Items arrive dirty. Ordered 2 dinner services, expensive purchases but came covered in dust and dirt, not just a little! Not nice to purchase new items and for them to come filthy.

Order item well before Christmas, delivered random parcel with random persons details. Returned wrong item only to be sent another. Have been chasing CS to organise a pick up and refund for last 10 days and no response to emails.
Definitely would not recommend.
I placed an order and began to regret it immediately, kept in the dark regarding a delivery date and no response to when it would arrive. Other companies delivered their products long before my Spode order was finally delivered.
I was surprised on the quality or should I say lack of and certainly wouldn’t have made my purchase if I had seen it in a shop but at least it will look ok from a distance

When trying to order, the website was 'jumping' around. It then decided not to accept my discount code after it had previously accepted it. Then it wouldn't take my card several times. When it eventually did accept it I went to look at order status and it was cancelled! Actually think I've had a lucky escape. Will never use this site again.
I ordered some items on 18/12 under the proviso that it’d be delivered by Xmas Day. The order is still being processed and I’ve received no response to my email requesting a refund. Non-existent delivery; non existent customer service. Steer clear!
I am so disappointed by the customer service that I have received. I ordered 12 bowls with the Christmas tree design on 14.12.25 which on their website clearly stated a guaranteed Christmas delivery. But by the 22nd I could see my order was still being processed. I rang customer service to hear an automated response stating that orders made before the 17th are guaranteed for Christmas. I was expecting to have an update of it being dispatched, the order was still being processed. I therefore rang them again and was lucky to get a response however the lady I spoke to couldn’t tell me when I should expect my order she promised me that she would find out and get back to me. After 5hrs and not hearing from her I rang them back to find out they have closed for Christmas until the 5th of January! No courtesy call or email explaining where my order is. So I feel her promise to get back to me is as valuable as their guarantees … worthless.
They obviously hold no value for their customers. Why make promises that you can’t keep. At this time of year you will have lots of very disappointed customers.
I wanted to order the 28-piece Christmas tree dinnerware set but ended up cancelling because their return policy doesn't include free return shipping. I haven't had to deal with a comapny that doesn't offer free returns in years. I'm not about to take a step backwards.
I recently came across a discount on blue Italian dinner sets and decided to place an order. To my disappointment, the order was canceled with the explanation that the price was a mistake. This is entirely unacceptable. Once a price is advertised and a sale is made, it is the company’s responsibility to honor it.
Labeling a price and then refusing to sell at that price feels dishonest and unprofessional. It’s hard to believe that after customers place their trust in a brand, they would retract their commitment like this. This experience has left me questioning their reliability and integrity. Would not recommend dealing with such a company.
I bought a pricey tea set from Wayfair and every single item was of extreme poor quality for the amount paid: the gold trimming was offset and/or scratched by default. But the teapot takes the cake: the moody snake coiling dramatically around the teapot and lid was printed in two different sizes, so when you close the lid, the unfortunate reptile's body is in no way symmetrical. The definition of having "one job"... Never again.
UPDATE: got a replacement and it has the same exact issues, bear in mind this is NOT hand-painted, it is a matter of having veeeeeery bad plotting machines for printing. Really shameful for the price.
Had a 5star experience ordering/receiving Spode items (12 piece china set of creatures of curiosity - plus two other items) BUT I accidentally broke one plate and it seems I can’t buy ONE replacement plate from the company, so my rating of them has dropped to 2star.
Shame, as I was SO pleased with my experience and purchases made just after Christmas.. but now I can’t set up for four people unless I buy another ‘set’ of plates. Having spent over £200 with them on my first order, you’d think they’d want to retain me as a customer and encourage me to buy more items .. bizarre customer service!
Disappointing experience. Was really excited by the Christmas tree dinnerware but a few of the pieces seemed like seconds. The customer service has been slow and communication not great. Disappointing outcome. Shame :-(

I can’t use them for Christmas dinner.

I have always loved the blue and Italian ranges, I buy some as often as I can afford, I have ever had reason to reach out to the customer service team. I purchased some beautiful tea spoons in November and didn’t have an opportunity use them until mid Jan, one of the handles was carjacked. With no fuss they sent a replacement. The true value of a brand is how they deal with problems no matter how small. Thank you Spode
