Got ripped off by he director.

Don’t trust them !!!

We recently worked with Sculpt Digital to create a brand new website for our charity, bbta.uk and we couldn’t be happier with the result! COST US £11,040 AND COULD ONLY USE FOR 4 DAYS! DO NOT PAY THIS COMPANY UPFRONT!! I found this company on google, i wanted to keep it local and after several conversations about what I needed for my business, decided to use this company. BIG MISTAKE. All through the process, especially after looking back, I can see the undercurrent of the directors attitude in emails and wish I had taken it more seriously at the time. Before we signed and paid them they were very nice and helpful, once paid, they became difficult. The website took over a year after been told it would be ready in March 2022, it was finally ready in December 2022, but it was not infact ready at all and our opening night was a disaster. Everytime they asked for things we had already sent them, we were asked for another payment in August and assumed the website was ready, it was not. I just feel like they did not listen to what we needed and then the amendments we were told were new things and would cost more but we had specified all this at the start. We sent a ticket receipt and stated we needed it identical which they said they could do and it was nowhere near. In our quote we were told we would get half a days training, we had approx 1 1/2 hours and it was never mentioned again. The week we were supposed to go live, we had support till 7pm, but due to them, we did not go live. We asked for the next available monday and heard nothing back until we questioned on the monday if we could go live on tuesday, only to be told we were already live but had support only till 5.30pm as no one was available. We do not open till 4.30 so this was no use to us and we were not even consulted. When we went through all the issues we had we were told we had not practiced or tested enough and it was our fault and he could not work with is so to find another developer. What kind of customer service is that?? I also complained that I had asked for a bespoke website as we have very particular needs and when a member of my staff went to train and asked why there was so many things on there that were irrelevant to us and could they be removed, the director told her it was because it was a template so they couldnt remove them and we could just not use them. Again, lots of different menus that we do not need just make the system harder and when I questioned him about this he told me it was complete nonsense and he did not say that. My staff are not liars and he clearly did not like been called out and it was very obvious this was a template, or theme as he also likes to call it. Either way, it was not a bespoke website which is what I paid for. UPDATE - this was my original review which was posted on another site. After checking in on this site, my review now sits under a company called first click and that company is permeantly closed?? Seems fishy to me. I also recentlhy had issues with my domain and when it was looked into, SCULPT DIGITAL had regained access to my doman and we could not do anything with our website. When the managing director was asked about this after much investigating on my part, he asked my colleague to stop emailing him. I then had to step in and he confirmed it was their company and when I said please release it back, he told me to remove my review!! I then asked why he was black mailing me to get my domain back, and wanted me to remove the above review,in order for this to happen. As soon as I mentioned legal action and 'blackmail' he released the domain back to me. So very unprofessional and I would never deal with these people again.
