Very Good but with a niggle

I think Spendesk is really good and the mobile app makes logging expenses a breeze. My only negative is if you need to amend a ticket. In most cases, you have to cancel the expense and re-enter the details.

Shockingly disappointing service

My company has been using Spendesk for a few months. Recently, all cards stopped working hindering the work of a large part of the team that needs to buy various supplies several times a day to keep the business going. I chased daily with customer support. They took several days to identify the issue, initially asking me to top up the account with several £000s first (which I did and it didnt work) and now OVER TEN working days later, no sign of resolution. They are sitting on £15k of our funds and my team is not able to use the cards, having to spend their own money, which is exactly why we contracted Spendesk to avoid. My issue is not being treated with urgency and I at a loss as to what to do next. I want to move away from the platform but feel stuck and unassisted.

The app on mobile is great

The app on mobile is great. The website however can often show errors and is sometimes glitchy

Terribly slow service

Nice application - but terribly slow service if there is an issue. I've been waiting for more than 3 weeks to log on since the 2FA system is broken and will not send email codes.

Customer Support is a Joke

Have a problem with my card and have spent a couple of hours chatting with the Support Team having what I would consider the most inefficient conversation I have had in the last few months.

After clearly explaining the problem they asked for unreasonable questions, delaying response time and not getting close to finding a solution.

Improvement Needed

Its a good application. But it can be improved as currently users can not find a way to track their requests and approval progress. Also its good if we can bring the facility to request for new card for someone who does not have any spendesk card so far.

Horrendous - don't even think about using this company

Our experience with Spendesk has been nothing short of horrendous! Their customer service team is completely useless and take can take months (literally!) to respond to emails. Be prepared for absolutely nothing to be dealt with urgently. No complaints will be dealt with either; every single one of the litany of complaints we had with them were fobbed off. If you email their "complaints" email, it is redirected to their customer services email, so they have no real escalation process whatsoever. We were promised credits for the issues caused by the circus of an upgrade they carried out last summer; that was never applied to our account, despite chases followed by hollow promises every month. We closed our account nearly 2 months ago and are still waiting for the balance in the account to be credited back to us. Save yourself a lot stress and go with Payhawk instead - their onboarding is excellent, their system is easy to use, and they are at the end of phone line if you ever have any questions (I've had only one 2 months in!)

Update 07/08/2025 - still no sight of the credits that we have been promised time and time again. It appears that if you do not have the time to constantly chase this company, they are quite happy to keep hold of your funds. Frustrating and unethical.

Terrible Customer Service

We have now been waiting 4 months to setup our subsidiary on Spendesk and it is still not complete. Despite asking for updates we have not heard anything from them for 6 weeks now. We are feeling lost with the lack of communication and there is no support line to speak to anyone to resolve. There should be no issues setting up the subsidiary as the ownership structure is exactly the same as the parent company which was set up on Spendesk over a year ago.

Hmm... I guess I need to apologise here. It turns out it wasn't Spendesks fault and they were very helpful fixing the issue.
