Poor product quality control
We are writing to let you know of the terrible experience we had with the Quiet Barrier MLV we purchased from your company.
We received the product in December and Saturday 1/3/26, we attempted to install it. The instructions were confusing because one page said to leave a 1/4 gap on the MLV
Another instruction web page said to leave the 1/4 gap on the drywall going over the MLV. We called twice to customer support to clarify to be sure we got it correct.
We proceeded to mark 1/4 gap around the parameter of our wall. When we went to hang the first 4x8 piece of MD MLV, we could not get the sides to line up with the ceiling.
Steve checked the square of our ceiling and walls and we were in line. Then we checked the sheets of MLV and discovered they were ALL cut diagonally!
Pictures are attached that show our ceiling and walls are square but not the sheets!!
Being Saturday late afternoon, and we missed the 15 day return because our drywall contractor was out of the country for a holiday, we decided to try and square them ourselves.
That said, it took us the rest of Saturday to square the sheets. We were able to successfully hang them on Sunday once squared. This wasted a whole day.
This was totally unacceptable as EVERY sheet was off! One sheet was not even the full 96" when we had to trim it to be square!! Then, the seam tape was supposed to be 96" and was only 94"!
When you buy a drywall or panel that says 4x8, you expect it to be 4x8 square! Your company has TERRIBLE quality control.
We picked your company because it was in the USA and veteran and woman owned. However, this product has given that and your company a bad reputation.

Great customer service, I didn't even buy anything.
Wow! I called the company, and they answered the phone!! I talked directly to a live person. Great customer service from the first interaction. I asked him if SoundproofCow could help with my impact noise problem from the upstairs neighbors. Since the solutions would involve construction, and I am a renter in an apartment, it would not work for me. BUT then the agent went above and beyond and advised trying a pink noise machine to help mask the impact sounds coming from my upstairs neighbors. The wonderful customer service agent saved me tons of money I would have spent on Amazon trying DIY remedies. Thank you for your advice.

Quiet Barrier™ Specialty Composite w/PSA
I purchased 1 roll of Quiet Barrier™ Specialty Composite w/PSA for the inside of my boat engine cover. I didn't use a dB meter to measure the difference before and after, but I was happy with the results. There was a noticeable difference in the ease of conversation while the boat was underway towing wakeboarders. I have a direct drive engine and was able to cover 80% of the interior of the engine cover with 1 piece of this product. I could add a 2nd piece and improve the results, but I'm happy with what was achieved with 1 piece. I ended up prioritizing the portion of the engine cover facing the driver and passenger seat which left the 20% facing the rear passenger seats less protected. The other thing that people should be aware of is the added weight. This mat is heavy and does impact the effectiveness of the struts in holding the engine cover open. Upgrading the struts would help solidify the cover in the upright position, but the old ones were able to keep it open with the added weight. I was also satisfied with the adhesive backing of this product and believe it will hold everything in place without an issue.

Will this work for live bands ?
I see lots of reviews of cx services however I don't see many reviews on if this stuff works . I'm a drummer and will be looking to sound proof an unfinished storage space / garage, or at least as much as I can without spending a crazy amount of money. Any users use this for live band application? Thats the true test right there lol

Works great, very hard to cut.
The material shipped promptly, and arrived before the projected date! The product works as advertised. The only drawback is that is extremely difficult to cut. Perhaps you could include a sheet with installation tips and techniques? That would have been very helpful.
