Insurance but Fair...What Rubbish!!!!
This is by far the worst insurance company I've ever been with. My first claim, which took 12 months to get a decision, was a complete disaster. After two assessors, the last one being a young woman in her 20s who used a questionable plumber to force water into the corner of our recess to make it appear as if it were leaking, they blamed us for a lack of maintenance and ultimately declined the claim. During this whole process, they even upped the premiums. Now I have two separate claims, and both are a nightmare to deal with.
The first claim is for a stolen bore pump. We have footage and a police report, yet there has been no communication since January. After a recent rain event in North Queensland, my claim was completely ignored. I chased them up multiple times, but no one responded. It's been months, and it shouldn't take this long for a response.
The second claim is for a lost solar panel due to recent weather. Once again, no communication. I can’t reach the assessor, as their number is conveniently unavailable. I can’t get through to the landline without waiting half an hour, only to be told that it's still being looked at. I’ve followed up three times via email, but there’s still been no response.
Both claims are still unresolved, and I’m done with them. I won’t be renewing my policy. They do everything they can to avoid paying out claims, and I’ll be taking this to the ombudsman. I’m tired of being ripped off!
