Item arrived in a smashed up box, everything on the box is in Chinese which is not indicated on their site. Refused to pay for return postage even though the item received was not in the state one would expect. Unsympathetic and utterly useless customer service.

If I could give this company a minus or zero star rating I would.
Customer service was appalling. Item i had purchased took a month to arrive, and when it finally did arrive the condition of the goods was disgraceful, box was in pieces and in no condition that I could ever give as the gift I had intended.
My advice is to avoid and don't purchase from them.

Do NOT use 'Science-gifts'. Firstly they are terribly over-priced. Secondly, one of my items arrived damaged. Thirdly - there is NO customer service.......I emailed them every day for 10 days and got nowhere, and they never answer the phone number provided. In the end I had to claim my money back through the 'Chargeback' scheme for debit cards - hopefully my bank will investigate and report this terrible company. Shame on youtube for having them advertise on their site.

Do not buy from this site. It is a scam. The order took weeks to arrive. The products were far inferior to those on the website - not branded, not as good, some much smaller than advertised. Really terribly experience.

I so wish I had read these reviews first! My order for perpetual calendar, was received 6 days late, missing the birthday it was intended for. On arrival it was damaged, not to mention very cheap and nasty looking, not at all as expected. There were no instructions for use, unless you call those in Chinese printed on the box itself for you to interpret!
I contacted the company via email and was told (I suspect an AI fake person, Manon) I could keep the goods and have a 20% refund to make it easy for me - I said no, the goods were damaged, but they kept pointing me back to their terms and said I could return to FRANCE at my expense. Their terms say they cover the cost if damaged, they were!! I also phoned customer services and have had no reply to my email.
In the end I was so frustrated I have received the 20% refund, I just want be shot of this horrible experience!

If I had only checked here before placing an order! Do not use this website. It is a scam and they reply to complaints but refuse to do anything about them and refuse to refund. Beware! Don't order from this website.

Also as an update, my bank have told me that not only did this company take payment, they set this up as a recurring charge. If you have ordered from this company please contact your bank and get advice.

Under the Consumer Rights Act and Distance Selling Regulations, my order has not arrived within the advertised delivery time.
I am cancelling the order and require a full refund within 14 days.
If I do not receive a refund I will initiate a chargeback with my bank. **this is the key thing to write so your bank can get your money back.

I wrote this to them after the time passed when I should have received the item.

I ordered a small product - sand timer/5 mins. I was so encouraged by finding this sweet item on sale. It looked like a great company - it has SCIENCE in the title - it was bound to be honourable. I am afraid to tell you, as others here have said, this company is not to be trusted. ** I honestly had given up on ever receiving the item but blow me down the timer arrived today!!! It was well packed and not broken. The timer seems to work but fingers crossed it doesn't stop.

Generally speaking I have to say that communication was poor. When I asked for the full refund they said it had already been sent out. To be honest, I didn't believe them as it said PROCESSING online as the status of my order.

I would definitely NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER use this company again.

ANYTHING would be an improvement. Wish I had read the reviews here first.
Ordered my sons birthday present on 25th March for 4th April and here we are the 9th April. No present, only communication continually states 'PROCESSING' and I am beginning to wonder if anyone has actually received anything from this company! One more week and then trying for an UNLIKELY refund......SCAM! Do not waste your money or time on this company.

Ordered on the 9 February 2026, now one month later no parcel. No news from the shop, they just write back: we completely understand your impatience....It looks like a scam where they charge you and not sending the order. They are scamming parents and children....the lowest kind

Iem Not Delivered – Company Claiming Unrelated Parcel as Proof

I ordered a Mini Tesla Coil kit from Science Gifts for an upcoming work event.

What I received was only the small free promotional item included with the order. The main item — the Tesla Coil kit — was not delivered.

The company is relying on an Evri delivery photo that shows two white parcels on a doorstep and claims both belonged to them under one tracking number. However, the second parcel in that photo was an unrelated Amazon delivery for another member of my household. It had absolutely nothing to do with Science Gifts or my order.

Despite explaining this clearly and providing supporting information, the company continues to insist the Tesla Coil was delivered and has not provided proof that the item was actually packaged and dispatched separately.

Communication has since become unproductive.

I regret not researching the company more thoroughly beforehand. After this issue arose, I found similar delivery dispute complaints from other customers.

I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision before purchasing.

I hope the company resolves this properly. AVOID

Robot construction toy for grandson arrived with instructions ONLY IN CHINESE. I complained and they offered a refund BUT the item has to be returned tracked to France and they will not pay return costs even for items not fit for purpose. *AVOID*AVOID*AVOID*

Two items ordered a week before Christmas. One item arrived early January. Second item still not arrived (now mid-Feb). Responses to my emails just keep saying item is being shipped soon. On the site it states item is being processed. They haven't provided proof of shipping. No updates, they only respond when I email them.

Ordered a birthday gift from this website for a teenager. It's not an actual company it's a drop ship site that essentially overcharges for cheap Chinese tat. Avoid at all costs or just look on temu it'll be there but cheaper.

Slow delivery; poor product quality - both toys needed to be returned as didn't work properly due to poor quality - customer expected to fund this international return (not British/UK based company) - after sales slow to repsond on email - insist on offering partial refunds for you to 'keep the toys' which when they don't work is utterly pointless. Utterly frustrating company to deal with. I will never purchase from them again and would never encourage anyone to buy from them. Their website looks smart but everything else about this company is awful.

I bought some Christmas gifts but they did not turn up until early January, even after calling them for reassurance they would arrive.

I wanted to return them but that was met with resistance. They eventually gave the returns address, which is in France! That cost me an additional £14 in postage.

They have had the items for over two weeks, and I am still chasing my refund.

Save yourself the pain and buy from somewhere else.

Do not use these scamming scammers.... ordered a gift for my son and it never arrived. Tracking says order delayed. Absolutely awful. A .co.uk website based in New Mexico. Reported! Had to change my cards just in case. AVOID AVOUD AVOID

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM Science-Gifts.co.uk. They are con artists. I purchased a Tesla coil for my son as a Christmas gift at the beginning of December. It did not arrive until after Christmas although that is a side issue. The Tesla coil comes with a non-UK plug (which is not advertised on their website) and does not work (even with a power adaptor). I have now been corresponding with the customer service team for over a month to get my money back and they are refusing to refund me, only offering a 20% refund. They argue that I am using the wrong power adapter even though I have sent them videos showing the power adapter works. Also, their return address is in FRANCE which is not advertised on their website and they only tell you, reluctantly, after you have questioned them. BE WARNED, DO NOT USE!
