I experienced what I believe to be deceptive and bad-faith practices. I was led to believe that completing the sales training would result in a job offer, but this never materialized despite months of assurances.
I first came into contact with Tony Clarke after responding to an ad on Indeed in October of 2024. The interview process went through the beginning of this year and I was told I was not selected for the position. Tony then went further to tell me there would be more hiring opportunities in May and September of this year in a conversation via Zoom on February 20th. Then in March he suggested I enroll in the sales training program and with successful completion I would be eligible for immediate hire with JPM Chase and that and my training cost would be reimbursed he also mentioned other companies with Goldman Sachs being one. Successfully completed the course at the end of May and when it came time for Tony to make good on his promise of employment the narrative continually changed and was told another training course was now implemented. Now going forward months later after being patient, understanding and supportive still no job and when I finally confronted and stated there never was a job after another narrative change I was told I would need to complete the 2nd training which did not exist in March of 2025 and employment would not be guaranteed.
Tony quickly flipped using manipulation and intimidation that I was the problem and avoided answering my questions I confronted him with from our 9 months of communication via emails and Zoom calls and shifted all of the blame onto me.
Tony should have been upfront and honest of what the circumstances were and stated this was only a training program and not make any claims of job placement and training reimbursement.
This type of business practice is nothing but misleading, deceptive and false representation. On more than one occasion he stated he had my offer letter or a contract right in front of him and one time mentioned equipment would be shipped out to me as the position was remote. He was just waiting for approval which became the reason week after week month after month.
After 9 months of communications with Tony Clarke I agree with Tony Mendiola review here dated March 17th I experienced it for myself.
