Sales process went well and I chose them because they were local and I believed (wrongly) that this would make communications and service better. We agreed installation date and the installer/s simply didn't turn up, and when I chased no-one was even aware, then they did turn up on a day I specifically asked them not to turn up.
Installation itself was fine and products them selves seem to be of good quality.
Solarmate started chasing for payments before installation was finished which was a warning sign.
Since then a paperwork issue has meant I have not been able to get full benefit of my system and regular attempts to contact Solarmate have been met with either complete silence or a very occasional "we will fix it".
I could not recommend anyone uses this firm based on my experience

We agreed specs & quote with Tom and all seemed fine, but then communication broke down and we struggled to get any responses to messages. Eventually it was agreed via email that the work would be done on a date in June, but then they never turned up! We've heard nothing since, despite chasing loads of times. Luckily we paid nothing upfront, but what a waste of time!

We had Tom and crew fit solar to our house back in November 2024, lots of little issues at the time and took more than a month to complete the installation, now nearly 7 months down the line we are still waiting for the G99 application to be submitted (to enable us to sell back to the grid) after chasing and chasing and not getting any response to phone calls and emails to varies people. we are now trying to find someone else to do it for us at more cost, unfortunately we paid as soon as we were up and running.

Tom and the team were excellent and explained the system well - system working brilliantly.

Great proposal, quick and easy installation. Richard is awesome to deal with as he knows his craft and is happy to answer questions to get the details right, without being too pushy to lock in the sale.
