I would give no stars. Worst RX company ever! They cover nothing Everything gets denied. I pay $600 a month for my anxiety meds that they will not cover. I did not ask to be on medication, but they are the only ones that help, and they denied my doctor's medical necessity. They should not be in business. They do not care about the patients. CHEAP GARBAGE

Scam business covers cheap prescriptions but that's it. "Insurance" in name only. Sound the alarm if your company is switching over to these crooks. In fact as I read the glowing reviews, they all have very similar wording.....gee, I wonder why?

Our organization has been working with SmithRx as our pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) for the past year, and we wanted to share an honest, constructive review that may be helpful to others considering their services.
What We Appreciate:
Transparent Pricing Model: One of the standout features of SmithRx is their commitment to a transparent pass-through pricing model. This gave us a much clearer picture of what we were paying for and helped us build trust in the relationship.
Customer Support: Their member support team has been generally responsive and helpful. We've found that most issues brought to their attention are addressed quickly, and we appreciate the effort they put into member education.
Technology Platform: The online portal is user-friendly and provides good visibility into claims data and plan utilization. This has been useful for internal reporting and strategy.
Areas for Improvement:
Formulary Management: At times, we’ve noticed a lack of clarity or communication around formulary changes. When medications were added or removed, there was occasionally a lag in informing our team and members, which caused some disruption.
Pharmacy Network Access: While the network is generally broad, we did encounter a few limitations in certain geographic areas where access to preferred pharmacies was less than ideal.
Communication During Implementation: Our onboarding process with SmithRx could have benefited from clearer timelines and more proactive communication. Once we were fully up and running, things smoothed out, but the initial stages were bumpier than expected.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, SmithRx offers a refreshing alternative to traditional PBMs with their pricing transparency and member-centered approach. While there are areas that could use refinement—especially around communication and formulary transparency—the experience has been mostly positive, and we see potential for even greater improvement as the relationship continues.

Must think they are medical doctors
Smith Rx will question your physician about medication they have prescribed, than makes the fill out a form of necessity only to deny it. My question is when did a pharmaceutical company know more about my condition than my doctor. I have asked Smith Rx to send me a copy of their medical license, as of date I have not received it!
When you question anyone at the office about the decision they made not knowing my medical history, than get very offensive.
