Saving Money…
The daily standing charge was a lot less than previous energy supplier. I shall be saving approximately £30 a month and also continue with Economy 7 hours and extra hours between 11am and 4pm on Sunday's. What's not to like, Thank you.

Switch experience update
I am pleased that a competitive offer was received and I have accepted.
Downside is that communication of change to British gas was sent by Royal Mail which is not reliable and was received almost a week after switch date. I have still to receive any information from octopus energy regarding closing balance, 2 weeks on from switch date.
I'm updating today as this has been far from a seamless transition. It's the 25/08 and yet British gas have not correctly action the closing meter readings I gave them this despite me having email confirmation from them of receipt of information. Instead they have input my electric reading as opening gas reading along with gas reading I gave them. This implies I have had a monthly gas usage in excess of 20k units! On speaking with them they tell me this will take up-to 10 days to correct, in the meantime time I cannot get a closing statement from octopus as they need last readings verified by British Gas. All whilst they apparently sit on £190 credit in my account with them. As I say far from seamless. Update 25/08/26

It was effortless I did nothing just provided the meter readings and that is it. Obviously fill the forms online and sit back and watch.

Easy switch, great deal
The switch itself was completely effortless, no issues at all. Of course, I was only switching due to the excellent offer received from Switch Together. On a kihe for like basis, I'm saving about 15% compared with my previous supplier and the best comparable deal in price comparison sites.
