The engineers did a good job cleaning my solar panels. Adam Singh called me to see if I was happy with the job that was carried out and sent me pictures of the work being carried out straight away.

I have taken out a solar panel maintenance contract over 6 years. I dealt with Adam who was polite and patient with me as I do have a hearing deficiency, so we mainly communicated by text message or email. I received my certificate of cover and details of the contract within the stated time. My only concern is that my previous contract monthly payments were not set up as a Direct Debit but as a continuous Debit card payment. This means you have no control if the payments overrun the contract time, only by asking the company to stop them or getting your bank to block future payments. I did not realise this until I had taken out the new contract and saw the payments were still being taken on the original contract.

My Solar inverter was not generating electricity and showing a fault, so I took up Solar Daddy flyer for a FREE health check. Their representative came. WHen in the loft he asked me to go downstairs to turn of the isolator to see if a reset would work. A few mins later asked me to switch on again. Could not get the inverter to work.
Gave me a quote of £850 to send an engineer to fix the inverter or replace with a new one if it couldnt be fixed - same price (I thought this was strange).
I got a second company to come and check. This one was far more thorough. He discovered that the AC cable had been UNPLUGGED and tucked up so it looked like it was plugged in. He connected it all up and reset it and there was no fault on the inverter. He also discovered that there was a slight problem with my consumer unit that could have caused the inverter to display the error code in the first place. There was no problem with the inverter that a reset did not fix.
Please avoid this company.
Edit: I cant not reply to the Solar Daddy group however, two points, it is a total lie that both myself and their representative left the loft at the same time. He was left for about 5 mins alone in the loft. Secondly I specifically asked about the £850 charge twice and both times was told in no uncertain terms that was the minimum charge and was for fixing the inverter OR if it could not be fixed a replacement inverter. I found this unbelievable and told them on the phone when that called to ask if I was going ahead.

My elderly mother was talked into an inverter and a maintenance contract with your company early on in 2023 -you have had many conversations with us as my sister and I are acting on behalf of my mother and you have seen our LPA. You performed a ‘free health check’ in December 23 and reported a fault . The system has been switched off since then. We’re now in June and there had been no contact since despite my sister and I contacting you we have not had any response. We asked you not to call my mother because of her cognitive decline. We need some answers from you please as our mother is not getting any service or benefits from the solar system and contact she has paid for. Answers please !

This score is no refection on the teams that work out on the field but about the company in general.
The work to clean my solar panels was carried out by the same guys as the year before. Both amazing, polite and very professional.
The management team could learn a thing or two from them. They are unprofessional and only reply when you threaten to send your problem to your solicitors.
You have to chase up for your yearly service.

Leaving a 1 star review helped a little.
After waiting and trying for 6 weeks of contacting an awful, hopeless customer service, Adam, never calling back regarding the faults with the battery not working, and when it will be fixed.
Finally I got through to Lianne in the office who put me in touch with Terry, who jumped into action and with in a week Tony and John turned up to sort it and also cleaned all the panels and got them working fully along with the battery.
Terry was sent a copy of my complaints letter to HQ that was never acknowledged or replied to. He was the first person to apologize in 6 weeks.
A big thank you to Terry and Lianne, especially Tony who tried and tried to get things working at install. Now hes been successful.

Took a few calls to organise, but once real communication was established with Tom at Solar Daddy everything went pretty smoothly and, although only had the battery for just over a couple of weeks, every thing going pretty well and looking forward to seeing if this is reflected in our FIT payment. Thomas our installation engineer from Solar Daddy worked hard at the installation and, despite one or two problems with my mains box at the house, completed the task expertly. My wife and I even took out a maintenance contract with Solar Daddy for my panels as well as the battery to complete the system!

The call by the maintenance team, in regard to my ASHP exceeded my expectations, in that the overriding issue was swiftly diagnosed and overcome. The company running the original installation provided good "kit", but lousy after-sales service, with no documentation provided, nor a proper commissioning, and they liquidated almost immediately thereafter! It took almost 3 years searching to find Solar Daddy, much to my relief. It transpires that the installers (High Star Energy) may well have failed to use the essential anti-freeze/corrosion inhibitor completely! Thus it is good to have found a viable substitute. Some further work is consequently necessary, and I have already put it in Solar Daddy's capable hands. I would recommend Solar Daddy Group to anyone for sure.

Still waiting and although they have a new manager who told me 2 weeks ago that he would contact me about my Solar panals not working on the next friday he has not phoned me at all. Also although I have phoned many times I never get to speak to Terry the new boss. I have been waiting since October when it stopped working. Every day its not working it costs me money I dont understand why they wont fix it.

Very unhappy with solar daddy
who fitted a sunsynk battery.
It was installed on 3rd April and has not worked since, now nearly 4 weeks of nothing.
We can't even use power from the solar panels in daylight any more, as the panels are now linked to the faulty battery.
Countless calls and texts, emails and even a long letter of complaint to customer service that is hopeless....
No one contacted us to say this will
be sorted.
The only spark in this fiasco is a call from the original engineer saying he,will come to get it operating. But when, he couldn't say.
We won't pay any more money until it is all working.
This has left us having to pay for electricity during the day putting us well out of pocket.
And very dissolutioned at the name Solar Daddy.
Friendly, professional team installed our wind turbine today - looking forward to seeing it in operation!!
