The program is meh, it’s easy to click through so there’s that but it’s not the most valuable once you’re in the classroom. If it was just that I’d probably give 3 stars.
But aside from the course work itself the entire company is such a mess I cannot tell you to run fast enough. Any sort of communication is a nightmare and if you need any sort of documentation from them within less than 2 weeks, no you don’t. And even that takes multiple phone calls that each take over 30 mins from holding to even get a human to them “trying”(??) to resolve your issue. Some people are better than others but apparently all the departments only email each other so literally nothing will ever get done with urgency. You will never actually get to speak to a supervisor so don’t bother (they probably wouldn’t even be helpful anyway). Nicole Lorenzo sent me an email saying she provided my documentation. It wasn’t attached. I spent hours on and off the phone getting it fixed. After mine came through she sent my spouse an email with the exact same thing, no attachments. Now it’s hours later and still no resolution.

I started the program in 2016, took a pause, then finished it and started teaching in 2019. Sitting here in August of 2025 telling you it has been this way the entire time. Do not give this company your time or money. Save your mental health.

(Also depending where you look it’s Texas Teachers or Teachers of Tomorrow, but it’s the same company, and it’s a nightmare.)

IT TAKES A VILLAGE, OUTSTANDING TEAM
I was so uncertain of how to start my teacher training and teachers of tomorrow made the process so easy. The advisors in the Texas district are awesome. I applied for a grant from Workforce Developement Office in my Local County and they Grant paid for the entire program. I then set a schedule to attack the program modules with ZEST. I really only needed help learning how to navigate the first class. Once I started I was well aware of how to meet the expectations of he Canvas Online Program. I took notes and passed every formative assessment which prepared me very well for the summative assessment. The best advice I can give anyone is trust the process and start the program. It is an excellent Certification Program and I feel prepared to enter the classroom and do my best work ever!!!

Program advisors Kareem Merchant, Megan Donahue, and Brittany have all been OUTSTANDING to work with. They have all helped me every step of the way navigating the program. If I have a question I can always count on them to quickly answer it. They go above and beyond! They are kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Thank you!

Participating in the Teacher of Tomorrow program has been a transformative step in my journey as an educator. From the moment I began the coursework, I found the program to be both rigorous and supportive—providing the foundational tools I needed to transition into the classroom with confidence.

The curriculum was thoughtfully designed to balance theory with practice. Modules on classroom management, differentiated instruction, and instructional design were especially impactful, equipping me with strategies I now use daily. I appreciated how the program emphasized not only academic success but also the social-emotional well-being of students—an approach that aligns with my personal values as a teacher.

My field experience and ongoing feedback helped refine my teaching style and prepared me for the real challenges educators face in today’s classrooms. The support from advisors and instructors made a noticeable difference—they were not just evaluators, but advocates who genuinely cared about my growth.

Thanks to Teacher of Tomorrow, I now hold a professional teaching certificate and have stepped into my teaching role with the skills, knowledge, and heart needed to make an impact. I am proud to be a product of this program and would recommend it to any aspiring educator ready to commit to the calling of teaching.

Worse program to join. Stay away from this program. Their advisor has no clue how to help the program. They are not very helpful in your journey to become a teacher. They usually put you on hold if they don't know the answer.

This is my second review for this organization. I have received three additional calls from the advisor team. Because my undergraduate transcript did not specifically list a GPA, I had to get a letter sent from the university specifically listing the GPA. Seems strange, since simple math would generate the same result. The advisor team received the requested letter last Friday, but because the transcript team has not yet processed it, not sure what that means, we still cannot move forward. I am supposed to receive an email to establish a time for a more meaningful conversation once the transcript team has processed my GPA letter.

I was so upset, frustrated and confused, she succeed to guide me calmly and patiently step by step, explaining to me for more than 40 minutes what to do through all required modules and all the program.
By the end she succeeded to make me lough and feeling comfortable. It is a sincere authentic review about a so professional and kind lady.

Long term substitute teachers can get 15 of their FBE hours for being long term subs. However, I am a full-time employed teacher and CAN NOT receive any FBE hours. Even though I have others coming to observe and learn from me. I talked to multiple people and received different answers so it seems like they are still figuring out the program.

Teachers of Tomorrow is not a good program choice if you are adding to your certificate instead of starting from scratch. While I was in the program, I provided proof of a current certificate and transcripts of my college work, and they refused to acknowledge them and provide credit for me, so I had to repeat many courses that I had already completed. Then, months later, they emailed me to let me know that I could opt out of many classes that I already took. This happened with observations as well, initially requiring me to complete 7 observations to add my endorsement, then, after I completed 5 observations, they contacted me to let me know I only needed 2.

I was successful in completing my certificate, but it was an arduous, obnoxious process where TOT was not helpful in any part.

Additionally, I communicated with my advisors that I only wanted to be contacted by email, and I continued to receive many calls, multiple times a week, updating me on my progress, or just to "check in."

I do not recommend this program.

Be prepared to Fail observation hours because you don’t memorize students names. I didn’t fail Any assignments throughout the course until I got to the stupid observation hours. Complete waste of time. They make you redo the hours if you miss out on some BS like that.

I have yet to start the job; I will begin on January 6, 2024. they have already taken money out of my account after calling over 20 times because no one in Arizona answered the phone. These dings tell me it does matter because I have the job, and we can start charging you the 420 before you start your position. They overdraft my account, and they do not care. Next, I had a guy call me about field experience, and I told him that I had yet to start the job; he said his records said that I had a job and had to have this done or I would be kicked out of the program.

TERRIBLE!!! Constantly given different information. Every time I finish what they tell me to do they end up saying there’s some new requirement or something has changed that forces me to do even more never ending work. I have a job and they made dealing with this much harder than it needs to be! Their infrastructure also is horrible. I’ve had to rewatch hour long videos for overrating hours because their website doesn’t save that I watched it even after following their specific rules. They also have typos in their questions and just generally seems so unprofessional. Also, every time I call them I swear it’s the same person with the same accent but they just change their name for every call. Just super suspicious. Go somewhere else please!!!! I’m trying to see if I can get my money back ):

Monica Smith deserves a raise!
Since February, I have been in a battle between Texas Teachers and my previous EPP. My previous EPP apparently only keeps records for five years at a time, which makes no sense to me. So, when it came down to completing my transfer form, they were able to complete all of it except one simple checkbox. Texas Teachers could not accept the form as incomplete, and my previous EPP could not provide the needed information. After dozens of phone calls and emails between myself, Texas Teachers, my previous EPP, and even TEA, I was at a standstill. Through the emails and phone calls, I had been told thirty different things that all boiled down to the fact that I might not be able to become a teacher at all.
From the moment she answered the phone, I could tell she cared. After I gave her the same backstory that I had to give all the others, she seemed genuinely invested. She then told me that she was going to work a little on the back end and that she would call me back. A few hours went by, and I went back to work, subbing with my phone in my pocket and one AirPod in my ear. The end of the school day came and I was quite irritated. Monica called me a couple of hours later with some unexpected news. She single-handedly fixed the problem. She called my previous EPP, and in what one can only assume is “Monica Magic,” fixed it. And I am so grateful!! Monica has no idea how much she has helped me. I am so excited to be able to take my next steps. Thank you, Monica!!

An absolute joke! Please don't apply with these people. They should be shut down. I would give no stars but I had to at least give one. They are misleading, awful at communicating, and unsupportive. Worst of all their "advisors" are nothing more than call representatives selling a pitch to you. This is not a program that betters you or helps you become a teacher. Instead, it's a parasite wanting to suck you for more money. In addition, if you have a learning disability they will not accommodate and nor will Pearson.. they don't abide by what they are teaching! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PROGRAM TO ANYONE!!!! My college advisor recommended I apply here, I'm calling them back and telling them not to advise other students to come. They ruined my job opportunity instead of helping me obtain it... this is a program not to keep funding...

Sin, my advisor, was exceptional in every way. She went above and beyond to provide me with necessary information, patiently guiding me through my next steps, and made me feel truly valued. Her dedication and follow up are remarkable. I’m excited and confident to embark on my next step of my teaching journey.

This program is perfect for working professionals like me, who need the flexibility the program offers, in order to pursue becoming a certified teacher.

My experience with Michelle from the Ohio branch of Teachers of Tomorrow was nothing short of excellent. Teachers of Tomorrow has given me the ability to have my dream job, so I will always be extremely grateful for it! I do not have experience with other alternative certification programs, but I can say that my experience was smooth and relatively easy. I especially appreciated the program's help when it comes to job searching.
