I had a horrible experience with this school. I would not recommend this "college" to my worst enemy. Do not trust anything Stevens-Henager College tells you. Take note all the "good" reviews are from people who were invited to leave a review.

This college and their sister company Independence University are a scam. They fill your head with these false promises that; you’ll be in a better spot career wise and that the employers value your education. In fact, they don’t. They don’t offer anything they promise, their career services is a joke. They had no resources to help with internships and getting experience and the people they do work with questioned why I was applying for a position in their business with no experience. The guarantee they gave me when I started in 2011 was “you’ll have a new job in six months”. Well, it’s been almost seven years since I’ve graduated and with what assistance they have I still have no job in my field let alone a career. I’m still in retail making the same as anyone else with only a high school diploma. And come to find out they have had their accreditation suspended and some of their Stevens Henager college campuses closed and when I confronted their career services about that they lied to my face. They are literally moving everyone from head offices of Stevens Henager college to independence university. This is only going to hurt my degrees already worthless reputation and I still get to pay those student loans they tricked me into signing. Complete waste and fraudulent company. Should be shut down and closed for good.

If there was a 0 rating I would give them that. Horrible school, horrible adminstrator. They are dishonest and are doing illegal things. Run from this place as fast as you can.

Had a client that attended & had a horrific experience. I went to head of school to get tuition back for my client, who was severely traumatized by a teacher & he essentially said, “too bad & threatened to sue if I went public.”

Had the flexibility to work two jobs. The staff was very fast with their responses to any questions or help I needed. I was always treated with the utmost respect, as if I were their only student even though I knew that wasn't the case. Ended up with a 4.0 despite the many personal obstacles sent my way because of the faith and encouragement of my professors

I'm so thankful& grateful that I have chosen Independence University. Its a wonderful College to gain a Associates degree, Bachelor's degree or your MBA so on & so forth! If youre receiving your degree online , Independence University will allow you to work on youre time , anywhere. The Staff/faculty are lovely, gracious, respectful& charismatic. They are always there for you no matter what. I recommend this school to those that are willing to better thereselves and furthering their education/careers.

The teachers, staff, all of my advisors, and the deans are so awesome! I made the right decision when I chose IU!

I enjoyed my classes for the most part. I was a bit frustrated that there were some instructors who hadn't followed the same set of instructions that we were given to learn. Examples would be teaching power point one way and displaying something different (the lengthy wordy powerpoints used by many instructors as opposed to what we learned a power point should be) and teaching how a business should be run and appearances of not following your own advice

I had good and bad experiences at this college. The good was the instructors and my fpa and career advisor. The bad was my externship advisor who was supposed to be there for me and wasnt the entire time I did my externship and at least a week before it even started. The other bad was the student loans. The loans made my graduation feel like more of a burden and when compared to other accredited colleges, they are extremely high. My family and I was anxiously waiting for them to tell me I have graduated and the financial part gave us a big let down before I even was informed of graduating. And the fact that they dont do graduations here in Texas but in other states they do. I do want to say thank you to my instructors, my fpa and my career advisor. But for future students, please shop around and dont settle because they wont stop hounding you. And record every conversation so that you have proof of there promises of what you will be owing and will have to complete in the future. I was told one amount throughout school and then it went up over $7,000 more when I did my exit paperwork. Good luck to all and you can do it!

School was good! But when it came time for the review for the TMC exam I was left in the cold and never got that extra study class. Billing should do there thing a little different! Like maybe during the school send out the bills during the school. Or for the students that make presidents list ask them if they want there award to go on the bill or to go on the tuition!

Best college ever thinking about going back

I wanted to get a degree in the healthcare field without having to spend alot of time away from my family. Stevens-Henager gave me that option and helped me achieve my ultimate goal; I now have a degree in my field of study and the residency program that went with it was phenomenal. Definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to do school from home in the healthcare field!

I had a Great learning experience at IU, the instructor are always just a phone call, text message, email away. They are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that we (the students) are learning what we need to succeed. I would recommend IU to anyone trying to further their education. I plan to go back in the near future to further my education, because thats the key to success.

It was a great experience. Everyone there was nice to me and very understanding of my situation.

Accelerated programs allow degrees to be obtained in a shorter amount of time. Professors are real employees in their field and make themselves available for help. Additional videos are available to educate students on computers and all the available resources ti complete course work.

For me, this particular experience has accelerated my well-being as "The First Summa Cumm Laude Honor Graduate" with two degrees which are Business Management and Accounting. Independence University has truly been a blessing to my life as I was able to complete my education online. Also, I am the first male college graduate in my family, community, and even made Black History this year in the Southwest GA. area so to speak. It gives me honor, love, and respect for the pioneers which paved this particular career opportunity for individuals as myself. Now I am striving to go above and beyond like never before. This humbly helps me to appreciate everything from the negative to the positive outcomes of my life. I would like to advise anyone to attend Independence University in order to guarantee an prosperous education.

One of the best schools ever. I would highly recommend this school to anyone. I miss going to school there but I have gotten my associates in a year and a half. I would like to thank all the awesome teachers and staff I will miss you all. Thank you, Sheila Farris,
