Really poor service
Really poor service. I have been trying to get in touch for days and no answer to any emails or calls. Not impressed, avoid these at all costs.
Please do not use them they don’t…
Please do not use them they don’t deserve any stars but l can not give none since my doors and windows been done by them door handle was missing scaffolding still not removed yet very hard to get answer from them on the phone please avoid them .
Terrible service!
Do not use this company! Do not trust what their salesman since the final decision was made by their head office. The head office's phone was difficult to go through. It took so long to get their response. Their surveyors came three times. Every time find some excuses on refusing install the door for my house. Today had called them to cancel the booking and got the refund of deposit. I was told it would take up to 21 working days. I will list the result here to see what will finally happen to the £150.
Safeglaze has gone bust..........!!!!!!!!!!!
After finding out the company had gone under, I am not surprised the comments are so bad.
If you have orders with this lot get it cancelled tomorrow.
I have spoken to a representative who came to my house last week to place the order and he said we had a lucky escape.
Do not use these cowboys
Do not use these cowboys! Paid a £150 deposit for new door, had surveyor round and then a call to say they couldn't do it unless we paid more. We cancelled but one month later despite many phone calls and promises, have yet to see our money back. They are basically thieves.
Great workmanship
A compete waste of time and effort
What a waste of time my dealings with Safeglaze have been. I rushed home from work on a Friday night to spend about 2 hours being sold windows. I had had a quote from another company which I was happy with but they couldnt do the job for 3 months. Initially the salesman from Safeglaze qouted more than double but after 'cutting the c**p' agreed to match and I paid the deposit by card that night. I took 2 hours off work for the survey which was done. Contracts had been signed, deposit paid so I was just waiting for my new windows. Then I got a phone call from a guy saying that they don't make the colour I wanted anymore so were cancelling my order. They blamed the salesman who didn't 'know his job' but then neither did the surveyor as his drawings included the colour. I was annoyed and said I wasnt interested in the reasons why this had gone wrong and the guy hung up on me. Ten minutes later I got another call saying I hadnt been in touch. By this point I was very irritated and told the second guy that I had just had a call cancelling my order - he said someone would call back in 10 minutes. They didn't so I phoned to see if I was getting the windows or not. No definitely cancelled and when I said that they didn;t know what they were doing the guy hung up again. By this point I was livid. To add insult to injury my refund was sent by cheque so yet more time wasted going into the bank to pay it in. Not even an apology and totally rude - do not use. Even worse feel like an idiot to go back to first company who now cant do the job until after Christmas.
Asked for a quote (no obligation)
Asked for a quote (no obligation), mistake No1 the salesman turned up late, it was like somethings from the 80s, once he realised he wasn't getting the order that day, after ringing his boss etc he stormed out. An hour after he left the calls started from the salesman, the area manager and the head office this went on for a week. Having reviewed the quotes they came out top so reluctantly we placed the order, survey was done happy days ... or so I thought.
After nearly two weeks I rang them and asked for an installation day two weeks away, ok I could live with that, they stated we needed scaffolding to the side of the house so I asked when we're they coming so we can be in? They said we didn't need to be in? Long story short luckily we were available to be home 24 and 48hrs before the installation only to find first attempt they didn't have the right kit, so they would be back again we HAD to be in to let them into the garden. I mentioned that didn't they need to put scaffolding over the conservatory they said no.
Next day the installation gang turned up and couldn't fit the window above the conservatory because .. you guessed it no scaffolding.
To infuriate me more, they damaged the plaster in a window recess knocking chunks out of it and a 18 inch crack down the side. The front door had hinge covers missing and the door was sticky to open, all the window recesses for the locks was full of swarf.
So next day another gang turned up to remove the scaffolding on the side and put scaffolding up over the conservatory, the fitter turned up on his own to put one of the largest Windows in 4 1/2 hours later, mentioned the damage and the door, he threw plaster at the damage said he had adjusted the door and legged it.
3 weeks on the front door has to be shoulder charged to open and is getting harder and harder to open and the scaffolding is still up.
Rang them after going around the houses as the number and option on the internet and paperwork is no longer used. Given me two weeks before someone can come out to fix the front door, no time they will arrive etc hopeless and someone will ring me about the scaffolding. The concern is the expensive compositie door and seals are now damaged and I am worried that at some point we won't be able to use the front door at all. All in all in hindsight I should have paid more for a proper company and installation, still not received the insurance policy for the window and door. Concerns now are the windows fitted correctly and will they last????
UPDATE: we managed to get one of the installers out to fix the door, I was at work. He adjusted the door so it will open great. Came home and I'm no expert the door is tight against the hinges with a gap on the opposite side you can get your finger in and now we have a draft!! I'm getting quite angry at the blatant incompetence by their "professional installers". The day before I received a very obnoxious phone call from a scaffolding company to take ours down, I was messing them around by not being in, I said when were you going to tell me you were coming, luckily I was 10mins away so the waited begrudgingly.
UPDATE 30 OCTOBER 18
I received an unsolicited call by Safestyle UK offering a promotion, I have never given my telephone number to Safestyle UK, they stated I had asked for a quote a couple of months ago (I did from safeglaze uk) but the telephone number is the same telephone number of the Safeglaze number in Nottingham!!
I have had the front door checked by an independent company the long and short of it an £800 door held on £5 hinges that don't adjust and during the install they have pulled the frame out of shape which is impossible to cure without removal and a new frame.... livid is an understatement.
Just looking through a lot of recent…
Just looking through a lot of recent reviews on this company and I'm amazed that they are down has 4 star overall because the number of people who have only given them 1 star is amazing. I would like to see trust pilot give us an update over the past year. Once again i would advise you to read all recent reviews on this company before committing. I must also say i cannot comment on any work they have carried out because we didn't get that far but my problems have all been down to customer service. Please be weary about paying any deposits because if you have to cancel because they up the amount you have to pay you will have big problems getting a refund.
Rob-dogs - Don't touch with a barge pole
I am writing this review still fuming after a telephone call this morning from SafeGlaze HQ telling me the salesman had under sold the two PVC doors we agreed to buy a couple of weeks ago by £400!!. We had the surveyor come and carry out the survey and we paid £150, all was well and no issues were found and it was to be a straight forward installation. We have also tried to be fobbed of with the excuse that there must have been something wrong with the survey which has caused the price to increase. We know this was a load of rubbish. Remains to be seen if our £150 goes back in to our account.
Warning to others........don't touch these cowboys with a barge pole!!!
Con Artist
Had a window and door fitted, they fitted wrong door and offered £150 if I accepted the door, which I did in good faith ,after several phone calls surprise surprise no cheque bunch of liars and con artists, after reading several reviews this seems to be standard practice,i strongly advise any one buying from these con artists do not pay or sign anything unless you are totally satisfied.ps been waiting 5 weeks for a cheque which I was told would be on my dooormat the following Monday
Do not use this company
I am not usually one to complain - however I feel people should be warned about his company. I was due to have 4 windows and a new composite front door installed by Safe Glaze UK. It was agreed back in July 2018 that this work would be completed by 12/09/2018.
However, I have had the following problems:
1) The installation date was changed on the day due to the products not being delivered in time. I had booked time off work in order for this work to be done.
2) On 13/09/2018 one of the windows was damaged in transit and installed with a crack in it. I was verbally informed this would be rectified within 3 working days. I had to contact Safe Glaze UK repeatedly to chase this up and it took 4 weeks for this to be done.
3) The frame around the door was not correctly installed and has since started to come away from both the interior and exterior wall.
4) The door locking mechanism is broken, leaving my house in an unsafe condition.
5) The alarm system had fallen off the door due to poor installation.
6) Significant damage was also caused to the walls/period feature window sill in the upstairs bedroom. This is something that I was informed when making my purchase would not be an issue and that the period features would remain intact.
7) The overall finish of the windows was substandard and has resulted in condensation issues.
8) After complaining over a period of 3 weeks, someone from Safe Glaze UK came out to the property to conduct a survey of the work on 11/10/2018. I was verbally advised that the work was in fact substandard and all 4 windows and the front door would need to be completely re-done.
10) On 11/10/2018 it was agreed, and the work was booked to be completed on 20/10/2018.
11) Upon chasing confirmation of the above I was informed on 19/10/2018 that the work would not be completed on the agreed date, again due to products not being delivered in time.
I am very disappointed with the service I have received to date. I only wish I could upload photos so people can see the poor standard of work. Most frustrating of all is the poor communication and the fact that I have had to be chase Safe Glaze UK at every stage to rectify the work, which still has not been completed. I feel that I have been significantly inconvenienced and I would not recommend this company to anyone wishing to get their windows/door done.
Wonderful job
Just had all my windows, doors and patio doors replaced by Safe Glaze Uk. Excellent service throughout and the fitting team were superb. Chris, Danny and their colleague laboured non stop and fitted the whole house in 10 hours, including exchanging a faulty hinge on one of the new windows, then they cleaned up and left the place immaculate.
Excellent A*** Install
I had all my windows (8) and two doors installed by Marc Utley and Steve Bell at SafeGlaze now know has NeoGalze.
They came within the time frame that was given to us. They worked promptly and didnt stop for breaks. The two fitters did a professional job. They spoke to me throughout the day telling me what they had done and even pointing out to me places where they needed to do some filling due to the state of the stone work around the top front windows after the old ones where removed, which were done carefully. Inguess thats what happens with a house thats built in the 1920's. The first day they worked up till 8pm to try and finish the job within one day but unfortunatley they could not so they said they would be back the day after and given me time as when they would be here which they kept to. The two fitters are a credit to Safegalze.
The staff at Safeglaze kept me informed with everything leading up to the install (Pre-Installation Team) and also the aftercare has been second to none.
I would recommend Safeglaze to any of my family and friends.
Recently SafeGlaze as gone into liquidation. As one if there customers and had the windows and doors fitted before they went under. If the business was still up and running I would still recommend them to my family and friends.
Terrible service here in Lincolnshire
Terrible service here in Lincolnshire, if I could give zero stars I would, very quick to pocket the £4000 on the day but when a little hinge needs replacing it takes 3 months, numerous phone calls, misinformation and incompetent staff. Never will we order or recommend again.
Shocking to get deposit refund from after cancelling!
I ordered a new front door, felt pressured into paying the £150 deposit there and then, paid by credit card as knew this would give me extra security.
Next day changed my mind and cancelled within my consumer rights in wirting. one letter recorded and another just proof of postage.
They acknowledged receipt and called to convince me to change my mind and said refund would be done instantly. Needless to say that months later I am still waiting for my deposit refund, despite me making numerous phones calls all of which they promissed to refund me and email confirmation. I can imagine I will be waiting some months more for my credit card company resolve.
2 doors and 13 windows in 11 hrs!!!!
I had my entire house, 2 doors and 13 windows installed by Danny & Chris’s team at SafeGlaze/ NeoGlaze in approx 11 hours.
I was concerned that such a big job in such a small space of time would result in chaos and a lack of quality. I was wrong! I have flawless windows and doors.
The team were fast, efficient, professional and most of all honest and open with me through out.
Top lads! Top install! Keep up the good work.
AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!
AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!
The communication within this company is non existent, from surveryencing dates to installation things were wrong. Aftercare does not exist. We had windows fitted on 05/10/18. Fitter turned up at 2.30 alone despite being told that they would be with us by 10am. Fitter told us that his partner had gone home so he was working alone, I questioned if he was able to install alone due to the size of the windows and if there would be enough time to install the windows before it went dark he told me there was and that he had somebody coming to help him. This turned out to be a friend who didn't even work for safeglaze. The windows were finally finished in the dark at 7.15pm. As the fitter was leaving he commented that somebody would need to return with storm caps for the sills as they weren't on his van.
We had to check the windows in the dark so couldn't see the gouges to the pvc frames, the peice of internal beading that had fallen down within the sealed unit, the scratches/ marks on the glass and exposed lintle where the old frames had been ripped out and the new ones not sealed in properly until the next morning. The upstairs window was left covered in silicone making it difficult for us to reach in order to clean and the amount of rubbish left in the street was a disgrace. To add to the poor experience, as the fitter was leaving somebody from Safeglaze arrived which we thought was there to check the installation but turned out Safeglaze had sent a rep to try and sell us additional products! Err surely if we wanted other products we would have ordered at the same time that we ordered the windows and had fitted all together??? We called to raise our concerns and were told they would replace the damaged panes of glass. I understand that there is a wait for the glass to be made/cut to size but almost two weeks later the faults are still awaiting to be fixed, there is a very loud whistling noise when its windy, and trying to get an answer of when the snagging will be completed is impossible. We have been calling everyday for 3 days and are fobbed off with somebody saying they will find out and call back which they don't. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!!
Full of scuffs, scratches and dints !
Windows fitted look lovely from a distance away, when you cant see the scratched frames, dents in the frames, scuffs and scratches on the windows. Absolutely appalling. Definitely would not recommend this company, customer service very poor too.
