I had grate customer service very polite and understanding. How ever for the discounts I wasn't able to stack my signup discount and my military discount together. That is why I gave it a 4 star.

Took advantage of the Father’s Day…
Took advantage of the Father’s Day Bundle discount but had forgotten to enter the discount code! No worries as I placed a call to Swank and Cathy responded quickly and put together another shipment with all the accessories at NO CHARGE! We just set up the grill and stand and will be using it tonight to grill some swordfish! Can’t wait to do steaks or chops with no flareups like I get on our conventional grill! BTW the assembly is high quality and the Stainless they use is also of high quality! Worth every penny! Michael Wilson

Zero quality control
Defective right out of the box. Broken lift mechanism. Their go to excuse is "it must have happened during shipment" even though I have repeatedly told them that there is no damage whatsoever on the exterior of the unit or on the box itself. It was shipped defective from their factory, without the most basic of quality checks.
And the cart... well that's an entirely piece of junk.
Just all together a bad experience.

Long time user of Schwank Grill...love it and use it weekly. Recently bought a $500+ table to my grill. This table is biggest piece of junk. The big table came in a tiny box with more parts than a Swiss wristwatch. The instructions are confusing and unclear. Parts are not labeled, parts do not line up, and parts bent. They couldn't use regular phillips or flathead screwdriver for the part but some special screw-head that is very difficult to use. Save you money and get regular car already assembled at the hardware store. Total FAIL.

Defective out of the box
I ordered this grill and paid in full, then waited 30 days for delivery. When it finally arrived, the grill table sat crooked, and the lifting mechanism was noticeably lower on the left side than the right. As a result, the tray insert doesn't sit level, causing grease to pour out the front of the grill and into areas that are not accessible for cleaning.
I contacted customer service and sent several emails with photos, videos, and a full description of the issue. I then repacked the 74-pound grill and sent it back for inspection. The company stated their technicians need to determine whether the issue is due to user error or a manufacturing defect. If it's deemed a defect, they will repair or replace it. If not, I will be responsible for freight charges both ways.
I chose this grill because it's American-made and I’m willing to pay more for quality and service. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been my experience so far. Based on how long this process is taking, I estimate it will be 45–60 days from payment to receiving a functional grill.
I hope the company follows through with a solid resolution. I will update this review if and when the situation is resolved.

I’ll limit my comments to the ordering process since I haven’t received the product yet. They provide a Veteran/Military discount, which is a nice gesture. However, it cannot be applied to any of their bundles. It seems pointless to offer a discount if it can’t be utilized!

Replacing the regulator is our last…
Replacing the regulator is our last resort. This grill has never worked consistently and I gave up even trying a year ago. I watched YouTube videos and chat lines trying to figure out why it will not lite or stay lit. We even bought the pizza kit and have yet to use it. It was a gift and I don't have the heart to tell them it hasn't worked.l

Lack of quality control. Zero trust.
Obvious lack of trust. They are mailing me an empty box to return my defective grill, before mailing me a replacement. The obvious smart reaction would be to mail the warranty one and provide a return label for defective grill in the box.

SECOND UPDATE 4-30-25: 2ND Unit Arrives Crushed BEFORE being Packaged: Great Looking Grill, but Broke During First Use
2ND UPDATE: (stay tuned, I will update again): Replacement arrived. CRUSHED on one side. UPS box is perfect, not one dent or mark of any kind. THE UNIT WAS PACKAGED ALREADY CRUSHED/DENTED! They don't answer their phone BTW, not a big surprise. 1stUpdate: Went to two stars since I rec'd return lable finally.
STILL, have asked "what next?" No answer. No idea when I get a working grill that will cook more than half a steak. Looked nice out of the box, no damage...all was well...until I used it the first time. Watched all the videos, super easy setup, good videos. However; The raising mechanism for the grate seemed a bit floppy but what do I know? I put the steak on it, and when I went to raise it, POP, and then only the left side goes up and the right side stays put. The grate was crooked out of the box, per my wife...guess I should have listened.

I ussualy do not make reviews on products i buy but I was so dissapinted that had to. I have two Otto grills made in Germany. I decided to change and use a USA made grill to support the USA. Schwank does not cook as good. if you try to just brown (crisp out side) the meat an leave it rear inside is impossible. to make it crisp it will also cook inside
