I joined the 'Empath closing School' program in November 2024, and was certified and accredited a few months later, after completing the online training and learning course.

I have since secured a fantastic high earning position (I have earned over $2,000 in commission this week over 4 days, and expect to earn at least $11,000 for the last 4 week period) which Lara and James put me forward for and helped me secure an interview. To be absolutely clear, I would not have secured this position without the training, support, and advice from Lara and her amazing team at the 'Empath Closing School'.

I come from an educational background and have been teaching for over 20 years. I worked in the classroom but there was always a lot of preparing, planning, reporting and managing, then I moved to teaching online and unfortunately after 8 years with the same company the pay was just too low and not sufficient without having to do more hours. I felt the time had come to take more control of my life and do something different. I came across The Empath Closing School in August 2023 and started the course in January 2024. The course is self-paced and online so I could study as well as teacher at the time. The course first gave me a mindset – reset… (which is always a good thing). Then came the development of the skill set. I always thought I had good communication, but I soon learned there was plenty room for improvement. There is also plenty opportunity to get practical experience in too with lovely fellow students from all over the world. There are weekly support meetings led by the lovely Lara, head trainer, who really couldn’t be more helpful. Lara is a specialist in this field and has a fountain of knowledge which she is always happy & willing to share with her students. I needed this course to help me have the change I was looking for. I certified and got my first job working for a Health & Wellness company. I consistently closed sales call and earnt an income. I have now been able to stop teaching altogether. June 2025.

I live abroad, and was stuck in a low-paying job when I saw an advertisement for The Empath Closing School. It promised to teach a new type of work in Conversational Closing for high-ticket sales, where with the right skills, a person with no previous sales experience could access countless high paying opportunities. Frankly, I had never heard or dreamed of this type of work, but it was intriguing because they often place graduates in roles as closers in the personal development field which is right up my alley.

I interviewed to get accepted into the school, and enrolled on a payment plan, with a promise that upon graduation, they would place me in a role that I would find fulfilling. The training was intense, demanding, required me to grow, and use my mind in ways that were outside of my comfort zone. I persevered and graduated after four months of real effort and intense learning.

Upon graduating, I was presented with opportunities. I interviewed, flailed, improved, learned, and gained confidence and skills to hone in on exactly the job I wanted. That was a role where I could help individuals make a transformative life decision and enroll them into a program that could propel their life into something that would change their life forever.

I got hired, and I trained learning computer skills I never experienced. It was challenging, but I kept going until I was finally ready. The type of selling we are trained to do is one on one Zoom calls. I had mastered this skill and was hired along with other applicants that had years of sales experience. But I was formally trained by the best of the best.

My first day of work was a half day. I earned as much as my two week paycheck in my previous job in a single day. I’m on track to earn over $10k USD in my first month with room to advance further still. This type of job, and this type of income were beyond my wildest dreams. But it worked.

Why? Because the training is the best of the best. It requires you to master new skills and think on your feet in live Zoom calls. This is a course that you pass not because you did the modules. You are required to prove your skills in an array of sales strategies that empower the prospective client. You don’t sell, you empower. By doing so, you can help a person make a very hard decision that’s both scary and out of their comfort zone, because you help them to gain clarity on their situation, and by making a difficult choice, it can open doors they never dreamed of.

When I signed up, it was made clear… “Endure short-term discomfort to learn new skills, which in turn leads to long-term comfort.” Another one, “We don’t train you so you feel better, we train you to BE better!” All delivered as promised. I am so happy and proud of my new life. And I only work six hours per day, because we were trained to create our desired life on our own terms, and free time for quality of life is just as important as a lucrative income.

This is the most money I’ve ever made in my entire life. I’m 59 years old, and I know that with my skill set, I’ll always be in demand as the world changes in the future.

If you're reading up on the Empath Closing School (ECS) here, it's likely because something got you curious about this course, just like I was super curious when I saw the ad.

But like so many of us in life, we want something, but then talk ourselves out it, and we actually look for reasons NOT to do it, such as choosing to read the negative reviews here only and because of them decide you've got a good reason not to train with ECS to become an Empathic Closer. You'd be missing a ton if you chose to do that.

Sure, read the negative reviews if you want, but wow, do NOT skip reading all the positive reviews. If you're open minded, it will be impossible not to see the lameness of the negative reviews, and the sincerity in the positive.

This is exactly why people need an Empathic Closer to help guide them to a decision they want to make but fear and other limiting beliefs / objections get in the way. This course has been amazing and exciting from the start!

Decision making and both buying / selling is hugely psychological, and this is why I was drawn to this course from the very start! I love the psychology of human behaviour and selling.

I was already a trained and skilled Life Coach and Counsellor, confident and successful already in selling high-ticket programs for my own business!

But wow, this course has really opened my eyes to what I was missing in the whole process of empathic selling - active listening, being in the moment with the client, challenging limiting beliefs and objections, and gently but confidently leading the person to the right decision.

I'll admit I was always a sort of "listen, do you want this or not" guy in my own business. I saw objections and limiting beliefs as just lame excuses to get out of wanting to fork out money for something that they know they want. Was I wrong! They are normal and typical psychology at play!

I'm super grateful for Lara and the ECS. I joined Dec 16th, 2024. Took me three tries to get certified on April 24th, 2025, from a successful role-play call, and since then the training hasn't stopped and the job opportunities are everywhere.

When I came across the ad for The Empath Closing School while scrolling through Instagram, I was curious and a little skeptical (as many of us are when it comes to Instagram ads, I suppose). Before even clicking the link, I did some research on the business, and on the lady who runs it (Lara Mcilwraith). I found both good and bad reviews but noticed that all the bad ones were written by people who hadn't even taken her course--they were simply speculating and then trash-talking.

I decided to at least book a "discovery call" to see what it was about and get the chance to speak to someone on the team. I spoke with an advisor named Gary and we had a conversation that brought forward the things I was struggling with and what I wanted to do about it in such a simple, matter-of-fact way. By the end of our Zoom call, I was both extremely nervous and excited—nervous because I had zero experience in sales (which is what this course teaches you about) and excited because this may just be a turning point for me. I got enrolled, got access to the learning platform, and started looking through the content that same day.

Now, even though there's a 2-week money-back guarantee (as per UK law where The Empath Closing School is registered), I didn't look back once I jumped into the video lessons and started learning about the world of sales—ethical sales to be specific. I was enjoying learning a new skill, exploring the side of sales that doesn’t make me squirm and interacting with people who had similar values, mindsets, and goals. I had a bit of a hiatus during the training process as I was backpacking at the time and didn’t have consistent access to strong wifi and/or a quiet space to dial in, however, I certified before coming home to Canada and am now in the second phase of the program which is finding a job.

So far, Lara (founder & head trainer) has been super helpful in answering questions and guiding me in taking steps towards finding the right role for me. As I’m still working on this part of the process, I may have to come back and update this once I commit to a role, but so far, this program has been one of the best decisions I’ve made to create change and feel closer to making my long-term goals a reality.

UPDATE: I GOT A JOB!!
Well actually, it's been a few weeks now since I signed and it became official but I've been going through the onboarding + training process so I REALLY start working on this coming Monday.

The role I secured is with a company that actually reached out to me through GoSales (a job board specifically for remote sales opportunities). From my first look at the job description and company values, I knew it would align and so I went through with the invitation to interview. After about an hour of speaking with the Sales Manager, all the pieces fell into place and I knew that this was the role I wanted to move forward with.

I was interviewing with two other companies at the same time, but was really feeling good about this one and literally squealed when I got the "We're pleased to inform you..." email. I let the other Sales Managers know that I had found a position and began the process of onboarding right away.

I can't express how excited I was to get started and finally apply the skills I learned at TCS (The Closing School). Again, none of this could've been possible without the consistent support and guidance from Lara and her team (shoutout to James!).

I'm so grateful that this opportunity turned into my first remote sales role because it not only aligns with my values, but it also presents so many opportunities for growth that I can confidently say that I'll be with this company long-term.

I had no prior experience of closing High Ticket Sales. I was both excited and terrified at the same time. Lara, who heads up The Empath Closing School is the perfect coach. She has the right balance of both experience and remembering what it's like to be a newbie. She leads with a huge amount of integrity, passion for the industry and empathy for her students. I got more than I anticipated! The training is comprehensive. The twice-weekly group Zoom calls detail the aspects of the training while supporting students in the practical application of the deceptively small, but hugely important details when interacting with clients. The conversational relationship-building basis of the training not only positively impacted on my personal life, but gives me the confidence to step into any sales or related role where interaction with people in general, and clients specifically is required.

As an expat teaching online, I wasn't making much money at all. I had just bought a cheap house in Italy (Living la vita Sarda is my Youtube for reference) and wasn't really sure how to make ends meet and then some.

I saw an ad for the empath school back in October of 2024 and diligently watched and learnt all I could and then signed up for a call. I remember telling a friend about it and saying "I think this is the thing I'm meant to do".

I had a call with a great guy called Glen and he helped scared little me at the time make a very important decision that has really changed my life.

Like everything in life, it is up to you to follow through and do the work and this course is no different. The learning curve I went though was HUGE and it felt really hard sometimes. My limiting beliefs around sales and money and confrontation have been shattered and I'm so grateful for the person I've become because of this course.

When I finally got certified, I was so excited to use the companies resources (job board and customer support) to get a new job and I was employed with an excellent company with incredible earning potential within three weeks (I'm only three weeks into the new role now and while it's been another huge learning curve, it's opening up so many new possibilities for me and I am already earning waaaay more than my teaching job and I've only just begun).

What I loved most about all of this though was the support, the friends I've made, Lara's live trainings (she's soooo knowledgable and incredibly generous with her time - even supporting me post employment when I was feeling overwhelmed with the challenges of a new job) and the new person I've become in the process and am continuing to become.

At present, my life is centred around my new position which is great. That said, I choose my hours and have independence in my role, no one is hand holding me anymore as I am a contract worker with freedom and can take time off when I want and travel and still work should I choose to. It most definitely hasn't been easy but it most definitely was worth every second.

I am still in touch with Lara as she continues to support me and I have made many friends from the training that I am still in touch with too. We meet and chat online and have been supporting one another this whole time. It's been so great to see the skills we developed in the program open more lucrative doors for us all, allowing us to start new careers later in life and leave our underpaid ones behind while creating massive potential for growth and development. I joined the Empath Closing School in a critical moment of my life. I was exhausted, underpaid and struggling to make ends meet as a single mum with a 2-year-old. I was close to burnout. Then, I saw the ad for the ECS and decided to give it a try. The closer did an excellent job, and made me realize that my life could change if I was willing to put the work in. They don't sell you a magic solution to get money quickly: you're going to learn to be a closer in the high-ticket sales industry, in a super effective way that has been proven to work (spoiler: it does!).

I decided to join on the 5th of December 2024, and 6 months later, my life has immensly changed.
The course is amazingly done, intuitive and complete. You can go at your own pace, which is great when you have a really full schedule like I used to.

The first thing Lara teaches you is to reframe your mindset and work on your habits. This is the base of absolutely everything and it has been a game changer for me. It was very, very uncomfortable but it was worth it when I see where I am today.
You will also have A LOT of practice, in a very supportive and positive community, through the role play sessions. This is where you apply the theoretical knowledge with the other students, and it's a great adventure.

Frankly I'm shocked to see any bad reviews here. My experience has been amazing. Joined in November 2024, certified in mid February 2025 had first job offer in March. The training is fantastic, I consider myself well versed in psychology and would say I am emotionally intelligent so some content were skills were a great refresher, but other aspects were a real eye opener and sometimes a 'wake-up call'! I knew nothing about sales however and couldn't imagine myself ever doing that. But what appealed to me was that I didn't look at it as 'sales' particularly, rather helping people who really want to make a life change get out of their own way and make the best decision for themselves. That is hugely rewarding. To succeed in this you have to have that desire/attitude, which was possibly lacking in those trashing this course! Lara is a wonderful Lead Trainer, she really gives her all to help every single person on the course - I don't know when she finds time to sleep! A real added bonus is the Community - I'm still blown away by the support and kindness of everyone - such lovely lovely people. If you follow this course, complete the training, put in the practise and engage with the community, you will not fail to achieve what you want - but you do have to make the effort.

Take note that this review is from someone who has actually completed the course and been employed within a few weeks of graduating.

You will notice that all of the negative reviews which accuse this course of being a scam are from people who have never even enrolled and experienced the course. Quite appalling that Trustpilot would even allow this, but anyway let's move on.

First of all this isnt a ponzi scheme. If it was a ponzi scheme then you would only be working for this specific company after graduating. Yet that is only an option. In fact most students, including myself, get employed by other well known companies which have been around for years. Companies such as Marissa Peers' RTT, Joe Dispenza and Bob Proctor's endorsed Mind Movies by Natalie Ladwell (just to name a few), as they are partnered with The Empath Closing school.

As for the training, I received more than I expected. Lara takes her students' success very seriously and goes above and beyond to make sure her students graduate successfully and get employed by reputable companies.

Don't listen to the people reviewing something they haven't even experienced.
