Subject: Complaint: False Delivery Confirmation + No Explanation - Parcel H048SA0098331849
Dear Royal Mail Customer Service,
On Monday 27 July 2026 your Courier Officer marked my parcel H048SA0098331849 as "delivered" when it had not been.
I requested proof of delivery, it became clear the officer had lied as blank proof of delivery was sent to me. I followed it up with phone call and emails and it took 10 days for my parcel to be retrieved and sent to me 03 August 2026.
This is dishonesty and a breach of trust.
Secondly, since the parcel has now been retrieved, I expected Royal Mail to contact me, explain what happened, and offer a sincere apology. I have received neither.
I am extremely disappointed in this service failure and the lack of accountability. This is why I have rated your service as zero.
I expect:
1. A full explanation of what happened
2. A formal written apology
3. Confirmation of what steps Royal Mail is taking to prevent this with this officer

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review.
We are sorry that your order took longer than expected to be delivered.
Your order was placed on 22 July and was dispatched from our warehouse with Royal Mail on 23 July, the next working day. According to the Royal Mail tracking information, delivery was attempted on 25 July and again on 27 July. The parcel was then made available for redelivery or collection until a redelivery request was received, following which it was successfully delivered on 3 August.
While we appreciate that this delay was frustrating, the concerns described in your review relate to Royal Mail's handling of the parcel after it had left our warehouse. As these events occurred whilst the parcel was in the courier's possession, we were unfortunately unable to influence the delivery process.
We also note that we did not receive any contact from you regarding your delivery. Had we been made aware of the issue, we would have been happy to liaise with Royal Mail on your behalf in an effort to assist.
Nevertheless, we are pleased that your order has now been successfully delivered and are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations.
