After reading their great reviews online, I thought I would give them a try. When booking, I made it clear that I intend to drive to North Cyprus. Booking mentioned that no deposit will be taken, I just pay for car hire and fuel at the airport. So when I arrive at the airport, I am told I have to pay 1,500 Euros as a deposit, because I want to travel to North cyprus, and I don't have a credit card! this caught me by surprise, and I ended up making payment from a card I was not planning to use, and I ended up paying extra bank charges because of this.

Was given a car that had a faulty socket/cigarette lighter, so I could not charge my phone while using navigation. Was very stressful for me. I drove with my kids to Karpas Pensinsula, on Turkish side. Whole time I was worried that my phone battery may die, and could get stranded there. Fortunately we made it back with about 30% charge left.

I told Stevens office about this. They said I can buy a powerbank, and they will refund me for this. I already had 6 devices to charge, so a 7th one will be a burden. I happened to be visiting Larnaca, so agreed to return car to their office for a replacement.40 minutes drive from Ayia Napa. Andrea was helpful and gave me 20 Euros for getting insurance cover again at Turkish border. What I find confusing is they tell me they don't take deposits, yet still took deposit off me. Had they told me this before I arrived in Cyprus, I could have planned for it, and avoid paying silly transfer fees to my bank. This has put me off hiring cars, and would prefer to get scammed by taxis instead.

This is an extremely two-faced company. I have been renting cars from Stevens for several years now. I have paid over the odds for very old cars in the past but accepted it because I the service was good and there were no hidden charges. I believed that I would be covered and looked after if I were to have an accident. Unfortunately, on this occasion, I had my first motoring accident in my 40 years of driving. I felt bad and was embarrassed because, for the first time, the car was new instead of old. I reported the accident to Stevens and I was surprised by their response. They were rude, arrogant and did not even ask if I was okay or injured. All they spoke and cared about was the cost of repairing the car. I always thought that was the job of the insurance company and their job was to look after the customer. They refused to replace the car and offered me a refund instead. I refused the refund, thinking that this may appease them. However, their stance and rudeness remained. They didn’t even have the decency to return my personal belongings which had been left in the car. Everybody can smile when you’re filling their pockets but their true colours show when things don’t go as planned. Therefore, I can only advise you to avoid hiring a car from this company. I went on to hire a car from Avis for the rest of my holiday and the car was €16 a day cheaper and I wish I had done this years ago. Avoid them.

I have used Stevens Car Rentals in Cyprus now for the past 5 years. The price you see is the price you pay and the cover is for yourself and your partner with no hidden charges. No nasty holds on your credit card for excess charges, they meet you at the airport and when you arrive and depart. You do need to pay for half a tank of fuel at the start of the rental but return it empty.

Toute assurance incluse, c'était le prix le plus bas qu'on ait pu trouvé parmi une dizaine d'autres sites de location.
Paiement sur place en possible en espèces ou carte bleue (nous avions choisi l'option "réservation sans carte bancaire").
A l'arrivée de l'avion à Larnaca, un employé nous attendait sur place avec un panneau portant mon nom. La prise en charge de la voiture s'est faite en 5 mn, paiement compris.
La voiture était loin d'être neuve (60000 km), avec quelques bosses et rayures, mais en parfait état mécanique.
Nous l'avons utilisé 3 semaines sans soucis.
Nous avons rendu la voiture aussi rapidement que nous l'avions réceptionné, sans même un réel contrôle visuel (de toute façon, il n'y avait pas eu non plus de véritable "état des lieux" au départ).
Bref, bon prix, voiture en bon état mécaniquement parlant, pas de mauvaises surprises, je recommande vivement !
