I have been in the medical field, as a nurse, for decades. I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. Let me introduce myself. My name is Peninah Wood. I am 71 years young. Yes, you read that correctly. So, what brings a 71-year-old to Rockwell? What makes a 71-year-old walk away from a six-figure career as an Executive Director in sub-acute care to become a student at Rockwell? It was the ugly. This is something that I have wanted to do for a long time. But life happens. My oldest son was in a motorcycle accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury. I took care of him until he passed away. Now is the time. My area of expertise and passion is neurodegenerative diseases and traumatic brain injuries. During my career and taking care of my son, I realized that our system of conventional medicine is broken. I needed to make a difference, and I could not do that from within that system. So, here I am, and I cannot tell you how excited I am to be here. All of you who may be undecided about joining Rockwell, don't be. There is a way to make a difference, and Rockwell will help you do it. The content of their education is excellent, and their staff is superb. So take your passion and come join us. Rockwell built their program to be clear, accessible, and easy to follow. While there’s a lot of depth and information to absorb, they’ve designed the content in a way that makes holistic medicine practical and understandable. Last year I did some in-depth research on a variety of Functional Nutrition programs and was torn between Rockwell and another online program. I ended up choosing the other one that cost TWICE as much as Rockwell…and regretted it. After finishing their confusing and somewhat boring program, I realized that I could either spend thousands more to become certified through them or I could spend that same money on a Rockwell Holistic Doctorate program AND have access to ALL of their offerings AND receive a minor certification as well. No-brainer. I took the leap.

When I first enrolled at Rockwell, the programs were interesting but felt a little piecemeal, so I was excited when I learned that the entire school was getting an overhaul! I had already finished my Doctorate in Functional Medicine when the new program launched so I’m going through it again and it is EXACTLY what I was looking for from the very beginning!

For funsies (and to apply towards my career as a Licensed Esthetician) I have been studying the new Doctorate in Natural Medicine program
as well and LOVING it! I am also a Certified Yoga Instructor and Sound Healer and will be undergoing the Doctorate in Spiritual Medicine soon as well. It looks fantastic!!

Still awaiting my preferred minor program to become available but it’s worth the wait and there is SO much to freely explore and apply in the meantime.

One of the best attributes of this course for me is being able to study on my time line around my schedule. This has help tremendously with my ADHD and taken all stress out of getting my certificate. I have learned so much on this course study. My husband and I both battle with thyroid disease and we are now reversing our issues, we are already dropping our dose of levothyroxine per regular physician care. We have switched to dessicated thyroid and feel so much better. Iodine has made a huge impact in our daily lives. My 80 year old Mother who has fish scale disease has seen her scales fall off of her legs. This has never happened in her 80 years. My daughter who we knew had hypo thyroid, however according to others had normal labs, even though nodules where present and presented with all symptoms is now being able to enjoy ever day life. If I stopped with just my certificate in Iodine Practice Consulting, my time at Rockwell has been well spent and changed our lives from sickness to health. This course attributes are an affordable education pacted with tons of knowledge witb no time wasted.

This school has only been in existence (filed documents in the state of Florida) since September, 2024 and only went live with their courses in April 2025. The phone number comes back to a talent agency in Indiana. While I hope they are legit, I'm guessing they will putting a bad name to real schools that follow the rules.

7/8/25 I am unsure of what you mean by your recent comment. You stated that you were issuing degrees before you were even a registered business before even 2020. I don't know how that is possible. BU
T not all consumers are going to be satisfied by what you offer and perhaps an unhappy review isn't your biggest problem. My point is that a degree is a big deal for most and I am hoping your track record will speak for itself. One of your ads even offered licensure (on Facebook). You cannot be licensed by your school - that is false - that is done by each state, individually.

As an online school they were there when I needed help with a question and the answer was always genuine. The curriculum was well set up and easy to follow. I would recommend this school to anybody seeking a holistic degree.

I really like the format of the Rockwell Holistic Medicine programs. You work at your own pace and the material really prepares you for the specialization of your choosing.

Rockwell takes a very scientific approach, yet somehow, they make it understandable and enjoyable. The content is more extensive than that of other schools that I looked into, and their student services are prompt, warm, and personable. If you love holistic medicine, this is the school!

This school is top-tier. I wish I had found it sooner and their customer service is above what I have gotten at any other school.

From the very beginning, I had so many questions and all of the staff answered all of them as promptly as they could within an hour to a couple hours or a day if everybody was off. Now being enrolled and doing all five modules it is a plethora of information all updated 300 to 400 hours per module and really getting your money worth at a PhD level.
