Great experience overall! Scheduling was very flexible, with plenty of available time slots to choose from. I also liked that I could study and complete the test at home beforehand. The instructions for getting to and entering the venue were very clear, which was helpful since I came by myself and no one was around when I arrived. The equipment worked well, and the computer-guided training clearly showed what I was doing right and what I needed to improve. Everything went smoothly, I finished earlier than expected, and I received my certificate right away. Very convenient and efficient!

The Customer Service Staff are very attentive and available. If the phone call drops for any reason they call you immediately back. They answer your after hours messages as well. The experience was well explained and all they listed was found as they said it would be.

Very comfortable setting for the class, easy to understand and get through.

I was extremely disappointed with this CPR/First Aid training. Safety concerns, as well as both the quality and inconsistency of the instruction for the hands-on portion, made this a very frustrating experience.
First, there are significant safety issues with the setup. I have taken this course before at the Los Gatos location and was alone at a location with a virtual instructor who was 1:1 with me while I demonstrated my skills. Imagine my surprise this time when, after I entered a small locked room, a man walked in behind me and the LOCKED door slammed shut behind him.
The room is on the second floor of a quiet building. The hallway was dark, with no lights on, and felt isolated. You enter a code to access the room, and the room has no windows. I had NO advance notice that I would be placed in this small, LOCKED, windowless room with another person.
This was a serious safety concern and placed me in an extremely uncomfortable position. What makes this particularly egregious is that Safety Seminars repeatedly leads with the fact that it is a women-owned business. It is concerning that a company that so prominently emphasizes being women-owned would put a woman in this situation without advance notice or consideration for her safety and comfort. What about women who have religious beliefs that don't allow them to be alone in a room with a man? Participants should at least be informed beforehand that they will be sharing a small, locked, windowless room with another person.
The quality of the hands-on skills portion was also extremely disappointing. My 14 year old son was scheduled for his skills evaluation just after me. The monitoring setup did not allow for meaningful 1:1 observation, evaluation, or correction of skills. For my son's session, one person monitored through a phone camera while simultaneously monitoring multiple people at other locations. During my session, the instructor was monitoring through a Ring camera, also while monitoring multiple people elsewhere. This is not equivalent to an instructor closely watching one participant perform skills and providing individualized corrections.
The training itself was also inconsistent. We are required to complete the online modules before the hands-on portion, yet I was made to watch the same modules again during my session. My son's CPR certification took approximately one hour and covered all required material, including the additional opioid portion, which felt rushed. My session lasted approximately 1.5 hours and still FAILED TO INCLUDE CHOKING—a major component of CPR/First Aid training.
Overall, I left feeling that the experience was more about completing a certification requirement than ensuring participants were actually prepared to respond in an emergency. Given the safety concerns, lack of meaningful 1:1 skills assessment, and inconsistencies in the instruction, I would not use Safety Seminars again and cannot recommend them.
I called Safety Seminars immediately that day, ask to speak with a manager who assured me someone would call me back. I have yet to hear from anyone. I am disappointed that my concerns were not addressed directly before I felt the need to share my experience publicly. I suspect they may respond to this review, but given that my direct concern was never followed up on, I would view a public response as more “for show” rather than a genuine effort to address valid objective concerns.

Class was good although the zoom teaching and not in person make it less engaging and corrections can’t be made on the spot. It’s like having a personal trainer but virtual. More value would be in person.

Very efficient process for certification. Great directions for everything (parking, entering the building, etc). Everything was clean and well maintained.

The instructor, Malia, was really helpful, patient, & kind. She was very thorough in making sure we felt confident in giving first aid treatment.

Straight forward. Answers my calls 100% of the time. Never avoid to answer questions. Great company and well known/respected for a reason!

The experience was a bit surprising because I was used to class activities but with the guidance of the staff, I was able to do the skills and pretty easy when I got used to it. Will use this method again to renew my BLS for sure.

Very convenient. You can learn at your own pace. I finished materials through internet in about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Then went on the site for the actual which took me less than 30 minutes. It’s close to home so I would use this company again if I have to renew in 2 years.

Easy and convenient , I was able to get my stuff done all in one day . The only thing I would have to deduct a star for is the pricing . Alot of money for us to be doing the majority of work ourselves. But overall it was good experience and I’d use them again.

I had a fantastic experience with “Safety Training Seminars.” The team was highly cooperative and assistive, responding quickly to my calls—even after working hours. The training was engaging and informative. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is interested in BLS / CPR certification. you won’t be disappointed! The best part was that I didn’t have to speak to a computer when I called; a friendly human was always there to assist me.

Easy to follow instructions from the moment of purchase. Receiving the program may take a day but if you call the number they provide they’ll speed up the process and you’ll recieve the online course almost instantly. Easy to follow lessons with useful practice/scenarios/videos. When you take the in person portion the computer guides you through everything and you can practice on both the infant and adult minikin. Overall very simple and passed relatively easily. Highly recommend. Also use the discount code if available I missed that.
