The process has a 3 star trust rating. I cannot trust on face value that my private details will be kept secure now and into the future. I do not trust this push for leveraging private details and what it means for privacy control. Seek Pass needs to do more to provide assurance about its methods and concerning why the practices are required, and what alternative practices will suffice using Seek services.

Currently, if a police check certificate was issued more than 12 months ago, it wouldn't fall within our definition of 'recent'.
A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check is a 'point in time' check. This means the results only reflect police records on the date that the check is released. The organisation that requires a check will typically determine the acceptable length of time and this can vary. In general, most organisations would consider a check valid for approximately 3-4 months.
