Friendly staff and easy and pleasnant to deal with , highly recommend

Horrible experience in Melbourne. $500 bond not clearly stated and refuse to refund this after 2days hire claiming a dent (which is not even visible). Nominated repair company seems to be an associated company of Simba. BE AWARE!! I WOULD NOT USE THEM. SEEMS NICE A AFFORDABLE BUT THIS IS HOW THEY MAKE BACK THE MONEY!!!!!

I chose Simba due to their opening hours ( most of the other companies were 9- 5) so I could drop off the car before our flight and then dropped at the airport by their shuttle bus. The car was tidy and worked well - hybrid - so small fuel cost. The staff were friendly and helpful :)

I reserved a car at Cairns airport for a few days away.
It was a wonderful service from beginning to end.
A short wait from arrivals for the the free shuttle bus and then I dealt with such a helpful, funny and to be honest a very good looking man while picking up a great Rav4 for my holiday.

Dropped it off with no wait time or issues and then had another young, friendly good-looking man shuttle me back to the airport.
I would highly recommend Simba car rentals, good-looking men or not! 😆

It was easy to organise and book and then when I wanted to add another day it was no problem at all. The office staff are nice and friendly as well as being very helpful throughout

I booked online and paid, went to collect the car, sat waiting for an hour without any acknowledgement from staff. When I finally got to see someone I was told I had to pay an extra $1000, because I was local. This amount was extra even though I had paid the higher insurance premium to reduce excess. The $1000 wasn't just on hold it was withdrawn and repayed once the car was returned. This information was sent via email AFTER I had paid online. I told the staff member I no longer wanted the car to cancel the booking and return my payment. Simba rung me the next day to ask when I returned the car! I explained that I cancelled due to the $1000 debacle on pick up and that I never received the car. I emailed and called Simba again and have still not had the prepayment returned. The huge bond amount needs to be communicated BEFORE PAYMENT not after.

There was nothing wrong with the vehicle or service or location but the way this company takes your safety deposit is not acceptable.
I rented a vehicle for 2 days & Simba took a supposed hold of $500 on my AMEX card. This was immediately cashed by Simba, so it's not a hold like other rental companies/ hotels etc. do.
Exactly 1 week after the vehicle was returned notification was received that all was fine with the vehicle on return & that the $500 refund would be processed within the next 10 days.
With a fleet of 1500 this seems a dodgy if not illegal way of keeping over a million dollars of other folks money for about a month.
Won't use them again or recommend.

Booked vehicle online went same day to pick up vehicle and paid for it on time to collect vehicle and for some reason at the exact time to collect vehicle it's suddenly not available wat a load of shit

Went to collect car after deposit already taken from my debit card, noticed it was in my maiden name and even with a marriage certificate wouldn’t allow the hire. What a load of BS, one guy on the counter seemed to target me over nothing. Horrible place, useless staff

We were very dubious booking as it seemed to good to be true.
However, simba shuttle picked us up very quickly from the airport.
The car was exactly as described.
It was full of fuel and cleaned well.
The staff were all very friendly.
Overall highly recommended.

Will use Simba whenever we can - they offer great value and service. On our last 4 interstate we have used them and we have had great experience every time. Thanks

Great value for rental and all elements went smoothly, including shuttle pick up and drop off. It does add a little more time but worth it for the price difference compared to getting a car at the airport directly. Hired a hybrid vehicle which drove really well and was very economical. I will note that the excess liability is quite high for all vehicles but I always take out my own insurance. Good to know in advance though that it’s $5,400. Overall, found the experience easy and would recommend

Do not use this company unless you want to be charged astronomical prices for imaginary repairs.
They take unauthorised payments from your card and you cannot get it back.
Look somewhere else.

Arrived on time at Brisbane Airport office to pick up car booked through international booking website.
Was refused the rental by Simba because they stayed their policy was to require in addition to a drivers licence a utility bill with the same address as the drivers licence for local renters.
They refused to accept 4 credit cards, a Medicate Card, or online bank statements confirming my address.
My confirmation voucher listed the documentation required and there was no reference to a second document confirming address.
The Simba agent could not find any reference to this policy on the booking agent’s website. I phoned the booking agent’s helpline and d they confirmed that there was no requirement for this additional documentation in their policy with Simba.
Despite this and after the booking agent’s spoke with the Simba agent no exception would be granted to their local renter policy despite this not being included on my booking confirmation or mentioned during the booking process.
The refusal to take responsibility for their lack of communication was ridiculous. I have no issue with their policy but to leave the customer in the lurch because of their communication failures warrants a rating of 1 star
