Customer service disappointing….

Unfortunately I am very disappointed with the customer service. Due to this experience, I won’t order again which is unfortunate as I thought I found my go-to place. I bought the motion harness for my dog. Upon receiving it, it’s not suitable for my dog. The sizing is a little strange and I’d have to have it tightened a fair amount near the neck area for it to possibly work for him and since there is no buckle for the neck, I’d have to tighten and loosen it every time, which is not reasonable. I tried to first exchange it, they said I could try their other type harness. But to do that, I had to pay $15 fee just to send it back for exchange. But not guaranteed that the new harness would be suitable either (and then require more money to send back). So instead, I requested a refund to send it back. They said that I could do the refund but it had to be in unworn, unscented, new condition. And that shipping for a refund would be $25 plus $2 to process the refund. I’m not sure how I’m supposed to know it’s not suitable for my dog if he doesn’t try it on. It’s still in brand new condition but I was terrified they’d come up with some reason they couldn’t do the return considering how they seemed so eager to continue to get money from me. Additionally, you have 30 days from the day of purchase to process these things, not 30 days from delivery. In my case, it said I had expedited shipping of 1-2 days at the time of order for placing such a big order, then at the time of shipment it said 1-7 days for shipping, but I didn’t get it until 22 days after I placed my order. So I was already on limited time and the enticement to order more to get free shipping didn’t make sense if it took that long (I’m fine with waiting on products normally, but this whole experience made it worse).

Now I have a harness I can’t use and can’t return without paying another half the price of the harness. I love promoting brands on our dog Instagram account and was excited to do so, especially for the cause that they support, but I am so disappointed in this customer service… and therefore so sad that I won’t be ordering again or promoting/recommending as a result of this.

Great Customer Service!

Everything was perfect.

I am very satisfied with my first purchase from TagsforHope.
It took me about 3 weeks to get my order, but it is definitely worth the wait. The production itself takes time, but once it’s done, the delivery is fast.
The quality of their products is really good, and they have a lot of cute seasonal patterns and designs.
They also have a very responsive and nice client support team.

Finally, the fact that they support animals in need was one of the main factors that made me purchase from them.

Highly recommend TagsforHope and will buy from them again myself.

Best value for your money

There is nothing negative I could possibly say about the company or the leash. All they wanted was cost of shipping the second leash and we were able to keep. Also to note the leashes are great quality too, very strong and beautiful design.

Victorian drivers licence tag.

Over the years I have bought numerous TagsforHope tags and I have never been disappointed. They are made from the best quality and have a lifetime guarantee which the company has came good on more than once, replacing my tags when my dogs have destroyed them playing. I'm forever getting stopped in the street and being asked about them as they look exactly like our drivers licences here in Vic, Australia and everyone loves them. Including me.

Highly recommended!!!

I am very happy with the new set I got for my puppy!! It’s comfy for him and me! Came in the mail very quickly, I messaged their customer service team and they were very responsive, helpful and friendly! Highly recommended shopping with them!

Such a treat to deal with competent, caring and dedicated staff. I inadvertently sent them on a wildfire goose chase, but they were professional and succinct when yielded nothing.

Love tags for hope products

Love tags for hope products. Second time ordering. Beautiful collars and tags and amazing selection. Nice this is a Canadian company. The cute mailer envelope and the personal made for sticker on the wrapping of the collar are such a nice touch!

Awesome customer service and support

I wanted to surprise my granddaughter and best friend with a tag. Unfortunately I made a address error on both Orders. With only 1 email , my mistake was updated. And I received emails from customer service almost immediately after I informed Tags for Hope of the error. That is awesome customer service and support.

Five Stars!

The quality in the collars and seatbelts are amazing. I have yet to have a collar that snags, rips or tears. Have been ordering them for two years. Shipping is also pretty quick and there are so many styles to choose from. Love every purchase thus far!

EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!I had a very good experience with Tags for Hope years ago when I ordered a tag for my dog, Reverri, which is why I chose to use them again.

Unfortunately, this time the experience has been extremely frustrating.

After moving from Arizona to Oregon, I needed to order a new Oregon tag for Reverri. Their website was incredibly difficult to navigate and turned into a rabbit hole of forms and steps that were not intuitive at all. I repeatedly tried to get help, but customer support responses came only about once a week and were very vague. Each reply simply told me to “click a button” that I had already explained — and even shown in screenshots — that I was clicking, with nothing happening.

After several days, I finally managed to get the site to work on my own and completed the order. However, when I received the order confirmation email — which arrived immediately after I clicked “Place Order” — I saw that my shipping address was incorrect because my talk-to-text changed “Ash Meadows” to “Ash MEDALS.” Even more concerning, the billing address shown was my old address in Arizona.

The confirmation email said that if the information was incorrect, I should click a link to fix it. When I clicked that link, I received an error message that simply said, “Sorry, something went wrong,” and nothing else. I tried multiple times with the same result.

I emailed the company again immediately, clearly explaining that the address was wrong and asking for it to be corrected. I received no response — yet the money was taken out of my bank account right away.

At this point, the only solution I can think of is sending emails repeatedly just to get someone’s attention, which should never be necessary for a simple address correction.

I’m very disappointed, especially since I had a positive experience with this company in the past. This process has been stressful, time-consuming, and unnecessarily difficult, with poor communication and no resolution so far.

Great experience!!

My story begins shortly before Black Friday. I initially ordered two Christmas collars for my pups and when I placed the order, it said "will ship by 12/2" but 12/2 came and went with no update. I emailed customer service and they apologized for the delay, the sale was a lot more popular than expected. They then expedited both the processing and shipping of my order.

We were thrilled with the product so we decided to order 2 more collars and harnesses during their Valentine's Day preorder and then later decided to add on leashes. I reached out to see if I could just add on the leashes to my order, but it wasn't that simple since another payment would be needed. I went ahead and placed a new order, but when the representative I was working with noticed, she not only refunded me the additional shipping fee I paid, but also found a way to combine the orders so that everything will ship together. I love the mission Tags for Hope has and will likely continue purchasing my pet needs from them!

Not recommended

So their stuff is expensive but I liked their mission. I ordered my dog, a Martingale collar and tag that matched. When it got here, it was the weirdest Martingale collar I’ve ever seen and it was way too heavy for a schnauzer. I reached out to them telling them I’d like to return it and after a few days they responded. I wrote back and told them that I didn’t want to exchange it for a different collar. I didn’t like their Martingale collars, and a few days went by and today I finally heard from them again. The response, even though I spent almost $60 US they would offer me a $14 credit. That really didn’t make a lot of sense. The other option was to send the tag back and then I would be charged Canadian duty so they again did everything they could to get me to not return the collar. So I wrote them back and told them I really had hoped to like the product I wasn’t trying to get something free from them, the collar just doesn’t work for my dog, and using the Canadian duty as a reason not to return it made no sense since the item was actually not shipped from Canada when I received it. I felt misled by this company, and I will just get rid of the collar and never do business with them again. I’ve never had a single dog company that won’t take an item back for a refund, but clearly they have no interest in making sure their customers are happy. A bit surprised a Canadian company was so bad at customer service but lesson learned.

We are so sorry for the trouble. We are going to go ahead and fully refund you the collar. We just ask if instead of throwing the collar out, if you could please donate it to your local shelter. They would really appreciate it and it would make a poor doggy happy at the shelter!

You should see the funds back in your account in a few days.

In regards to our martingale, we would really appreciate if you could please email our team and just let us know what you mean by it being weird? It's a very standard martingale design, and we have had thousands upon thousands of happy customers purchase it and never heard this before!

You did get the Ultimate Buckle though which is definitely heavy duty and more for bigger dogs. I would highly recommend going with the plastic buckle next time. It's much lighter and is very effective.

In regards to the Canadian customs shipping, due to the trade war between Canada and the US, it is indeed very difficult and expensive to ship products back to us. All of our products are made in Canada and are shipped from our Canadian factory. If you look at the FedEx tracking you will actually see that it does come from Canada. So we are not trying to deceive any of our amazing customers. We are working to solve this problem by opening a local warehouse in the US though, so hopefully in the future returns would be much easier for our customers.

Although leaving a review like this does hurt our mission, we still do appreciate your feedback and we will do everything we can to make you happy.

My go to forever

Just received my second order from them and I am so happy. Yes, it is a little more expensive, but , remember that part of it is to help animals in need and the quality is wayyyyy up there. I had to contact them for an error in my son's dog name and they were very fast to answer and the tag arrived corrected. I will keep ordering from them forever.

Super Quality

I bought a harness, an 8 foot leash, 2 name tags and 2 super cute bandanas. I could not be happier. I was not sure which size and type of harness to buy. I called the company, and they helped me decide what I needed. The quality of every item is very good, material as well as workmanship. Both handles on the leash are soft and well padded.
I am particularly happy with the harness as my strong Bernedoodle had not learned leash walking all that well. It has improved immensely with this harness.
I highly recommend this company. I would give 6 stars if I could.

AVOID AT ALL COST - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Their stuff might be cute but you can find cuter stuff elsewhere and get treated better as a customer.

I placed two orders on the same day. One qualified for free shipping, and the other didn't (I had a store credit and they don't let you combine coupon codes), so I paid a shipping fee. They shipped both orders together in one package, meaning the “separate” shipping I paid for never happened.

When I contacted them for a simple shipping fee refund, I expected a straightforward resolution. Instead, I received a reply full of excuses and guilt-tripping. They wrote, “While we combined your orders into one package, the shipping cost is actually calculated by weight… we still paid a higher rate to the courier than a single order would normally cost.” That’s a cost of doing business, not a reason to keep a shipping fee for a service that wasn’t provided.

They then pivoted to keeping a tally of past discounts, saying they had given me “over $90 in value for free” in the last three months - most of which was the store credit that I received. Also, let's be real - their stuff is overpriced and they give everyone a 20% discount to make their customers feel like they got something for cheaper when their stuff should've been priced lower to begin with.

Most disturbingly, they tried to make me feel guilty for even asking, writing, that I would be "directly taking away from their care, which would be deeply unfair.” Leveraging the plight of animals to pressure a customer into dropping a valid complaint is manipulative and inappropriate. Also, let me be clear - I support local rescues and my own pup and cat are rescues. But, using them as a manipulative tactic is not appropriate.

The overall tone was very condescending, minimizing my concern as “just $5” and implying I should be grateful for their past generosity LOL. I'd rather make my own donations than trust these sketchy people who claim that they donate to rescues. Do they even have proofs that they make such donations?

After this experience, it’s clear that if there’s ever an issue with an order, they will make excuses, guilt-trip the customer, and avoid accountability. I will not be ordering again, and I will be sharing this experience with other pet owners and rescues I work with.

IF YOU HAVE ISSUES, FILE A CHARGEBACK WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY. DON'T LET THIS MANIPULATIVE BUSINESS TAKE YOUR MONEY AWAY.

The only thing worse than their…

The only thing worse than their customer service is their delivery service. Ordered a leash and harness to be delivered to my business address, order was shipped with dragonfly, who apparently cannot deliver to a business park during business hours. I have spent hours on the phone with the delivery company only to be told that delivery during business hours is not possible. And when I reached out to customer service I was told they’ve done their part by getting it to the delivery company and it’s my responsibility to figure out how to get it from the delivery company. I’ve paid $100 for a leash and harness that apparently neither Tags for Hope nor Dragonfly care if I’ll ever receive. Simple resolution here was to have package returned and reshipped with a carrier who can deliver to a business, but that was asking too much. Apparently their motto is we’re not happy until you’re not happy. This is the second and last time I will ever order anything from this company.
