They never sent the report, after 36 hours. They lied to me and made up feeble reasons. I lost a potential $40,000 sale because of their ineptness. On top of that, they charged me twice! For nothing but aggravation. Tomorrow, I call my credit card company...

Poor communication and customer service. The service is advertised to take 6 to 12 hrs. It's now 30 hours and I haven't received the report that I paid for and I have not received any communication after sending them emails and contacting their online chat.

Had a good detailed conversation with the guy. He even knew my area. I did the report and then found out his number was no longer in service.
They just want the report money. I did get minimal goofy report my 10 yr old son could have wrote by googling my trailer info…useless!

Attention arnaque, contact sur la centrale avec plusieurs messages avant de nous demander de faire un paiement sur ce site pour éditer un rapport d'historique. Très insistant.

Same as all the others. Innocent questions at first, seemed interested but then insisted on this service.

Ils te font croire qu'ils veulent vite acheter le véhicule et au prix avec un paiement rapide pour te ferrer, et te demandent de faire un paiement sur ce site d'arnaque.

I paid for their RV Package for USD30 which itemised the 12 vehicle checks that would be included on their report. On their report none of my vehicle details were shown so there was no way to tie the report to my vehicle. Of the 12 items 7 items were completely missing and 3 were completely inaccurate. In fact I received far more details all accurately shown from a free online service. AVOID.

Like the other reviews here, a polite gentleman got in touch with me to buy my car, but he insisted I got a report from this specific website in America, no other HPI check in the UK would suffice. He insisted he would pay the asking price if I complied. This felt strange so I have investigated this site and had the same experience as other sellers. Tread very carefully!!!

Am in email correspondence right now with someone who wants to buy my car advertised via Autotrader. He sent a link to this website - glad to check here first ! sounds very dodgy. Wants me to use an American website saying he cant as he doesnt have the'title'. Also bad spelling mistakes on the website.

Exactly the same things happened for me using Gumtree. Polite bloke asked me a couple of questions - accident history, address, when I'm available, how I would like payment.

He sent the link in between all this, so I checked Trustpilot to see reviews and if it is legitimate. Now he's very insistent it is an ok service. As if there would be any reason not to use Service NSW (the government version).

I was recently contacted by a polite individual interested in the car I was selling. He seemed happy with the asking price and asked reasonable questions about the car’s condition, any recent repairs, and my location and availability.

However, things became suspicious when he insisted I obtain an inspection/history report specifically from theinspectview.com. (For context, this is a U.S.-based website, while I am in Ireland.) When I offered to provide him with the necessary details to get the report himself, he claimed he couldn’t due to “privacy policy restrictions” (which is not correct practice) and that only the title owner could retrieve it. He assured me that if everything checked out, he would reimburse me for the cost.

Sensing something was off, I instead provided a verified vehicle history report from a well-known and trusted Irish website (rated over 4.5 stars). Despite having the option to purchase his own report, he refused to accept mine. Instead, he responded with excuses, claiming he had been “ripped off” before and could only trust reports from theinspectview.com. He even added that his wife loved the car, which was why he was being extra cautious.

Shortly after, another person with a different name contacted me, making the same request but directing me to a different website for the report. Their writing style was nearly identical, raising further suspicion.

🚨 This is a clear scam targeting sellers by pressuring them into purchasing a potentially fake or unnecessary report from a specific website. Be cautious! A genuine buyer can obtain their own report from a reputable source rather than forcing the seller to use an unknown one.

Be carefull, this is probably a scam to get your credit card or payment details. They act if they are very interested in your car that you have advertised on a car site and want to buy it for the asking price. They then request you to buy the VIN history with theinspectview.com for which they will reinburse you later, this way they get your $ 40,- and your credit card details, it's probaly a big scam!
