Fantastic Tool for Teaching Kids About Money
Spriggy has been a game changer for our family. It has made teaching my kids about budgeting, saving, and spending so much easier and fun. The app is simple to use, with a clear and colourful interface that my children understood straight away. I love how I can instantly transfer money, set savings goals with them, and track their spending in real time.
The prepaid card gives them a sense of independence while still allowing me to have oversight and set boundaries. The savings goals feature has really motivated my kids to think before they spend, and the ability to send quick top ups for chores or achievements is such a great bonus.
Customer service has been friendly and helpful whenever I have needed them, and everything feels secure and reliable.
Spriggy has turned money management into a positive learning experience, and I could not recommend it enough to any parent wanting to help their kids build great financial habits from a young age.

NOT SAFE OR SECURE TO LINK YOUR BANK CARD TO
DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. We loved spriggy until $60 was deducted from my bank by spriggy with zero explanation. Despite multiple attempts at getting support and my money back I have gotten nowhere. My boy doesn’t understand why his card keeps being locked, I am too nervous to use it in case more money is taken. It was fine until something went wrong and it’s is impossible to get anyone to except a bot to communicate with. Really frustrated and disappointed.

We're truly sorry to hear about your experience and understand how upsetting this must be, especially when it affects your child's confidence in using the card. Just to clarify, if a card is locked within the app, this can be unlocked.
The $60 charge is the annual membership fee, and we do send reminder emails a week before it's due. All fees are also clearly listed on our website: www.spriggy.com.au/pricing.

For spriggy mobile. The app is terrible. Difficult to navigate. Slow to load. Instructions are not clear.
Poor customer service.
It's also not possible to turn off automatic payments. We use the phone for child safety. The child does not need to recharge the service every month.

So easy to use for parents and kids. If they lose the card temporarily you can pause it. Money transfers instantly so you can make sure your kids have money when they need it. The app is very user friendly and you get immediate notifications when they spend which is great. Highly recommend!

We have used Spriggy for three years…
We have used Spriggy for three years now and find it easy to use and control and especially helpful to lock/unlock cards when they are misplaced. The kids appreciate seeing their goals realised and being able to buy what they have saved for. Ties in beautifully with the Barefoot Investor as digital 'jam jars'. And most of all, I love that it doesn't profile or sell my child's usage data.
