very bad communication
The good: Onboarding and the first half of our engagement was a good experience. Communication good at the beginning. Once they finally got the video footage I filmed (more on that below) they edited the ads pretty well. I like how the ads turns out.
The bad:
1. Communication went downhill. Firstly, there were issues with the raw video footage I sent them for editing. Things would get stalled out with no updates until I would reach out to SMO, then reach out to my studio, and act as the middleman for communication between the two of them when they had the studio's contact info. There were several instances where they were stalled out on something for days or weeks that could have been cleared up with a phone call, and if I didn't get involved nothing would move.
Months after I filmed the footage, the ads campaign finally launched.
My contract said there would be data analysis and reporting. I got zero of that over the three months they ran the campaign after requesting it multiple times.
After launch, I requested a call with them and expressed my frustration about the lack of communication or analysis on how the campaign is going compared to industry standards - that's why I signed up with these guys, to get their expertise. My rep agreed that their communication sucked and said I'd be getting a report soon.
Two weeks later, no analysis. I wrote them asking where it was. No response. ONE MONTH later I send a follow up, no response.
I would never treat my clients like that.
2. As part of the onboarding they told me to sign up for an account with a third party software service that they never ended up using in the funnel they created. It cost $1,000 for an annual subscription that I could not get refunded.
3. A very important of the funnel they created was neglected in a way that made no sense. Nothing went out to initial warm leads. No emails, nothing. An email sequence only went out to leads in a later stage of the funnel. I didn't find out about this until weeks after launch. Their answer was to just call the leads when they came in. That's a huge glaring problem that I wasn't notified about until I asked about it.
This was supposed to be a done-for-you funnel and I'm wasting ad money on leads just sitting there with no follow-up at all, without being told that's what was happening.
I would not recommend Sell More Online unless you're prepared to check all their work and do multiple follow-ups at every step of the way.
