My experience at the retreat was outstanding. The staff were super knowledgeable, kind, caring and and looked after me well. The grounds are beautiful and rooms are sanctuary of peace. I would 100% recommend for anyone who needs a place to support them on there journey, it's safe and you will be well looked after.

Alvaro de Ferranti got banned Facebook for a business page for advertising 5 MEO DMT and ayahuasca retreats then went on a bizarre rampage hurling insults at others from the page. He even admitted that he had a 14 day ban for sexual solicitation and then posted he was in the naughty area. He then had my friend harassed with home visits, beig f'd with and then saying you don't know who the f you are dealing with. He posted info showing he had racked up community standards violations which got him taken off. Steer clear of this lunatic.

Thr moment I arrived o felt safe. The team paired me with an excellent therapist and guided me with so much care and professionalism throughout the entire process.

The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, yet also warm and human. The holistic care, nourishing food, incredible peaceful environment, and attention to every aspect of healing made a huge impact on me. I left feeling confident , clear and more connected to myself than I had in a long time.

It was the best place I could have chosen for my treatment. Fantastic and very caring staff, with a medical team always by my side. A very calm and peaceful environment.
I highly recommend it. It changed my life.

A few days short of my 50th birthday, I've been doing a "life review" of sorts, which among many things, included a gratitude list. And, of course, it is no coincidence that Tabula Rasa Retreat was a pivotal part of this list.

My ibogaine experience at Tabula Rasa Retreat back in 2022 was profound, but it did much more than detox me from a long-standing opiate addiction (heroin from 2000-2015, then buprenorphine from 2015-2022).

Like many people, as I researched about ibogaine, and before I decided to book my week at Tabula Rasa Retreat, I thought that all I would have to do was show up somewhere, take the ibogaine, and be magically cured of all trauma and addiction.

My ibogaine experience and the entire Tabula team showed me that, while I was not responsible for the developmental trauma I endured in childhood and adolescence, I WAS responsible for my own healing and recovery. Ibogaine works with you, but it doesn't do the work for you.

I have had many friends who have undergone ibogaine treatment in other centres, and they went in and came out believing what I initially believed: "take ibogaine, and you will be healed."

None of the treatment centres my friends went to told them what the entire team at Tabula Rasa told me even before I'd decided to book my treatment: "ibogaine is not a magic cure."

Because of this priceless information, it's now been four years, and I am still sober, and living my life to my fullest potential.

Has my recovery been easy since my treatment at Tabula?

F#$%k, no! Lol.

But now, four years later as I approach 50 years of age, I am deeply grateful for the holistic practices and tools they gave me, and for the importance of community and deep friendship they helped me nurture.

The owner of this business posted pictures of my husband on social media and made threats, inciting violence, and asking people to tell him where we live. None of this is even remotely legal, as we were witness against some of his friends in the court and it involved illegal substances. We have a lot of evidence to proof this, along with plenty of obscene emails and threats of violence. Also, the fact that his friends (convicted for sale of illegal substances) were harbored at the same center where he host his clients!

Just wanted to leave a review and an update, more than 3 years post my visit at Tabula Rasa.
I am still living sober, there have been a couple of bumps in the road, but my life is completely changed.
I am a changed person, so much more loving, patient, positive, calmer, and I actually now love and accept myself.
There is no doubt in my mind that my stay at TR was the start and catalyst to this change.
Since I was there, I started school and will soon be graduating in the health care service!
My life is 100% better and I am a better person, and the loving team at TR were the ones that helped me start my journey♥️
I am forever grateful and the profound journeys I did there, helped me get over a lifetime of trauma.
In my most vulnerable moment, crying like a baby, I was held by Alvaro and brought back to safety.

The owner of this retreat centre who is of bad integrity and dishonest, sent me some very nasty emails telling me he wished me to get cancer and die a horrible death, I should (censor) myself, and some were so bad one cannot even write the details. what they were here. The emails were sexually offensive, designed to insult and harass, and they portray the owner of the centre as mentally deranged and clearly unstable and in need of psychiatric treatment. The business lost their Facebook page over it and then went on a rage filled rant in my email inbox. Turns out Tabula Rasa isn't even legal (supplying banned substances) and his social media pages were violating community standards (for the same thing), which is why he lost them. Not my problem.

I took part in an ibogaine retreat at Tabula Rasa in 2022 and can now say with full conviction that it was one of the best decisions and most important experiences of my life.

The team was very warm and attentive, the group was pleasantly small with three other participants and the supporting programme was very appealing. I particularly enjoyed the Breathwork sessions. A great technique that I have since integrated into my everyday life. I also felt very safe and cared for at all times during the really challenging ibogaine journey.

I have left my addiction to amphetamines and nicotine behind me and mentally I have never been better in my life. The experience at Tabula Rasa was undoubtedly life-changing in the most positive sense.

I can highly recommend a retreat at Tabula Rasa.

Although it has been a year since I visited Tabula Rasa for their ibogaine treatment, I feel now is the right time to share my experience. Tabula Rasa is, without a doubt, a deeply spiritual and beautiful place—at times, it felt almost magical.

Alvaro has a clear vision and deep commitment to plant-based medicine and holistic healing, and it’s evident how much he truly cares. Despite my initial skepticism about going through with such a new and unfamiliar experience, Alvaro took a call from me on multiple occasions before I committed. He answered all my questions with patience, confidence, and compassion. At no point did I feel like I was being sold something; rather, it felt like we were mutually invested in determining whether this treatment was the right path for me.

While the retreat is rooted in holistic healing, medical safety was always the top priority. I was properly explained every part of the process by professional nurses, and never felt like my health or well-being was at risk. The accommodations and food were excellent, and the environment was incredibly nurturing—it genuinely felt like I was welcomed into a family. The week I spent there remains one of the most transformative experiences of my life. Even when things didn’t go perfectly, everyone was always quick to course-correct, ensuring my comfort and well-being above all else. Alvaro also personally followed up with me a few weeks after the treatment to check in on how I was doing.

Although addiction remains an ongoing challenge, my time at Tabula Rasa continues to stand out as a significant milestone in my recovery. It was a true breakthrough, and I frequently recommend the retreat to others without hesitation. I’m even considering returning in the near future.

I would NEVER recommend Tabula
Rasa...!! It was June-2023.. Morally I feel I have to relate this experience at Tabula Rasa=A beloved person of mine went in for an addiction recovery and we where told they had a "Medical Team" (also mentioned in the web) but only nurses are there. Like a nurse myself, we not allowed to prescribe, so when is some delicate issue or necessary intervention is needed. it is just not possible. A very precarious state was not attended properly. This is called legally "Omisión de Asistencia Médica"= Failure to assist medically. If you happen to have a look at "The Team" in the web you clearly see is no doctor..! I was nearly catching an airplane to go to pick up my boy friend because he was in a extreme worrying state, could not even be able to talk on the phone. He needed help in the nigth time, no one was there (or sleeping). he had to leave how he could calling a taxi. Also been told he could go there having as much of "stuff" he wanted, terrible advise for an addict..! Back home took a time to recover like any post-traumatic experience. Honestly...If one spends his savings and something like this happens is all a quite big deal in one´s life..!!

My time spent at one of the week long faith retreats at Tabula Rasa was absolutely transformative. The setting, staff, food and most importantly the therapeutic work done in my time there was second to none. I came out of the week feeling like a new person. This was an extremely transformative experience for me, and everyone involved was extremely gentle, sweet and attentive not only to my needs but also to my comfort.

I come to you with a message and teaching from the depths of my heart. On a scale of 0 to 9, with nine being a sacred number, I would score it as a nine out of nine. What I'm about to communicate to you is from my heart.

I've read through some of the previous reviews, and I find that some do not align with my own experience. Specifically, I refer to criticisms of the medical team at Tabula Rasa and what they should or should not have known in advance. Working with plant medicines is not a modality where we can accurately predict the outcome; every journey is entirely up to the medicine to decide.

To give you an example, I wanted to experience one particularly powerful plant medicine that has very high success rates with addicts such as myself. After extensive tests by the Tabula Rasa medical team, they deemed that a slight irregularity in my ECG meant that they were not happy with me undergoing this particular plant medicine. While Tabula Rasa wasn't the only centre I applied for, and the others were more than happy for me to undergo this particularly arduous journey, Tabula Rasa was not. They offered me an alternative, based on their experience, that would not stress my heart to quite the same extent. Although disappointed, the fact that they weren't just interested in taking my money was the deciding factor in why I chose them.
No reputable centre can ever, with any degree of accuracy, predict 100% what the outcome will be, particularly when working with plant medicines. The program they designed for me specifically took six days for the same money as it would have taken for the plant medicine I wanted, which would have taken 2 days. I'll let you do the math. I have never experienced a centre that took so much trouble to evaluate whether or not I was suitable to undergo these plant medicine treatments. I spoke at length with people from the medical team, discussing the results of my ECG, people from the emotional and psychological team, and the centre's director.

I have battled addiction to heroin, crack cocaine, amphetamines, benzodiazepines, crystal meth, alcohol, and THC for over 30 years. This is a result of an extremely traumatic and challenging childhood, as well as trauma experienced during my time in the military. My addiction was no walk in the park either; there have been numerous occasions where I woke up next to friends who overdosed and died while I was sleeping, and that is just for starters.

Before my arrival at Tabula Rasa, I was thoroughly evaluated by the medical team emotionally, spiritually, physically, and psychologically. They know exactly what they are doing. As a therapist working with trauma and addiction, there is nothing I can think of that I would do differently.
Upon arrival at Tabula Rasa, every staff member warmly greeted and hugged me, making me feel beyond welcome. I am currently writing my thesis to use psychedelics in my therapeutic work. To do that effectively, one has to be attuned to the client. It has to come from the heart. This cannot be faked because we will pick up on it energetically unless there is an authentic connection.

Plant medicines are fraught with unpredictability, and for us to surrender completely to this process, there needs to be a deep emotional, spiritual, psychological, and physical connection to the facilitator of this process. Unless authentic compassion, empathy, and attunement of the facilitators of this deeply spiritual process are authentic, no client will ever allow themselves to see the truth about who and what they are, without which, there can never be healing.

Tabula Rasa is a deeply spiritual place, which is also something that cannot be faked; it is what it is. I have been working in this field for many years, and I would have absolutely no reservations whatsoever recommending any of my clients to the warm embrace of the staff at this facility. There is no payoff for me on any level in writing a review highlighting the beauty of the staff and facilitators of this wonderful place other than to allow someone to experience the healing that I experienced.
The food was excellent, as was the accommodation. It's always important to understand where the motivation comes from to set up a business specifically designed to heal. Tabula Rasa is intrinsically motivated, meaning that it comes from within. All businesses do not exist in isolation, and for any business to be successful, they have to be able to make money. Money is a byproduct of any successful business, or it wouldn't be a business; it would be a charity. There is a saying where I come from: there are no free lunches, and you get what you paid for. I certainly got what I paid for, and I’m deeply grateful.

Everyone is incredibly kind, accommodating, and polite. Everything they did, they wanted to ensure it was 100% safe because the client's health and safety are their top priorities. If someone decides to do it, they should know they are in safe hands. If someone is skeptical about whether it's the right thing, they can be sure it is. I would recommend it to anyone struggling with addiction, but also to those who aren't but can afford to reach out and start their journey. The food is excellent, the environment is incredible, and every wish was fulfilled, with them ready to go above and beyond, even for things they weren't obligated to do.
