Tesco order for Christmas

Tesco order - Here we go again, I ordered a Turkey & Ham in early December for Christmas from Tesco in Dublin to be delivered on 23/12 and I got an email on 23/12 to say the ham won't be delivered and is not available!!!!! I rang up to complain and try and sort out but I was just quoted the T&C's from a rude representative, I asked to speak to a manager but surprise surprise none was available!!! This has got to be the worst service I have ever experienced

Disgraceful

Hi,

I attended your Artane Castle, Dublin store yesterday. At 4pm I was beside two staff members and want to raise a complaint about one.

Roisín who I believe to have been in charge of the opening and closing of different tills, was horrible. I have never witnesed anyone be so humiliated in how she spoke to a man called Patrick.

My understanding is that Patrick closed his til at 4pm and Roisín said he shouldn't have done that until she took him off the till. I want to be clear it was 4pm. Regardless of what happened and who was right or wrong, Roisín had no excuse to speak to Patrick in the way she did. She should not be on the shop floor of she cannot communicate professionally and respectfully to everyone. And she shouldn't hold any level of responsibility if she cannot manage her frustrations.

Patrick stood and listened and tried to explain. Eventually after a couple of minutes of being shouted at, he was frustrated and trying to offer an explanation. In doing so he was then accused of shouting (to be clear, Roisín was speaking much louder than him). He then tried to walk.away - something I think Roisín should have done - and she roared at him "don't you walk away from me Patrick". At this point i walked over and explained I had witnessed the whole thing and it was her that was in the wrong. She proceeded to try tell me there was issues previously and I said i had no interest. There is still no excuse to speak to someone how she had. I also said that if I had been spoken to how she spoke to Patrick, I'd have responded in the same way.

Patrick seemed grateful to have been shown support. Roisín rang a manager and immediately tried to get her version of events across to him. There was now four staff members engaging in what can onky be described as schoolyard dramatics. I stepped out of the line to ensure he had a balanced view of what had happened. When I offered him the same explanation, he was dismissive and said i just follow the customer service email to complain. He was not interested.

Additionally another young woman, short and stout with blonde hair, came to me in the queue in a hysterical state to tell me "i have no idea what goes on". I, again, told her I wasn't interested.

What I saw unfold can only be described as a witch hunt. Nobody gave that man a minute to explain himself and were clearly basing their justification on something that happened prior. I also hold a view that they felt so comfortable speaking to Patrick in the way she did because he is a man of colour and didn't speak the greatest English. He couldn't get a word in and if someone had been able to articulate themselves better, Roisín wouldn't have been so confident - when she was faced with me she turned visibly red as she realised I had witnessed it all.

Roisín is a liability to Tesco. I am willing to take this complaint further if I do not get an explanation and assurances that Patrick has not been reprimanded for what unfolded yesterday. It is Roisín who should be removed from her role and hold her head in shame for humiliating someone in that way. The manager should equally be provided strong feedback about how he runs his store and being so dismissive of a customers concerns. The other lady shouldn't be working there either if she can't manage her reactions.

All in all, that place is chaotic and unprofessional and you will have a case for race discrimination on your hands if it's not sorted.

Shameful online 'support'

Shameful online 'support'. Was overcharged cause of problem on app not giving clubcard prices, but might as well have talked to the dog for all the common sense there. 1 or 2 good customer service assistants are drowned out by the majority of rude and unprofessional 'support'. Lost a customer.

Rude Managers / Zero Customer Satisfaction

Went into the Kilkenny express store on Monday 16th and wanted to avail of the 3 for 10 euro, went to the self service check out and it didn't show 10 euro so scanned my club card again didn't show 10 euro so called the young female staff member and she said maybe the item is not part of the deal, I said follow me, showed her each shelf where the items were and one shelf was the pork chops about 8 packets and the girl said yeah that's strange but that lady over there on the phone will be able to help, I wouldn't use the word help and her in a sentence! so I waited until she finished her call which was about 8 minutes, and then she looked at everything and said I don't think the pork chops are part of the offer again I said follow me, she then said the sign says they are but its a different pork chop to which I said show me? she couldn't, then said maybe a customer placed them there, I said all 8 packets are you serious? Then said choose another item I said what's supposed to happen here is you acknowledge the sign and what I'm supposed to get she kept saying you will have to choose another item. She kept then talking in my face and I just kept saying what ever as she blatantly couldn't care less. This is where it gets interesting, the app shows the pork shops as part of the offer and also I emailed their support team on Monday and got the reply back on Tuesday saying they will check it out and to wait 24-48hrs, that passed and I emailed again, again they stated 24-48hrs but are following up on the issue, then Friday 20th Dec again I emailed them they got back to me they keep saying they have emailed the Kilkenny store but have I heard anything back? Zero! but apparently I need to wait 48hrs again. You can see the level of customer support is non existent here and for such a big company I would of assumed they would look after their customers but zero regard to any of them and I am not surprised there is allot of negative reviews here.

So sick of Tesco Delivery service

So sick of Tesco Delivery service. They have the cheek to put on their vans and advertisements that they train their pickers to pick the freshest of products. Yeah right. I’m constantly getting products that are almost out of date. And they cant substitute simple things like toilet roll!! How can you not find a substitute for 🧻??

Girl called Jenney was there at the customer helpdesk today. Needed to exchange my son's jacket which we bought on November 8th from Tesco Doddsborough , Dublin , due to child's sensory issues. We had misplaced the original bill. While the other staffs were adamant saying exchange can not be made, Jenney nicely hanged on there and arranged someone to retrieve the bill from the system using the transaction details I had from November 8th on my mobile banking app. Finally exchange was made. Kudos to you Jenney. Keep up the good work.

Disgraceful shop terrible experience

Went In to buy some things today and they didn’t have any so I tried leaving through self checkout and explained I wasn’t buying anything and they told me I need permission from customer service to leave. Can’t believe this disgraceful way they are running things now. Will be taking my business else where so I’m not treated like a prisoner

Tesco owe me money! “Every Little Helps!”

My husband decided to return a fresh pineapple at the door on a home delivery, because most of the top had been sliced and therefore it was in very poor condition. The delivery man argued with him about taking it back. My husband stood his ground and eventually the delivery man appeared to issue a refund on his machine. However I have not yet received the refund into my account.
A glass jar of low salt Anchovy stuffed olives, was substituted with a tin of the same . It is recommended that I do not eat from tins , as I have an extreme allergy to nickel. We tried to return this product by waving with the tin at the door, but the delivery man drove off.
The Gluten Free Sourdough Baguette was not available.

It's hilarious to think all over the…

It's hilarious to think all over the country they can tell the difference between a 16/17 year old buy drink or tobacco to a 25 year old..... but in bailieborough co county cavan they can't, it's annoy at 30 years of age I've to show my ID to someone that's 18 years of age when I clearly look and speak of a 30 year old who's smoked for 10 years I get been vigilant but that's taking the piss!!

Visited Tesco portlaoise in the…

Visited Tesco portlaoise in the shopping centre was buying a 50 inch tv the day before I pulled muscles in my chest I asked a member of staff for help to get it to the till and maybe help to my car which I was refused I was told there was no flatbed trolley to help that I had to drag it myself I went to the desk said what happened still no help offered I work in retail myself so returned with a member of staff from where I work who was capable of helping me when we returned to get the tv we where approached by a member of staff who tryed to be intimidating by asking what happened then as I was talking trying to talk over me then told there looking on there CCTV to see did I ask the member of staff the cctv thing I something I want to look more into but worst experience I ever had in a shop customer service at a all time low I left my name and number to be contacted by customer service manager never bothered. Calling so I see where the bad customer service comes from steer well clear bad customer service worst people in place to deal with the problem if there was a 0 stars I give it

I lost my phone in Nutgrove

I lost my phone in Nutgrove, I went back to the store and the security guy on the entrance could not have been more helpful as I thought it might been stolen he went back on the camera and was able to tell me I had it in the store and it seemed like I put it into a Dunnestores bag then after a bit of checking I went to the guy on the trolleys (iJonathan ) in the car park he had found it in a trolley and had handed it in to the security office. He was so helpful telling me where to go etc. my faith was restored 100% my those 2 staff members of Tesco. Well done Tesco for employing such helpful and honest staff. 5 stars.

Extremely Rude Staff named Sandra on Balbriggan Tesco.

I recently bought a pair of discounted leggings at Tesco and asked the cashier if I could exchange them if they didn’t fit. She assured me it would be fine with a receipt. However, when I returned to exchange them for a larger size, Sandra, the customer service rep, was shockingly rude and unhelpful. She dismissed my request, was abrupt, even threw the items back at me, and refused to process the exchange.

After nearly an hour of back-and-forth and asking for a manager, another employee stepped in, apologized, and completed the exchange without any issue. I’ve always had positive experiences with Tesco’s staff in Balbriggan, but Sandra’s behavior was disappointing and unprofessional.

Check your receipts.

On my last two visits to Tesco Artane I've been charged higher prices than those displayed. First time I was charged €5 for bulbs that had a price of €4.50. It seems the bulbs that the price was for were out of stock so they put different bulbs on the shelf but didnt change the price. I ended up being charged over 10% more than the price advertised. Today I was charged €3.15 for butter with a €1.30 club card price. Again, the butter that should have been there was out of stock and replaced with a double size of the same butter which was not on offer. So instead of €1.30 for 200g it was €3.15 for 400g. Or over 21% higher than the advertised price. I only copped these because I was doing a small shop and knew my bill was way too high. Shame on you Tesco for ripping off your customers in this manner.

Hi, just want to thanks the lady and gent on the phone stand today, at Tesco, Airside, Swords, Dublin, really helped an elderly lady out when I needed a new phone and made the move over easy for me really appreciated their help today.

Useless customer service

Driver forgot my freezer goods. Had left our house (easy mistake, it happens). Contacted customer support to say he never handed in the box of freezer produce in error. Refused to help quoting GDPR - My wife ordered the shop this morning before leaving on a flight. Explained to customer service Im house bound with illness with 4 children. I explained I'm logged into my wife's account on our PC . There was no way to she could call as was on a flight. Told I could email my query in. A simple call to the driver would have resolved the issue. Told couldn't help due to GDPR which is completely incorrect. There was no account information to be given over, no breach of GDPR, no information was sought etc. it was explained it was tesco maynooth driver. A simple call from customer service to the driver would have resolved the issue straight away without causing me grief and wasting everyone's time. Two calls to customer service and both agents were less than useless. The tesco driver even gave out when he came back to me some time later as he spotted the mistake on his last delivery, thus wasting his time (for the record he made the mistake but was nothing short of a gent apologizing). Would have saved him the time (I called within two mins of him leaving) and saved me the anxiety, anger and outright frustration dealing with useless customer service had a simple call been made. Will not be using tesco delivery ever again. Have left Google reviews outlining the above information. Train your staff better. Simply not good enough
