I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Short Story. This company is top notch. Their communication is something most companies could take tips from.

I have no idea how big the company is, but they always leave me feeling like I’m their most important customer. Responses to emails are incredibly fast, efficient, and always personal. You never feel like just a number.

I’ve had about 12 chapters with them so far and have enjoyed every single one. I often tell others about my experience because it’s been that good.

I love the clothes, I love the service, and I’ll keep singing their praises!

I was a huge Short Story Fan until my last box. I had requested something specific and it felt like the stylist ignored it. Then the clothing selected was not right--kind of shabby and one item was a repeat of something I had gotten before and bought. On the positive side, I have some really nice items that actually fit. On the negative side, I don't feel like they are listening. I was very disappointed and when I wrote to express that, they were very nice but felt even when I emailed that I was talking to a BOT not a person. I am doubtful about doing this again but may change my mind.

Very easy to navigate and order. The clothing ends up being very pricey and they send you higher priced clothing than asked for. Clothing is nice. Returns are super easy. But I could have gotten some of the same clothes $20 cheaper in some department stores. So they dont really offer anything you cant find yourself

Aside from the outstanding customer service and communication, the clothes appear to be very well made, fabric has been lovely too. I have RA and it is no longer comfortable for me to be taking clothes on and off in store after store. Being able to take my time has been such a comfort to me. Can’t wait for cooler weather to wear my fall selections. My stylist has great taste too!! Thank you!

First of all, the customer service was outstanding! They were so kind, quick to respond, and really helpful with my questions.

Secondly, the clothes fit extremely well and you can tell they are definitely made for petite sizes, not just regular clothes made shorter. I am petite and it has always been so hard to find things that actually fit right.

I have never had pants that fit so well. I didn't have to get them hemmed at all, they were perfect right out of the package. The shirts have the proper sleeve length and they come to the right length overall, not too long like most shirts are on me.

If you are petite and tired of having to alter everything you buy, you should try Short Story. I will definitely be ordering again and I recommend them to all my petite friends!

For those of you ladies who who are petite (aka short), ShortStoryBox is for you. I basically quit shopping for clothes online because I couldn't find beautiful clothes that fit properly. My tailor was making a killing having to take everything up for me. Up or in! I can't remember how I found ShortStoryBox but I'm glad I did.

A box of clothes gets delivered to my front door once a month for a small fee. That fee gets deducted from any pieces I keep. I try on each piece and return what I don't want at the Post Office in the enclosed pre-addressed bag. Also, the more you inform them about your likes and dislikes the better idea the stylist can send you pieces you adore. Be specific!

In two boxes the stylist just sucked and the clothes were more expensive and it didn’t seem justified.
I thought maybe I am being too picky but I tried another service and that stylist using the same pics of me including full length to show full fit and style and that stylist picked great stuff.

It is a rare experience to have a company that understands and specializes in clothes for women who are under 5’ 4” This is refreshing as the predominance of the fashion industry caters to women who are tall and slender. This company provides a dedicated fashion consultant to each client who can focus on the individual needs of the client. The process is user friendly. It is easy to return unwanted items. Feedback is encouraged. Requests for assistance are answered promptly. Each item is high quality, though not unreasonably expensive. I have been involved with this company since June 2026.
