I was quite skeptical about purchasing a bonsai tree online but, the price was great, and I took a chance. My wisteria bonsai started sprouting just a few days after I started watering it daily. It reached about two feet in height within just a couple of weeks! I reached out to customer service regarding trimming, and they responded in a timely manner with valuable feedback. I'm so excited I get to grow and care for my bonsai, as well as have help available when needed. Thank you, Spirit of Japan!!!

Spirit of Japan have great and healthy specimens. I live in Australia and the ones that I bought (Wisteria, Sakura Cherry Blossoms, Gingko) are all healthy and thriving. Ume plum is currently dormant. I have ordered Azalea and Momiji and excited to have them soon. Yuki from Spirit of Japan is very helpful with her advices too. They package their bonsais well and once you follow their instructions it will definitely thrive. I am pleased with all of the bonsais that I received. They give me a sense of peace, calm, and tranquility. Thank you Spirit of Japan. I will definitely keep ordering from you! :-)

I feel like there is a real person at the other end of the line when I have a question. When I wondered about the logistics and legal issues surrounding international issues, they responded quickly and thoroughly. More importantly, the little cherry tree I received arrived in excellent condition, with healthy buds ready to leaf out, and no damage to the woody parts of the plant. The moss ball was green and thriving, and my little tree is thriving and full of new growth, enough so that I've had to prune her back a bit. So happy with this company!

Not from Japan and not a plant. It is seed and chances are not even the Japanese cherry blossom variety.

Recently ordered a Kokedama red Maple. Hello it was an understandable amount of time spirit of Japan kept in contact..
Description matches the product and the instructions they sent before the product arrived helped me understand how to unpack it and get it ready to start it growing season in Seattle.
They said it would take 2 to 3 weeks to see the tree show some signs of life after the winter time and then packaging and shipping across the Pacific.
It’s been two weeks and some of the new growth is coming back to life. I’m glad they described things the way they did cause otherwise I would’ve wondered what the heck was going on. :-)
Once I receive the tree, I reread the instructions and gathered a few things that I’ve missed in the first reading while I was waiting for the tree to arrive.
It’s great to see the trunk of the tree with some girth of a tree that’s 3 to 5 years old, which is what they advertise.
Truly, a unique addition to my very small bonsai collection. I’m just not in a place to be able to take on a lot of trees, but was such a great experience. I think I might order another specimen soon

Truly, exceptional service. I purchased a bonsai a few months ago in which it did not survive the dead winter. They replaced the tree and sent me a replacement with no question. Excellent customer service.

I am very satisfied with my bonsai, the only downside is the packaging that was not well identified as fragile so it was really very damaged but not the bonsai, I would have liked to have instructions on how to maintain it well but I managed to find the information on the internet!

This company ROCKS, they helped me pick out my tree, they also helped me with planting it and care!! Within 6 days it started to bud and now it is beautifully full with leaves everywhere!! Just purchased another today!!! I tried many of Bonsai companies/growers and this is by far the best one!!! Elliot
My first order from Spirit of Japan was great.
I ordered a momiji red maple and some seeds. The maple arrived and I was not expecting a good result, the box looked like an accordion 🪗 However, they are very skilled at packing. The tree only lost 4 leaves and it looked very fresh, the root ball covered with moss was still somewhat moist, and the seeds looked very good. My dad owned a nursery and had a degree in horticulture from Auburn University & I learned from him, so I know what I see. Spirit of Japan is very professional and the folks are warm and friendly. I highly recommend Spirit of Japan for your bonsai needs.

The shipping took longer than expected but I know that it will take some time because it was coming from Japan and I am in Canada. My Kokedama wisteria arrived on the 7th. My concern was what if it was dead? I immediately soaked the moss for 15 minutes. (As per care instruction). The wrapped moss took all the water. I removed the wrapping around the moss after. I just waited and treated my bonsai like any other plant I have at my place. Today 18th, 10 days later, green branches and leaves have sprouted. I am so happy. It’s alive!!!! I took a picture when it arrived and what it looks like now. I don’t think this survey allows me to upload a picture. I am a very happy customer. You can tell that the plant was handled with care and the way it was packed. I wrote immediately to Spirit of Japan to send me again the Care instructions and I got a very immediate response and the caring email inspired me. Thank you for this plant. I love love love it!

Japanese Sakura Cherry Blossom…
My Rare Japanese Sakura Cherry Blossom came in dormant state and after watering for a few weeks, we had our first blossom and then new growth everywhere.
It looks awesome and get tons of compliments on it.
The moss ball on bottom is a great feature.
Also, got some seeds to try🤞🤞
Total scam, avoid!!!
Really disappointed with what I received. Wish I had checked the reviews before ordering. Cushion cover is not from Japan, and came from China. Cherry blossom advertised is actually just seeds. Took ages to arrive and I received some dodgy package with a sealed bag of seed/pods but nothing was labelled. I had no idea what it was and where it came from and ended up chucking them. When I contacted the company they said it would have been labelled and they won't refund me. I believe everything on their site comes from China and the site is a total scam. Better to get it from Shein for cheaper and quicker delivery in that case. That is probably where they get it from in the first place anyway. Avoid this site.
I was so optimistic
Neither of my two plants survived the trip across the ocean I guess. The help guide that comes with the plant says give them time, they will recover. Mine did not.

I received my wisteria bonsai about 4 weeks ago, it looks really healthy and has settled in well. I’ve had feedback that it should be outside and will not flourish inside so that has left me with mixed feelings, however right now, I’m very happy with my bonsai, the experience and direct customer support has been great so a big thumbs up from me.
