It was hard to decide what rating to give, since the meals themselves are very good. There’s a good range, the nutrition is on point and they taste great.

If the customer service and packaging matched the quality of the food this would be a 5 star review. But I’ve received multiple meals with broken packaging, which affects how long the food stays fresh. This week it was the creamed spinach side in one meal — I had to check each one to figure out which was causing the bad odour in my fridge!

And it’s almost impossible to get a response by email. I’ve emailed the hello@tastily inbox twice now and have received no answer.

So overall, food great, value for money okay, but service and packaging are poor.

I have received 3 orders so far and overall I have been very happy with what I have received.

There was a slight issue with my second order which was resolved satisfactorily and I noticed that the additional discount I was due to receive hadn't been applied to one of my orders but I discovered that I just needed to put the code in again and it worked (the discount was automatically added to my 2nd order so I didn't realise I needed to do that).

I have been happy with the quality and selection of the meals and I love how easy they are to cook.

I have tried ready made meals before and been disappointed with them. So its a great surprise to finally find a company who provide high quality food. The food is simple to prepare and the taste is of a high quality. I am an endurance athlete so the quality of food is important to me and Tastily fits the bill. The website needs some improvement but when having any queries Tastily are quick to respond and provide a satisfactory response.

It is confusing when the wrong packaging is used for meals. I send them to my elderly parents and this week two of the meals had the wrong label on the sides.

Please reduce the use of chilli in dressings, it is appearing even when not indicated in the main menu selection.

It is easy to order and also change the menu when needed.

A great variety of chef-designed meals, nutritionally balanced and prepared with care. Packaging is sustainable and travels well, food is chilled and lasts as long as it should. Website is efficient and easy to navigate. Only downside is its pricy delivery fee which pushes the overall value for money on par with its other competitors

The meals are really tasty. The ever changing variety is fantastic and if you forget to put in your weekly order, then a selection is picked for you based on your tastes. So you’re not getting the same meals every week.
Some meals are quite inventive, like “burnt ends” or “macaroni and cheese with ham hock”! They taste great.
For the price, a regular portion looks a little small, but all meals are filling.
Some meals have a ‘side’ of vegetables, which on occasion is just a chunk or two of e.g. a courgette, with no sauce or spice, which feels a little basic.
I also feel there is a limited amount of vegetarian dishes, and the ones that are available seem small for the same price as meat dish.
Overall I enjoy the convenience of not having to prepare a lunch for work and the attention made to calorie content means it feels better than getting a meal deal.

I have used Gousto, Hello Fresh and Prep Kitchen for extended periods over the past few years but am so happy I finally found Tastily. It is in a league of its own with meals that not only look and taste good but are healthy. The menu selection is mouth-watering and being ready in a few minutes it is ideal for someone who doesn't have time to cook every evening so forms a significantly better alternative for me than a takeaway. Thanks guys!

Best box food we’ve had. Tried 18 different boxes, all tasty, quality and with tons of protein. Not super low calories, but well balanced. Highly recommended!

The quality of the food is very high, I am yet to find a meal I haven't enjoyed and the selection is fantastic! My only improvemtn could be better packing of the food for delivery but I haven't had anything that was seriously damaged!

Very disappointed, portion sizes are child sized, by the time you’ve heated it up mostly it’s an unrecognisable mush and there’s nothing special about the flavours either. By the time it’s delivered it’s all squished in one side of the box also

I expected so much better. The food was quite, quite below standard if I'm being kind. Flavours were non existent, every dish had a ton of gross mucky water being released on heating in the microwave. Veggies were terribly treated, they were just dumped into each dish without being cooked appropriately. The meat was the only barely acceptable portion, however it was just cooked fine nothing great apart from that.

Overall, I'm very very disappointed with the quality of the meals. I expected a lot more from the pictures and marketing assets you put out, but that's just the dishes being shot fresh and in great lighting. Nothing like the food you actually end up receiving.

I recently started up my subscription to tastily again and boy was i disappointed, previously was amazing food, portions to big but amazing quality and very very tasty. The ones I received where so so different than previously purchased. The meat was very small portions and lower quality for a premium service and the overall taste, packing and size has greatly diminished. I feel very sad as this was my gonto company when my diet needed an overhaul. I hope it returns to previous standards.

The packaging is really nice and very presentable. However, all the food I've had so far has been bland... This is a big no for us. We have tried other companies like Simmer, and they were able to do non-bland food yet still heatlhy, so I hope Tastily can step up their game. We would probably go back to Simmer now.

I have had the great pleasure in receiving my order from Tastily and have to say what a very pleasant change it is, for a company to do exactly as they say they will and in fact surpass it. As soon as the order arrived I immediately checked the ingredients, expecting the normal list of chemicals and at last, a meal cooked exactly as we would make at home. No chemicals, additives or preservatives. I also requested large and was equally impressed by a generous size meal laden with vegetables that didn't require a miracle to raise them from the dead and in fact appeared hale, hearty and which were very tasty. I have no problem in recommending Tastily to anyone who, for what ever reason is looking for (finally) home cooked meals without the effort. Long may they put other 'prepared meals' to shame. My congratulations Tastily

We use these as a family of 3 the variety is good and for the most part to all our tastes and liking

The food quality is 1-3 stars, depending on what you order. And their customer service is on the same level. We tried to cancel or order several days in advance, instead they forced their way, and said that we had to accept the food.

The chicken that was inside their foods had a foul taste. Not sure what this is about but it's awful and makes us not want to get close to eating their food.

It's the type of company that you will regret doing business with.

Website not fit for purpose. Have to email every single time to either manually adjust an order that's impossible to do online because it's broken or to ask for money back that their website has shown as discounted on the screen but not applied to my order. There's no proof of it going wrong either: you don't get email confirmations with your food order and the amount chargeable, so it's your word versus theirs regarding what their online portal is telling you. Last week, my screen told me something completely different to what their staff seem to think I should be charged. I WROTE IT DOWN! (because no 'this is your updated order' comes through)

This has happened four times. My first four orders.

The food is mostly okay, I can take it or leave it, but my partner really likes the gluten free variety. Their customer service reps are trying to do their best, but they're annoyingly constantly appearing in my Facebook newsfeed with sponsored adverts, all the while their website cannot function properly with the customer base it already has.

Look after the customers you already have before you start trying to take on more?

I'm one more mistake away from walking and never looking back, which is a shame, because it's a good concept, fairly priced, and the other half is enjoying the variety.
