Take advantage of seniors
I feel very taken advantage of.
They make outrageous suggestions on the pricing of my great lake tahoe timeshare but it dosen't seem like they follow through. I depended on their expertise and basically found out my timeshare was probably very overestimated. Lake Tahoe had the best winter ever and they hardly did much of anything to promote that. I had to be the one to call them. I had to consider lowering the price. Aren't they the experts? Is this website just a fraud? I think once you pay plenty $$$ upfront they barely do anything to help or advise. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend and would like my money back if they even look at this review. They seem like scammed on the selling side. Do not trust them or give them any money. As I said, lake tahoe to this day had their best ski season and not one inquiry?
Something is very fishy. I strongly think they are just doing nothing extra. No advice unless I reach out? I would prefer my money back but I don't think they are reputable to consider that. They obviously enjoy taking advantage of seniors that would like to end a relationship. Summary. High price-- No service-- no communication-- overestimate the value so you get interested.
Fyi it is a wonderful timeshare.
I just don't live nearby anymore.

Persistence, persistence, persistence…
I did not know about the challenge on which I had embarked…to sell a timeshare with a special twist!. When we bought the timeshare, golf rounds were supposedly included, but we later found out that if we were to sell, the golf rounds would not be included for the new owner. SMTN had specific knowledge of the particular timeshare company. They were able to make recommendations to us as to pricing to help find a buyer. And they were also able to negotiate with the owner And the perspective buyer to meet on common grounds. Bottom line is that they did an amazing job and persistently continued to sell for over two years!

Grand Timber Lodge Secondary Market Purchase
I recently purchased a Grand Timber Lodge timeshare on the secondary market through Sell My Timeshare Now and had a very positive experience.
Benjamin was my primary contact and was consistently responsive and helpful throughout the process. Communication was clear, and the overall workflow—from offer to closing—was easy to understand and follow.
They provided a realistic estimate for closing time and managed expectations well. The transaction ended up completing a bit faster than anticipated, largely due to the timing of the deed recording and the resort processing, but it was helpful to have a clear range upfront rather than unrealistic promises.
I also had a few specific questions regarding the transfer of bonus time benefits, and those were addressed quickly and accurately.
From a value perspective, the secondary market is a no-brainer. I purchased a summer floating week (odd year) for $100, compared to what would have originally been a much higher direct purchase price.
Overall, a smooth and professional experience. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Upfront Fees with No Results
Upfront Fees with No Results after months of advertising. The company doesn’t really market your timeshare, you have to. If you want your ad to be at the top of the listings you have to keep emailing customer service to change the price. If someone is eyeing your timeshare and they keep see in the price change doesn’t say much for the integrity of the site.
Over-promising Value: SMTN agents provide inflated estimates for the resale value of your timeshares to secure the listing, only to suggest lowering the price to near zero later.
Poor Communication After Payment. Never heard from anyone for updates, but, what is there to update - nothing! Your ad gets posted on a webpage with hundreds of other listings, that’s it! I canceled my listing after almost a year on the site. I asked for a refund of some sort but was told I was after the 10 DAY period. Who sells a timeshare in 10 days? 1 do not recommend this company

No confidence that I will get my 3k back. Don’t do this!
They made big promises and told me that they will sell my timeshare. However, I have no confidence that that will happen. All they do is list your Timeshare and they already have your money so they’re not motivated to sell it. I have been this satisfied with their service. I would do not recommend anyone use this company to sell their timeshare. All they’re going to do is take your $3000 and put it in there pocket. they are very friendly and answered the phone when you call but just hear the same response every time as your price of your timeshare goes down. I should’ve listened to other people and just use my Timeshare rather than give it away.

Contracted with SMTN Loyalty for 6years in 2024 for maintenance fee refunds. They refuse the annual renewal in 2026. Over 2 years their communication is appalling. The don't respond or don't answer the question.I Formally Complained asking for a specific reason for early termination. No reason given.

A scam in its purest form
This is a scam in its purest form. They are EXTREMELY skilled at marketing their services. When, after a while, they receive criticism for failing to deliver on their promises, they send a boilerplate response. It’s impossible to take legal action against them—they simply have too much legal muscle behind them, which an individual doesn’t have. They exaggerate their offers, promise too much, and deliver too little.
I expect to receive a standard response to this, just as so many others have, but that doesn’t change the fact that everyone should stay as far away from this company as possible.

I was pleasantly surprised how smoothly selling my timeshare went. I had been an owner since 1987! I had many companies call me and wanted me to pay to sell my timeshare. Top notch experience
My husband saw the SMTN listing of a prime unit in Aruba for a great price that we honestly thought was a scam. When contacted, the advisor gave a lot of pertinent information but said that the unit was on hold and under tentative contract. He said that we would be contacted in 5 days should the other party not execute a deal. In the meantime, we reached out to the resort to confirm the unit and the maintenance fees. Everything aligned with our information from SMTN. We ultimately executed our sale transaction through SMTN, and similar to other real estate transactions we have undergone, everything was professionally done, excellent legal documentation, transparent and above board. SMTN’s communications and customer service couldn’t have been more timely and accurate. Even as the resort took more than the 90 days to finalize the transfer and title process, SMTN stayed in touch with us, provided reminders and support to secure and finalize the deal. We are very happy with every aspect of our experience with SMTN.
