the site (didn't give me link) & that I could pay for an install, but not the chassis for the hilt I wanted. That makes no sense! Just sounds like he wanted more money!!!
Hilt was under $400 but over $1000 with install at the cheapest! Feel sorry for those that go to places like this first...

My Horrible Experience

So here is my experience with SaberBay. I have purchased a lot from this site, that is to say up until today. I have never needed assistance with any of the product before, which is why I had been a repeat customer. That all came to an end the day I needed help on a soundboard that I purchased. I have built and installed tens of dozens of custom neopixel sabers and have used this particular board on many occasion. This particular board had an issue with the SD card, so I utilized their Customer Chat to ask what my options were. the reply I got back was to contact the manufacturer of the board or to check a facebook forum which I do not have access to because I refuse to have a FB account. I was taken back by the total disregard of this merchant for a paying customer not to mention a returning one, of multiple times at that. I explained to him that that I don't have access to the forum and his general brushing me aside was not an acceptable response, to which he started berating me and told me to watch my attitude and that he's not responsible if things he sells works. I was blown away at this point, the more I conversed with this person the more he reminded me of the owner of DXsabers. He seems to not care about you once he has your money. He has ZERO people skill or enough business sense to know not to belittle a paying customer. fast forward a few months to my next purchase, which was a sizable one, that included no electrics this time and was done as a "second chance" attempt just incase the last issue was a fluke, like maybe he had a bad day or something. The Item that I was interested in was on back order, I again sent in a chat and asked when they would be available. He replied that he didn't know but they will be available soon. So I asked if and when they were available, is there anyway I can be notified? He responded he would send out a notice on FB, I then replied, I unfortunately don't use FB, is there another option? His response came across as though I was an annoyance to him. He responded, " LIKE I TOLD YOU BEFORE, I'LL SEND OUT A NOTICE ON FB". I was again thrown by this persons nasty communication skill. but I disregarded it and continued to make a purchase anyway because he is offering a 10% discount for the interim June 6th through the 12th. As I'm making my purchase on the 9th, I select PayPal ,which brings me right to the PayPal website. At no point is there a spot to enter a coupon or discount code before or after the purchase. Now that my purchase was made, and no discount was applied, I once more attempted to contact this merchant about the discrepancy. I was informed that I was offered several opportunities to enter in the code. I replied that I am using an iOS device, and I have screenshots showing my transaction, and there was no place to enter in a code. After accusing me of trying to enter in a invalid code, to which I replied I cant enter in any code all whether it is valid or not, and I can provide screenshots of what I am presented with. He once again accused me of having a hostile attitude with him. Is this guy kidding me or something? I just spent $650 with this cuck and he has the nerve to instigate another altercation? He goes on to tell me that because he is busy he doesn't have the time to "hold someone's hand though checkout". That was the straw that broke the camels back, at this point I had enough of his demeaner, to which I replied my dissatisfaction of his treatment of a paying customer. He then flat out called me an A88HOLE and told me not to make any future purchases with his store. I retorted what he could then do with himself and demanded he cancel my order and refund my payment.
I cannot advise purchasing from this vender at this point. You do so at your own risk.
